No problems here... Probably 1 minute time lapse.... Macca could have won it in the last minute but a brilliant stop by their keeper...

my stream was great but i almost game raged at times, its a good job i had nothing to throw at my view because some of the mk dons players asked for it.
i am joking, as i was at the game and i would never throw anything.

I'm still a bit annoyed that after several years, iFollow still isn't compatible with Chromecast. The National League stream worked with Chromecast on day one. That said, the stream itself is always reliable.

With Jodi Jones out on international duties, Luke Williams has a decision to make about who to bring into the side. Fans have been speculating about the possible options, with some preferring Sam Austin, others Adam Chicksen, and still others hoping for a surprise return to action from Will Randall.
Sam Austin has been in good form recently and could provide a solid option for Williams. He has shown his ability to create chances and score goals, and his pace and skill on the ball could cause problems for opposition defences.
Adam Chicksen, on the other hand, offers a more defensive option. He is a reliable player who can provide cover at the back while also contributing to the attack. His experience and composure could be valuable assets for the team.
Will Randall is something of a wildcard option. He has been out of action for some time, but if he is fit and ready to play, he could provide a real spark for the team. His creativity and flair could be just what the team needs to unlock opposition defences.
Ultimately, the decision rests with Luke Williams. He will have to weigh up the strengths and weaknesses of each player and decide who is best suited to fill in for Jodi Jones. Whatever his decision, fans will be eagerly anticipating the next match to see who gets the nod.

I don’t mind; I can see the logic behind Adam Chicksen starting, and I understand that other players have had to wait, so it makes sense for Adam Chicksen to be the player who starts. Personally, if Luke Williams has enough faith in Will Randall to start, then that’s fine. He may bring something that MK Dons haven’t prepared for, so there may be benefits to him starting. Like I said, I don’t mind. I’m just eager to see the players do well and protect our unbeaten run.
-
Likewise, I think the only answer is Adam Chicksen. I wouldn’t start Sam Austin, as we may need him to play behind the strikers, but he could do the role. As for Jim O’Brien, I think his experience is best used in midfield, where he can contribute more and have players around him who can assist if necessary. I could see him being targeted out wide.
-
Adam Chicksen demonstrated why he should have been in the starting line-up. It is unclear if Will Randall even made an appearance as a substitute. I don't remember any.

https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/23762906.ruben-rodrigues-people-questioned-oxford-united-move/
United reportedly beat Championship side Cardiff City, plus League One rivals Barnsley and Derby County, to his signature.
He said: “A lot of people questioned my decision to come to Oxford. Of course, Notts County is a big team and I was loved and always going to play.
“I wanted another challenge, I have never played league football before. I know [United] finished low last season, it was always going to be a question of how well we do this season.
“I have no regrets since moment one. The players and staff have been brilliant with me and we are top of league one. “
On the U’s early season form, he said: “You always look forward to the next game, especially when you are top.
“Teams come knowing it is going to be a tough game for them so they are going to have to bring everything which makes us be on our toes.
“We know we have to deliver because know how good we are now. That always makes it better because playing well makes it fun for everyone, it’s nice winning games and buzz around here.
“It’s still the first five games, so of course we are happy but we haven’t done anything really, there are 41 games left.”
And on that elusive first goal, he added: “Of course I want a goal, I know as soon as it comes then more will follow.
“It is always the first one that is the waiting process. I know it will come because the good things take time.”

Yes, I agree. Oxford United fans need to lower their expectations and be patient because when Ruben does his magic, they will appreciate him as much as our fans did. They can’t expect a player who has been playing in the Non-League to suddenly start performing to the standard of their current squad; this type of thing always takes time.
-
Ruben Rodrigues is a player with potential and is expected to enhance his performance over time. Despite occasional inconsistencies in his game, he remains a valuable asset to the team. However, Dan Crowley’s arrival has undoubtedly bolstered our squad. His technical skills and creative strategies make him an upgrade for us, adding a new dimension to our gameplay.
-
Ruben Rodrigues, while a very good player, wasn’t perfect even in the National League, but he has the ability to influence any game even when his own performances leave room for improvement. He’s what you get. Oxford United fans either have to lower their expectations or understand that he needs time. Some of the comments on their forum make you wonder if they had seen him play for us or even knew they signed him on a free transfer.

On Saturday Notts travel to MK Dons, how many links between the two clubs can we find?
My offering is Alan Smith who we signed Fromm MK Dons in 2014 he made 87 appearances and scored no goals.
How many more can we find.

