Understand he's on a big wage but disappointed he's gone. Never used in the right way at Notts.

Scored 14 goals in a team that struggled last season, despite being put on the wing for some games and being injured. Got a lot of undeserved stick in his time at Notts. Had good link up play and a good work rate as well

Good luck to him

Financially it’s a good move .. and also for Hemmings as well I don’t think he wants to play for a none league team so it’s better to end things now.

It is a shame to see him leave, he's a good player and a proven goalscorer and they're not easy to find. And I'll never understand the ridiculous stick he got. But if he wanted to leave there's no point in standing in his way, especially if his wages can finance several new additions. Now we need to find suitable replacements, and quickly.

He did play well and saying he was our top scorer I don't get why people gave him hate

Good signing for them.

I'm disappointed myself, wages aren't an issue or shouldn't be for a club moving forward.

He wasn't playing in the correct position, he should have been played more as a striker where he would have scored more goals. If you look at his record, it's not that bad per appearance and the players some fans are suggesting should come in don't remotely compare. The club needs a clinical striker, with pace and someone who can hold the ball up well.

It's a crying shame but look, if Neal Ardley continued to play him out of position he wouldn't be wanted by anyone and he would still remain highly ineffective at our club. It's best to do a cash grab and hope Ardley has some sense about signing a striker, if he's done a Manchester United and not replaced one of the few goal scorers we have.

It might just turn out to be the final nail in his coffin.

Good signing for them, he will get goals and no doubt be played as a striker.

It makes you wonder if Neal Ardley was attempting to get him out of the club by playing him wide?

best to allow him to go if the money can be used to sign two replacements, notts just needs a goal scorer and someone used to this division or standard of football.

If he's replaced properly I won't be bothered, but selling a player like Kane Hemmings and not replacing him well just shows a lack of ambition which at this time isn't needed. Getting out of the National League will be hard enough, without having the correct strike force in place.

I wish Kane all the best.

I dont have twitter.

I still think Kane Hemmings needs replacing, one striker in and one out doesn't seem like smart business when you only have 3.

Posted

I think hes been sold because they wanted to play other players in his position, but he could be used just not in Ardleys plans.

Posted

It won't be long before Kane Hemmings is firing them in for Dundee, I do feel Wes Thomas is a decent signing but nowhere near the replacement level. Different player all together, I hope Neal Ardley continues to search for another striker.

Posted

I think Wes Thomas will do well, he seems faster than Kane Hemmings but I still feel disappointed by allowing one of the better players to go. You have to hope it was worthwhile and not a decision which will punish us.

Posted

Does anyone else think Notts looks better without him? Morale and all the strikers seem quite high.

Posted

I liked Kane Hemmings, I thought he was a good striker who tried but I do feel the club is now better off. The players signed are giving everything, they work well together and it's hard to see what difference retaining him would have made now.

If he wasnt going to be played, he may aswell have gone. So wouldnt of made a difference to our squad. They do seem to be playing better so i hope they can keep it up.
