Cambridge away will be very interesting now as Cambridge as just appointed Shaun Derry as manager what are the odds that they will beat us an moniz will get sacked.

Headline Notts old boss sacks clueless Dutchman

I think Spencer could be on his way to Cambridge on a loan just a theory guess I have

We today played in a behind closed doors friendly against Derby and got hammerd 7-1

On this subject i have to say no he has had  half a season to sort out the players he brought in he did a full over turn of players and surly by this point they should have learned to play the Ricardo way. Other managers have had less time and less money than him. I think its time he went and we made way for a manager who can get results cause if we get relegated thetas it none league football for the oldest football club is just not exceptable in my view.

Ronan played today in the 7-1 thrashing apparently he was a wide player nice to know he played as a wiseman winger role God help us

Shaun Derry in the running for Cambridge United job was at the game against Bastingstoke I believe in the cup and taking notes apparently has already spoke to chairman.

And is belived to be in the running what would the odds be on him getting the job and we go there after Barnet and lose I can see it happening right now .

Headlines old Notts boy relegates Ricardo moniz.

in fact knowing our luck watch it come true it wouldn't surprise me one bit

Cheaper ticket prices, safe standing? Nah, what the Football League really needs is another rebranding.

http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34800391

Of course, the EFL name has nothing at all to do with the common practice abroad of calling the Premier League the EPL. And who cares about tradition anyway? It's only the oldest football league in the world after all. Of course, the ridiculous names of the divisions will remain, as they're still suitably stupid. "The incredible Division" and "The Utter League" will just have to wait until the next rebranding.

I was also surprised to learn that 18,000 fans had been involved in the consultation process. Was any of you consulted? Which one of you decided that a logo reminiscent of a washing machine manufacturer would be a good idea?

anyone here who has a iPhone I didn't realise the amount of dust these things gather so today a decided to clean it .

As the charging port is so tiny I could only use a toothpick or a toothbrush the brissels.

So anyone I used my toothbrush madly enough anyways as I'm cleaning the jack for the headphone bit I cleaned it all out etc I then did the port as I cleaned the port a mini dust ball came out .

I've only had my iPhone 6 for probaly 4-5 months maybe less but it's mad I realised If to much dust gets in the port it can stop the connection when the phones on charge .

Just a heads up if you're not aware

@[member="Blackville"] and I were at the second RL test England vs. New Zealand last weekend at the Olympic Stadium. What will it be like for football there?

Not good in my view. Behind the goal you are far too far away from the action, a bit like the old Wembley. I don't think it's well designed for a good atmosphere, it's still more an athletics stadium, albeit without the track, than one for any code of football.

Also there are nowhere near enough food and drink outlets.

Due to the International break there are no championship fixtures this season so we have three league one and three league two fixtures.

Saturday's Fixtures:
Barnsley v Port Vale
Colchester United v Coventry City
Gillingham v Bury
Exeter City v Crawley Town
Northampton Town v Mansfield Town
Yeovil Town v Stevenage

I'll be there on Tuesday, I hope you'll all forgive me when I say I want Juve to lose for this one game only!

Do not vote in anger or solely because we lost to a non league outfit! Vote on how you feel overall.

Think this is one we can all agree with unless we have been watching diffrent games.

I was just reading the Leigh Curtis post web chat thing and there was a lot of talk of why isn't Curtis playing etc etc.

Time an time again Leigh was like what does Curtis Thompson bring to the time when has Thompson last scored and who would you replace .

I'm sorry but what Curtis brings is passion desire energy tackle hassles players presses the ball cares for the club great stamina

And he should replace smith anyone who thinks Curtis doesn't offer more then smith is blind this lad has ability okay he may not score loads but does smith?

He gets stuck in he chases everything down he doesn't stop and he is always on someone's toes he's the kind of player you needed Friday.

Someone who will hassle put players under pressure and show abit of pride and someone who will give the fans everything.

Sorry Leigh but if you think Curtis doesn't offer much you're blind

Simple post really that involves a few key points up for debates but let's make it interesting list the players you feel shouldn't be in the first 11

Then list you're players who shouldn't come off the bench
and also what does everyone think to players playing out of postion.?

I believe if a player is playin out of postion like Jon stead on the wing it's confidence destroying I mean if you're car was running on petrol you wouldn't use diesel would you.

It's the same for players to get the best of there ability you must play to there strengths and there positions

For me players who shouldn't be playing smith And Audel

Players who should be playing Curtis Thompson far better then smith and has a great stamina and also Snidjers and also Milsom

Players who shouldn't be on the bench coming on are Jenner this guy has got to have a appearance fee cause time an time he comes on offers no effort.