Blackpool has spent good money, perhaps not this season, but it’s due to their spending that they have been bouncing around the leagues. I think this is a case where Blackpool’s fans need to be mindful of what is happening across football and how overspending isn’t the best of choices. Sometimes you have to be wiser with your budget, whether their chairman is being tight-fisted or not. I still think that, provided they are a decent League One team, they shouldn’t make such demands about their spending.
-
I don’t know much about Blackpool’s issues or their chairman, but it reminds me of when our own fans wanted Ray Trew to spend silly money to get out of League One. Only for him to later say he won’t put any more investment into the club. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Blackpool and its fans need to meet in the middle.
-
The owner of Blackpool is first and foremost a businessman, and as such, he is unlikely to allow the club to become anything that would cause financial struggles. However, I have noticed that he seems to be holding back on his investment this season. Perhaps he is saving money for future improvements or trying to ensure the club’s long-term financial stability. It’s difficult to say for certain, but fans should be mindful of the club’s finances and how they are being managed.

Rodwell was never "customer facing" at Notts. His career path since: Scunthorpe, Sunderland, Peterborough Hull , now Charlton.
-
Jim Rodwell was notorious for telling lies and getting caught during his time at Meadow Lane, but Notts seemed better run than when he was replaced by the mini-Hitler. In my opinion, that should never have happened and was more about saving money, all those wrong decisions to back youth, inexperienced managers, etc. I was pleased when Jim left but regretted it afterward. Thankfully, we now have people who don’t want to engage in point-scoring, sparring with fans over nonsense or being anti-social online.
As for Charlton, they won’t get our Luke. King Williams will remain at Meadow Lane for the foreseeable future.

This won't change much for me, I am mindful of what I eat, but I won't suddenly start worrying that a bit of ice cream is going to cause me issues. We've been having milk for decades now, something which we shouldn't have been encouraged to drink or have with our cereal.
People once said it was good for you, now it's known to be something we should be reducing.
In 20–30 years, everything we eat will be bad for us that isn't natural, but I doubt we will go back to eating the basic things our bodies were designed to eat solely. Besides, we only live once and people should just be mindful of what they put into their bodies.
-
its just about being smart and not over eating things which are unhealthy, surely not all ice cream is bad for you? over processed ice cream sounds like something most would want to avoid.

Good player. And a good (and necessary) signing for Spurs. But £45 million? I don't see that. This is not an anti-Forest post. I just don't get the economics of the top flight.
- Show previous comments 10 more
-
Given a six-year deal, it shows that they want to see their fee somewhat protected for the long term. However, if he doesn’t reach their heights, the fee will still be way over the market value. No wonder Forest snapped up their offer. You can’t blame them for taking the money, but Spurs are rather silly with some of their fees.
-
Football is very inflated these days. I know some Notts fans thought we could sell Macaulay Langstaff for over £5 million. That would be over the odds, even though he had a great season last year. It’s just the way the transfer market is these days; when clubs don’t want to sell, they ask for more until they will part ways.
-
Brennan Johnson isn’t good enough for the upper end of the Premier League. He’s a good player, but a lot of the praise is hyped. The amount of money Spurs paid is astronomical.

It should be a good move, I think. They need a goal scorer and he’s a player who needs a fresh challenge. If this happens at Fleetwood, he may go on to do well with Peterborough or end up elsewhere.
-
In my opinion, Tshumanga may not perform well at Fleetwood. I don’t think he would fare much better in League Two either. It’s possible that he will return to the National League before long. While he has potential, I don’t think it’s something that clubs will see as being of a high standard, especially when compared to the better players he will come up against.
-
Tsimanga is an odd player because he appears to be of high quality, but he never performed well against Notts. He was injured for Chesterfield and his previous team when he played against us, if I remember correctly. Fleetwood really needs to make the most of the loan move.

Truly happy to see such a glorious triumph for Notts. The game was pretty tense at the start, with Accrington flashing the ball a couple times and Notts showing slight signs of discomfort. However, our boys showed real grit and answered back loud and clear. Langstaff's brace was the cherry on top, they simply couldn’t match his calibre!
It was also pleasing to see how the team, under the guidance of Williams, adjusted their game plan to counter every move by Accrington. The tactical adaptability our lads showed was truly remarkable. Lingering on the top spot on the league table caps our superb run in the game. Truly proud to be a Magpie!
-
The result was a very good victory for Notts. I prefer to listen to Luke Williams’ points on the game rather than John Coleman’s take. Williams comes across as very complimentary and gracious towards Accrington. Coleman reacted like a manager under pressure; I wonder if he was holding a book of managerial excuses. Notts played very well and were very entertaining. Accrington tried, to their credit, but simply weren’t good enough. They should do well, but they lack the quality we have. 3-1, great result. We could have easily had 6; Accrington, if they had better finishing, could have had a few more too.
-
It's frustrating to see teams like Accrington Stanley come into matches solely focused on playing defensively and securing a point. While they may have delivered a tidy performance, it's clear that they lacked attacking intent and didn't trouble our team much aside from the set piece they scored from. It's disheartening to see missed chances and shots straight at our goalkeeper without no real test.
On the other hand, I'm proud of our team for playing with spirit and quality. Refereeing decisions can have a significant impact on the outcome of matches, and it's disappointing when the performance of the referee falls short. Inconsistencies and poor decision-making can mark the overall quality of the game. However, Notts did well and It was a superb win.

