Harry Kewell Appointed!

Featured Replies

I’ll get behind him, I didn’t want to see Nolan sacked but I support the club not any one person so if he does well then so will the club, he deserves our backing.

Harry wouldn’t have been my choice but I don't pay the bills !

I don’t see any reason he can’t do a great job for us, he’s got the basis of a great squad and with a few well chosen additions we could be back on track very soon.

it will be interesting to see who the new director of football will be.

As for Fletcher throwing in the towel at the first sign of trouble, well at least Alan knows who his real friends are now. Fletcher was only at Notts because he couldn’t afford a seat on florist’s board .... come to think of it he couldn’t afford to be on Notts’ board either he was only there because it’s not what you know, it’s who you know !

Here’s the plan ! Harry will watch from the stand on Saturday, assess what he’s got to work with. Sort out a game plan next week, go to Exeter and the revival begins with a win against all the odds and this horrible week will be fading into a distant nightmare..... ????????????????

I feel the same way,

My opinion isn't to be negative but without seeing what Harry Kewell can do and basing thoughts on his rookie career so far, well it feels bleak to me. I don't know how anyone can get excited about this appointment but I will get behind him and I wish Harry well.

I just hope fans who may moan or groan will try too, as I feel comments about Jamie Fullerton might crop up.

I'm not overly impressed but he deserves our backing now. It'll be interesting what he can build out of the players he has at his disposal.

@DangerousSausage the squad looks more than capable on paper.

I feel tactics and in-game management would do Notts a lot of good, adjusting quickly to setbacks and outcomes would make a difference. Kewell would not have been anywhere near my list but he has the job now. It's our job to get behind him.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

I don't think it's naturally the best appointment that could have been made, but I do feel Alan Hardy has appointed another young manager who wants to prove himself further. It's also not the worst appointment, I would grade it somewhere in the middle and that would be fair to say I am a little disappointed.

But look we have to get behind him otherwise things could become even worse.

I don't think you can compare the appointment of Kewell to that of Fullarton, at least we've heard of Kewell and he has been managing a league side, however Fullarton came from nowhere it was a huge gamble.

No, I mean fans shouting "This is worse than anything under Jame Fullarton."

I heard these cries under Kevin Nolan at times and it's annoying as sin.

Oh yeah, that happens all the time you have to close your ears, although I don't think its as bad in the Pavis where I sit, most are asleep, all I can hear is @magpiejue berating the ref. :joker:

Chap sat next to me at the match on Saturday and said he had moved out of the Kop stand because everyone was so negative, I'm still wondering if it was @Ancientpie because he said on here he had moved from the Kop to Pavis.

Well i'm not negative towards the squad eh, only the ref  lol

Yes that’s right, mind you the ref does deserve it most of the time.

I hope Harry can win the fans over.

He has the potential to pull people in the right direction I think, I'm warming to him because he speaks sense.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!
