We went camping with our two eldest grandchildren and our son and daughter in law came with two youngest grand kids.

It rained all day Friday so got wet through putting up sons tent and the awning to our motorhome.

Yesterday was lovely though and we went for a bike ride, had a train ride and flew a massive kite shaped like an octopus (yes really)

Later we went fishing and eldest grandson Quinn caught a decent size bream (see pic)

Later we had a great BBQ and a few drinks after the kids had gone to bed.

Today it rained again so got wet through again taking tent and awning down, fantastic weekend though, great to get everyone together.

It was my birthday last month and for a present my son bought me a camping trip plus tickets to see a Rolling Stones tribute band called Rollin Stoned.

Β

We camped as a family and me and my son went to see the band on Saturday night, it was a double bill with a group who were called Abbey Road Experience, they were on first and did (as you can imagine Beatles songs) they weren't a look a like group but just played the music of the Beatles, we thought they were very good until the Rollin Stoned came on stage, they were magnificent, I'm a big Stones fan and I've seen the real thing 3 times and watched loads of videos and I though this tribute band had them off to a tee, every mannerism was spot on the music was damn good too. They really had all the oldies rocking in the aisles.

A great weekend.

In the summer of 2009 County were taken over on the back of huge mineral rights granted to Swiss Commodity Holdings by the North Korean Government; rights to mine everything from gold to uranium; Sven Goran Eriksson attended at the signing ceremony in Pyongyang in June 2009; SCH were added to the Club's badge and Eriksson took over as director of football with dreams of the Premiership. It became known as "the Project" and for a few short months it made news around the World before collapsing into a pit of fraud and recrimination.

But just how close did David Beckham come to joining Β County; why did Sol Campbell leave and what exactly happened at the Football League compliance meetings?

Thoughts?

Mick Jagger was 72 yesterday. Considering how he allegedly abused his body with drugs and drink during the Stones hey day, he doesn't look bad for his age, still rocking today and pulling in the crowds.

Sky Sports have shared some interesting, yet very depressing stats, view it - Here.

Welcome to PoN @kneejerk.Is that your reaction to yesterdays result ?

Our newest member is @Qadbak, a big welcome to PoN, hope you like what you see and join in when you can.

What little character he has left after the assassination of it by all corners of the media, let us see if we can totally finish the job.
Β
He pledges his future to Aston Villa, assuring them he is going nowhere, everybody holds him up as some kind of modern paragon of virtue. Before you know it, he has changed his mind, and decided he does want to leave after all.... No messing about, straight up to Manchester and before you can say Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, he is a City player.

On the 7th of November Manchester City travel to Villa Park, now I am not normally a fan of the premier league, but this one game has suddenly become somewhat appealing.....

Β

your thoughts....

Β

Hi folks,

Β

Anybody going to Wembley on the 1st August for the Women's FA Cup final? I'm unsure how to go about it. Driving, coach or train? And is the club putting up any transport for fans to get down?

With all the signings, I am wondering if the squad is now seen to be complete?

Prior to Loach and Atkinson, most fans seemed to just want a striker. I am not expecting any more signings myself, but i am happy with how the team currently looks. At this stage, if anyone does come in, I think they must be strong contenders for the first team rather than anything else. What about you?

Do we need cover anywhere else?

The all conquering English Premier League is now in the spotlight again for the wrong reasons... you can forget all the latest signings, we all know that the only thing supporting that league is money, from broadcasting and from sponsorship.... This latest article says that most of the premier league clubs do not cater sufficiently for disabled fans, in fact some of them behave abhorrently.
Β
Lord Holmes is going to be writing to sponsors and broadcasters partners to try and persuade them to withdraw their support for the league and the way things are on this topic. Is this likely to succeed, we all know that big business does not like its name to be associated with all the negativity and the real bad publicity that can come.... here is the article...

Β

Just another reason for me to dislike the Premier league... but what do you guys n gals think, will this do any good, where does your moral compass point with this....

Β

have your say...

Right-back Wesley Atkinson has joined Notts County on a one-year deal with an option to extendÒ€¦

Β

The former West Bromwich Albion youth graduate has been on trial with the club throughout July and impressed in the friendlies to become NottsÒ€ℒ 15th summer signing.

Β

The 20-year-old also scored at the weekend finishing off a flowing move against Alfreton Town where he played in a more central role.

Β

Atkinson, who has played a majority of his games for AlbionÒ€ℒs Under 21s side also gained experience for Cambridge United on loan last season, playing twice.

Β

The energetic full-back also has an eye for goal having scoring twice in the Under 21s Premier League and also scored once in 13 appearances in the Premier League Reserve League.

Β

He was released by the Baggies earlier in the summer and will be hoping to continue to impress to force his way into Manager Ricardo MonizÒ€ℒs first team plans this year.

Β

Fans can sponsor WesÒ€ℒ full kit, training kit and boots and socks by contacting the clubÒ€ℒs Commercial Team on 0115 9557 241 or e-mail:Β [email protected]

So its our toughest test yet and we will be able to see how our team fear against actual league opposition looking forward to seeing how we cope

Hi guys

Β

I've lived in Nottingham quite a while now and can't travel to my home town very often for one reason or another.

Β

So I've got myself a season ticket for Notts and I have to say I'm buzzing for it. Sat on the kop a fair few times before so that's where I'm sitting, never tried the other stands other than the away end!

Β

Have I picked a decent spot or should I have gone else where?

Β

Anyway really looking forward to, got a real soft spot for Notts, a proper football club in a great city,

Hello and welcome to PoN,@hot spud. Please make yourself comfortable and join in posting.Enjoy!

I have looked at pictures taken in the past 3 friendlies, none of which seem to feature Moniz at all. In fact Carlton seemed to be more down to the coaching staff, Alfreton seemed to be Kevan as the man in charge.

Can anyone confirm if he was present at the friendlies? What is going on?

Was spotted at the game big centre back don't know much about him but i think we could do we one more centre half and then that position is setled.
thoughts?