It’s good to see Notts at the top of the table. It reinforces the belief in back-to-back promotion, but while I am happy, I am still cautious. It will take a lot of hard work to maintain this position and continue to perform at a high level. The team will need to stay focused and determined in order to achieve their goals.
-
It’s great to be top of the league. I hope we get a chance to celebrate this more often throughout the season. It will be a positive sign of how we are doing and where we might go come the end of it.
-
It's really uplifting to see the team performing well and currently in a strong position. The fact that we are aiming to stay at that level shows our determination and ambition. It's always an exciting time when your team is doing great, and it's fantastic to see the club's progress.
I believe this positive momentum is down to the hard work and dedication of the players, coaching staff, and everyone involved with the club. It's important for us as fans to support our team and continue to be optimistic about the future.
For now, let's enjoy being top of League Two and hope it's not for the last time this season.

I am not particularly concerned; it is simply good to have the additional support. Luke Williams will provide the loaned players with an opportunity, and at present, we do not require their services despite the fans’ demands. I am one of those fans, so I am not being overly critical. Connell Rawlinson is more than capable of performing well, but we now have the option of using younger players. We shall see what happens.
-
I am pleased we at least made a signing. I think it’s more of an addition to cover for the congested fixtures and potential backup. It would be good to see him come in when needed, and hopefully, he will do a good job. Otherwise, if he’s stuck on the bench, he might get recalled if that option is available.
-
I am just pleased that we have got a defender. It would be easy to settle for what we have, but at least we now have some form of cover. I understand how some fans feel, but I am trying to see the positives. He should want to do well, especially considering how the team is performing. There’s nothing like winning games and leading the league.

Priceless reaction! It would be hard not to laugh. The news anchor will be thankful that he is in the studio by himself, as they do these days.

I am surprised he didn’t go running around the office waving his arms as if he had scored. Football is a beautiful game!

No doubt, he supports Arsenal. I don’t see a person banging their head on the table; that would have been a United fan. It’s always interesting to see how fans of different teams react to their team’s performance.

Notts may have been slow, but the statistics could have been from the beginning of the season. I’m not sure. I don’t believe we are slow at the moment because things have settled down. I don’t pay attention to things like this, as comparing us in this manner seems strange.
-
Notts can be slow, but it’s not always the case. I don’t think this is very fair in terms of reflection on how Notts plays. Williams must be doing something right as we are top of the league, and as @Fan of Big Tone said, it got us promoted last season.
-
I wouldn’t say that Notts are a slow side either. When they get a grip of the game, they can demonstrate a lot of speed and determination. It would be interesting for someone with time to investigate further how the person who came up with this managed to achieve these results. I bet it’s misinformed! Notts are a very enjoyable team to watch when they are performing well, showcasing their skills and teamwork on the field.

Nice complimentary words from the Tranmere fan. It does seem as if Wrexham fans are a tad jealous of Notts right now. There’s no doubt that Notts are a very good team when they play well. Fingers crossed, we have found our form and can push on from here.
-
Fair comments. You can tell that he is not biased or bitter like some opposition fans. It is a nice reflection on Notts.
-
I feel like our style of play is not something you see in the lower leagues which is probably why we are managing to beat so many of these teams we come up against.

Yes, Tyrell Waite should do well. Good luck to him.

i have been watching a lot of pundit videos on football, along with vlogs and articles.
our recent game against tranmere rovers was a very enjoyable game.
not just because of how notts played but also how tranmere did, the game was very lively and i thought the atmosphere made it even greater. but i found myself asking are we being too critical at times? does it effect the fun of watching games back?
dan crowley missed a sitter, after david mcgoldrick hit the post from his shot. it bounced around and somehow perfectly found its way to matt palmer. who put in an excellent pass for crowley who really should have scored but placed the ball wide of the goal post. this moment in the game had me very excited, almost on the edge of my seat because notts had put a lot of pressure to score a 2nd goal. reading back, seeing all the comments, i do wonder if we are guilty of being too critical and if it comes as a cost to the enjoyment?
i am not saying its wrong to be critical, i am just asking does it ruin the enjoyment of that moment in the game when things that entertain us happen and then looking back we tend to put it under a magnifying glass.

