I am curious if he thinks this squad needs 6 months to be ready for competing because it seems poor to compare this squad to the Crawley one he managed.

I don't find what Kewell says to be interesting half of the time, he speaks things that are the same but just said differently.
He gotten a little defensive with how he said that the previous manager had his way of doing things, I don't mind listening to Harry. I just feel he sounds more American than Australian myself.
Good morning PoN Iβm afraid you all failed my little test yesterday to see if you were awake, I put the wrong date on the Daily Chat Thread, well actually i confess it was a mistake so Iβve slapped myself on the wrist.Β ????
Its a lovely bright morning again and set to be dry but cooler than yesterday, which will be good because we are doing a long walk today to do some maintenance on our geocaches which are miles from any parking, weβre taking some sandwiches and a drink and making a day of it. For those of a nervous disposition or are squeamish look away now.Β
I had a weird dream last night, I was sitting with my wife and a friend on a bench in Derbyshire, I know it was Derbyshire because there was a stone wall in front of us, our friend had a dog which was running round the field on the other side of the wall, all of a sudden we realised the dog had hold of a squirrel, our friend went to rescue the squirrel but it was badly mauled and barely alive so he said it was kindest to put it out of its misery. He then got hold of its back legs and started to bash the squirrel against the wall to kill it, whilst on the other side of the wall we were being splattered with blood, worst still I had a white suitΒ on.
So I wonder what that was all about, any dream analysts out there?Β Β

So countys next three games are crucial for Notts In turning there season around. We start off on Saturday against Crewe followed by Crawley on Tuesday night kick then away at Macclesfield. All three teams are either below us Macclesfield or just a few places above us Crawley and Crewe. So if we win we take points from above to climb out the relegation and the others to catch up.

Good morning PoN, itβs cloudy first thing but forecast to clear and another bright, warm, sunny day is promised.
Iβm going for a run soon, hopefully it wonβt affect my hip again as it did last time. I like going in the morning when itβs quiet just the odd dog walker but lots of wildlife on the canal, it helps me put my thoughts in order.
Tonight we have a meeting of the support group we help to run for people who like us have lost a loved one toΒ suicide, the meeting can be very emotionally tiring as you can imagine so when we get back late on we have a glass of wine or gin and tonic and unwind before bed otherwise we donβt sleep.
Have a great day everyone and donβt forget to come and tell us what you are up to today.
Here we go then guys and girls here are my player ratings for the trip to Sixfields. I attended the game and was well happy with a point and a clean sheet away from home.
Based on /10.
Fitzsimmons - 7.5/10 (MOTM) - Positioning still needs work and will come with time. Brilliant saves made and in the second half stopped us from going 1-0 down. Really happy for him today to finally get this clean sheet. Few silly positioning errors but apart from that spot on and looked like the keeper he was last year. Well Done Fitz!
Tootle - 5/10 - Average. Didn't really offer much in attacking movements but did his job OK in defence. A few careless passes but he was just trying to create something so will give the benefit of the doubt.Β
Turley - 6/10 - Another solid performance. Really see this guy fitting in well. He is the definition of 'If in doubt, kick it out' which is something I think we need in the back 4. My MOTM up until half time.
Ward - 6/10 - Decent performance. Did his job well.
Evina - 5/10 - Dropped off from last week but did his job well and read the game well too. Good performance.
Boldewjin - 6/10 - Used his pace well and caused the Cobblers defence a few issues, he switched up and opted to cut on his inside instead of his outside and get shots off so to me this shows that he is unpredictable and really shows his quality and understanding of the game.
Milsom - 6/10 - Solid! Doing exactly what is required of him. Maybe a little better first touch is needed but apart from that no qualms.
Husin - 4.5/10 - Played well but I am still not happy with his delivery. He is wasted on set pieces when we have Evina and Alessandra who can both provide deadly balls into the box. He chased balls he lost though and recovered well. Bit better deliveries and I will be changing his ratings in the future.
Alessandra - 6/10 - Few good shots taken and played well out on the right hand side. Instructions were understood and did what was required. Unfortunate not to get a goal.
Stead - 5/10 - 550th league appearance. Love the man! Lot of effort put in today but was marked well and therefore isolated. But what a career this guy has had. Legend!
Hemmings - 6/10 - Best chance of the game when he hit the bar. Unlucky not to get a goal. Northampton's defence marked him well and he struggled to latch onto loose balls. However he played well and as always the effort is always there with him.Β
Β
Subs:
Hewitt - 5/10 - Didn't make an impact but held his own.
Osbourne - 5/10 - No impact made but I assume this sub appearance was to boost his confidence maybe for Kewell's future plans with him?
Β
Overall I think it was a good point away from home. Northampton had the better chances and if it wasn't for Fitz today we could've lost this game. But overall we are unbeaten in 2 and it's little things like this we can build on. Crewe is a big test for all players next week as in my opinion we should breeze past these at home. They didn't recruit well and are in such bad away form. 3pts next week is a must I think. COYP!!!!

