So the captain announcement is due very shortly who do You think will be given the armband.

Kevin Nolan has alluded to giving the armband to Richard Duffy, it would be a big disappointment if he did.

I hope for David Vaughan but Kev's not going to give to anyone other than Richard Duffy. Reason he has given it to Jon Stead for the most part of the pre season is to avoid the negative, I hope his decision is correct.

Make it David Vaughan, he can command the defence and ensure the attack isn't disconnected from games. Richard Duffy isn't the right player for it.

Richard Duffy for me, most managers captains reflect themselves (quiet and lead by example or the complete opposite) and Richard Duffy does that perfectly for Notts.

Richard Duffy would have to be more focused on lifting the squad if he does get the captaincy, his flopping to the floor and his attitude can be quite poor. I would rather Jon Stead get it myself.

Give it to someone with experience and a calm head.

I would love for Richard Duffy to perform well and, captain Notts strongly but I have a feeling he will ultimately the club down. His defending last season was dubious, the way he bossed himself after being the armband didn't impress me. If he can encourage, lift and focus I will be more than happy to say I'm wrong.

Personally I don't think he's focused enough to cope with the role.

The captain can make a big difference, I have read comments about Richard Duffy not being good enough and in my opinion I do feel he is someone who can be replaced. This said, I think he did well last season and if there is nobody with experience he may be the best of the bunch.

David Vaughan calls are interesting as he may fit the bill.

I can live with Richard Duffy being named as the clubs captain but I do want to see it announced before Saturday, it would be a poor hand by the club not to announce it.

I have accepted it will be Richard Duffy so I don't know why the club just doesn't announce it.

Honestly, at this point in time I would be more surprised not to see Richard Duffy named as the clubs captain.

If he is, I will get behind him and hope he matures, guides and inspires the players around him. It's going to be a big season for Notts, so we need to try to be supportive when it matters. I'm not his biggest fan but I am coming round to the idea of it.

Who's the captain Notts? Announce it already. Every one knows it's going to be Richard Duffy so just reveal it.