-
I try to balance criticism with positives. I always try to see the brighter side of situations, and although that can be hard, I feel it’s something I do well. I can perhaps be a little critical, but I would never let it cost my enjoyment. We have had our ups and downs, mostly downs, and it’s nice to have a club that is trying to move forward in the right way. I do think we have some massive idiots on social media, people who take joy in picking at the players and moaning. They’re extremely critical, but I don’t focus any energy or time on them.
-
It's my belief that fans often live in the present and don't consider events beyond what has recently occurred. While it's uncertain whether some fans are too critical, it is a possibility. Generally speaking, I find that fans frequently undermine the joyous moments by continuously fixating on the negatives, like a broken record. I personally find these types of fans to be dull and excessively serious. Football is a game filled with passion, but we must remember that the players on the field are human beings who shouldn't be subjected to the incessant complaints of such individuals.

It’s an interesting point; I think we all do from time to time. I would rather support and enjoy watching Notts than allow what happens to cause me to be too critical. At times this will happen, but I think I am able to reset. I know there are people who have a disliking for Sam Slocombe, and this season it seems to be Connell Rawlinson and Kyle Cameron. To be at the point where you call for them to leave or complain after one mistake, not taking into consideration all the good they do, then I would hate to be those types of people. They are far too unreasonable and critical of things.
This is the attitude that irks me. If everyone criticised Macca on the same basis (i.e. every time he missed a shot or a pass went astray) then we would have a very different view on his abilities. It seems that every season there has to be a scapegoat, and it seems pointless.

Much as it pains me I’ve got to agree a bit with their manager who said our third goal shouldn’t have been allowed as there was another ball on the pitch right in front of the goal. I reckon by the letter of the law it should have been disallowed as there were two balls in play. Anyone agree or am I talking rubbish?
-
Lapse of concentration by Cameron?
-
Stone 7 - dropped a basic cross early and nearly gifted a goal, but some really good saves otherwise.
Rawlinson 6 - usual solid game.
Brindley 7 - continued his good form in the centre of a back 3, did ok when we went to a back 4.
Cameron 7 - defended well and some good forward moments.
Nemane 6 - a bit mixed, his defensive work was as good as the attacking side.
Palmer 6.5 - more misplaced passes than usual, but a great ball for the third.
Bostock 6.5 - got better as the game progressed, worked hard all over the pitch.
Jones 6 - apart from the opening goal, his crossing was lacking today.
Crowley 6.5 - did well to beat bigger defenders for his goal, but a bit mixed otherwise.
McGoldrick 7 - his class shone through at times, always posed a threat.
Langstaff 7.5*- a quiet first half and after the early second half misses I thought it wasn't going to be his day, but he stuck at at and got his rewards. The first was individual brilliance, back to goal on the 18 yard box and nothing on, but a quick turn and sublime finish. Second goal was classy, dinking the ball over the onrushing keeper.
Baldwin 6 - did what he had to do.
Chicksen 6 - played into trouble with a couple of poor passes, but competed well.
TAR 6 - offered an outlet for the long balls on the right.
Austin 6 - not overly involved, but did ok.
We were below our best but I think we played a good team. Accy were fast and physical without being dirty, and offered a good test. It was touch and go but we came out with 3 points. That opening day nightmare at Sutton seems a long time ago!- Show previous comments 9 more
-
Stone 7 - generally quite good, some errors but none of which proved costly. he made up with it with a great save with his legs.
Rawlinson 6.5 - played well until he went off, a few moments where he lost his man but he made up for it.
Brindley 7 - solid player in the centre of the three, much calmer and does everything needed.
Cameron 6.5 - did well but he tended to hang onto the ball for longer than needed and in those defensive areas it seemed neglectful.
Nemane 6 - being kicked and targeted does not help but he did just fine.
Palmer 7 - superb throughout, calm and composed. Eager to get the ball forward.
Bostock 7.5 - brilliant second best player on the pitch.
Jones 6 - he did well, gave a lot of energy but became frustrated with being targeted with challenges.
Crowley 6 - Good first half, neat at times in the second but not his best performance by far.
McGoldrick 6.5 - he struggled at times, but he did some very neat passes and worked hard.
Langstaff 8* - scored his second despite being clattered twice, i was surprised he did not go off. he just looked fired up, chased every ball. The true Man of the Match. -
I agree again with @Elite_pie; it’s hard to rate the players when we are performing well, as the ability to score them differently becomes lower, and that’s why more people will be inclined to agree. I do think John Bostock played a vital role in midfield.
-
I didn't think David McGoldrick had the best of games by his standard; he did some good stuff but in the first half he seemed to struggle. In the second half, I felt similar, but he did have spells where he made important challenges, with times of neat passing.
I think even 6.5 is quite generous for him. I'd probably settle for a 6.
He didn't play any better than Jones.