So Uniteds season of the tumbling blocks continues to fall after defeat at old Trafford in the Carabo cup. A stunning free kick from Wilson put derby back in the game Romero sent off were some of the highlights and uniteds 94 minute goal . Mason Bennett put in a shift and a half almost scoring at the Stratford end but was later subbed off. I think as a former team to loanΒ him was very proud of him. It was a penalty shoot out Derby hit 5/5 penaltyβs uniteds sub goalkeeper Grant got near to some but not to be. It was the 8th penalty taker phill Jones who didnβt look confident amidst rumours of a dressing room bust up with pogbaΒ who would miss and send United out and heap the pressure on Jose. But Derby played well all match they passed well they took the game to United and much deserved the win rookie manager Lampard for me is on course for a Stella careerΒ as a manager if we base it on tonightΒ I felt that united didnβt deserve to go to penalties. Well done and congratulations Β @super_ramΒ a great of football and fully deserved ????????????????????????????????

Good morning PoN itβs yet another lovely bright morning and temperatures are set to get to 20 degrees not bad for late September.
Iβve been suffering a bit with a painful hip after my run yesterday so last night I filled a hot water bottle and slept with it under my hip and it seems to have done the trick itβs a lot better today.
A nice surprise this morning when I stepped on the scales I only need to lose half a pound and Iβve reached my target weight of 11st 7lb which means I will have lost 2 stone, whenΒ I started running I was 13st 7lb, now the question is do I set a new target of 11 stone or stay as I am?Β
Have a great day everyone.

Sorry to hear @AmericanPieΒ is feeling under the weather from yesterdayβs Daily Chat Thread, hope you are feeling better soon.
Iβm going on a run shortly when all the kids are in their respective schools,Β I want to increase my pace, my son has suggested doing a shorter run so that I can go faster and get used to the increased pace before I do a longer one so I might try that.
Later I need to mow the lawn if it stays dry and also phone to arrange for a service on the central heating boiler.
Have a great day folks.Β

So away at Northampton on Saturday Ross kept his secondΒ clean sheet of the season not only that but was named as the P.O.N man of the match. So could this be the turning point not only for County but for Ross ? Last season Ross played a handful of games and did enough to impress the fans and the gaffer it was only his kicking out incident that earned him a 3 match ban and dropped down the pecking order. But could Saturday now be the turning point from what fans that went or watched said he made a string of saves and kept County in the match. So Iβm hoping that the faith that Kevin shown in keeping him is reward all be it he isnβt there to see it but thats not the point. Rossβs confidence can only grow now and I hope I was wrong about him when I said he wasnβt number one material the only way is up now.Β
What do you think guys and girlsΒ Β

Stead comes across as a very likeable guy, he's done well this season and he's quickly becoming a club legend. I don't understand why some portions of the fan base get onto his back.
Brilliant this!
Steads reactions and answers, enjoyable video.
Brilliant idea by the club, it's funny and entertaining.