Everyone have you're say and you're reasons why you would not or would have the players starting also I feel

sorry for Edwards we should of bought a centre back not relying on him.

In order to try to bring a little positive news, just thought I would do a Youth Team update:

This morning at Arnold Town FC the young Magpies were at home to 'top of the table' Mansfield Town who have only suffered a single defeat this season.

After Friday night's embarrassing performance at Salford City FC we were looking for the youth team to play some decent football to help raise our spirits.  The few of us present at the game were 'entertained' by an ex player who left us in no doubt as to his views on the current squad of players, manager, coaches and owners - none of it complimentary.

Conditions were atrocious with heavy rain and a strong 'goal to goal' wind.  Notts had the advantage of the wind in the first half and used it well putting the young Stags under pressure early on.  After 18 minutes Notts took the lead when a good move was finished with a good shot into the far corner of the net by the left foot of Yohan Rutty-Smith.  On 28 minutes the Mansfield 'keeper, under pressure from a Notts player, dropped the ball at a corner and Nathan Cobain put it in from close range to give the young 'Pies a 2-0 half-time lead.

With Notts having to face the strong wind in the second half, the game was far from over.

In the second half Notts were initially under pressure but played superbly against the strong wind keeping the ball on the floor at all times and passing crisply.  Against the run of play, in the 73rd minute, a fine run by Luther Wildin ended with a fine pass to Yohan Rutty-Smith who curled a fine shot into the top corner for a 3-0 lead.  Notts continued to play well with the ball on the floor at all times and the game was rounded off when Alex Howes rounded off the scoring in the final minute for a convincing 4-0 win.

Of today's team, only three were second year scholars making it a very young team.

Before going out of the League Cup last Saturday Notts had won five consecutive games so today means they have won six games out of the last seven - not bad for a team who don't usually start in earnest until after their Christmas dinner!

If you're into you're video games likes me and play Xbox one or ls4 PC etc.

If there is one games I recommend you buy its Need For Speed 2015 the new one never in my life have I seen a detailed graphical game it's beautiful.

Anyway it's one is recommend for anyone whos bored of the pick of the bunch that's out at the minute

I hope you will join me and wish our very own @[member="magpiejue"] a happy birthday to cheer her up after yesterday's result.

Happy birthday Julie.

A trip to the North West for Notts on Friday night. We all know about Salford since there were taken over by the class of 92. There's even a weekly series on them on the BBC on Thursday nights.

Salford play in the Evo Stik League Premier Division. That's 3 levels below League 2. Salford are 4th in the table, 9 points behind the leaders but with 3 games in hand.

They lost 2-1 at Nantwich Town in the first qualifying round of the FA trophy last Friday. They made 9 changes to the side that drew 2-2 with Matlock Town in their last game so they obviously rested players with the Notts game in mind.

Salford have a few players with league experience. The best known is Danny Webber who played for Manchester United. They also have Stephen O Halloran who played for Villa. The main threat is striker James Poole. He has 8 goals in 11 games this season.

Salford like to play the ball on the ground but they don't shy away from the physical side of the game. Their preferred system seems to be 4-3-3 which works well for them based on their results.

Notts should win this game, no matter what side we field. Salford will come at us in the first 20 minutes but if they weather that storm, class will tell eventually. We cannot take Salford lightly. We have treat them as if they were Portsmouth or Plymouth.

I'm going for 3-0 to Notts and a place in the second round of the FA Cup.

Let's all be honest here no lying we was Sh*** anyone who defends that you need spec savers and fast that was dire .

I don't mind losing if we have loads of shots an there keeper is pulling off worldies but I can't Rember him making a save .

Our plan was hey lets just hold the ball as far as we can kick it no effort no fight or passion to physce each other up.

I mean that second goal 4 players around him and he's embrassed them so easy they could of had 4-5 goals

Moniz didn't show no passion to get them kicking not at all Jenner is just a tw** FACT if he wants fight with fans do it somewhere else.

Campbell came on an looked like he wanted to try and he should of scored no excuse Steas is never a left Winger moniz it's simply obvious

Se Silva is a prince oh is my hair okay is it still in place

Noble not botherd to chase at all

Hewitt not interested at all first goal he saw the run stilled back so causal an showed no effort to busy a gut an try stop it his marker

McLeod just couldn't give a crap it's a where's my pay check at his view

Sheehan looked lost the whole defence were terrified

And moniz should simply leave

It's okay though those Salford players have work at 9AM
maybe earlier Notts players can have a nice relaxing day off after a hard days work 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Just watching the goals on channel 5 and I see Alan Judge helped Brentford demolish Charlton with 2 assists and 1 goal, this follows 2 goals last week.

Nice to see ex players doing well.
