I saw a picture of the above game where Notts player Gordon was hugging the Chesterfield player Gordon at the end of the game, I think it was @Dan’s picture. Are the two Gordon’s related does anyone know?2 points

Oh Dear Oh Dear Oh Dear. Poor Choice it Doesn't Matter what the Guy has done at Club Level, being a National Side Coach is a whole Different Ball Game. And Coaching the England Team and Being German is Going to throw up a load of Unique Problems, some of which I've touched on, on here. If like it's been stated Tuchel isn't a Yes Man, then he's Not Going to last long with the FA, plus the Fact one of his Major Problems at Chelsea was he couldn't Handle Prima Donna Players, then he's going to have his work cut with some of England's so called Stars. Eddie Howe should have been Chosen. It's a Dark Day when an Englishman isn't picked to lead his Country. Sean Dyche is another Manager who like Howe had taken an unfancied Team (in his case Burnley) up into the Heady Heights of the Premier League and like Howe Knows how to Mold Players Together and Get Them Playing As A Team, something the Present England Team are in Dire Need Of. I await the Media Headlines when Tuchel's England Team Suffer It's First Defeat.2 points

Seems a bit of a strange appointment to me given his talent for falling out with people. At least no one can accuse the FA of appointing a "yes man" this time! It's also a bit sad that we're having to appoint from abroad again. Have English coaches so little to offer? As coaching the England team is very different from being a club manager, I'd have been happy with a "no name" coach who knows the setup and can organise and inspire the players. Whether Carsley would have been an option I don't know. But of course I hope TT does well!2 points

I have seen comments about it being his cousin. I can't confirm, but I doubt he would randomly hug someone. Unless they have played together before? I don't know, but I have seen people on Facebook state it's his cousin.2 points

Kellan Gordon has a younger brother Kaide Gordon who plays for Liverpool, but is currently being loaned to Norwich City. Lewis Gordon hails from London. As far as I can tell he's no relation to Kellan or Kaide. Source Wiki.2 points

@Wheelbarrow repair man I think you'll most likely see McDonald coming on as a substitute, then start in the FA Cup, & EFL trophy match to build up his fitness before he makes a start in a league match.1 point

A Quick up date on this Story or Alex Ferguson really, the part owner of Manchester United Jim Ratcliffe has been looking to cut the Club's Cost therefore Alex Ferguson has Now Lost His Position As Global Club Ambassador and Club Director. Which was costing the Club Millions of Pounds. In a Private Face to Face Ratcliffe told Ferguson of the Decision and the Meeting Ended Amicably.1 point

@Robbie It was this statement that made me write the Topic in the First Place, that Tuchel was in advanced Talks with the FA Simply because they can't get their number one Choice Pep. Interestingly enough the England Players seem to be on Lee Carsley's side and have Praised his efforts of trying to bring New Ideas to the fore, however it would seem the FA Doesn't want Carsley to do that and Media want what the FA Want hence the Flack he got after the Greece defeat. Who by the way are a side that are Footballing Minnows (according to the Football Press) compared to the Three Lions and yet and Yet have Won more Euro Titles than England Have. That's how Poor Greece are. Who can Blame Carsley from Not wanting the Abuse Stirred Up by the Media which will Eventually involve his Family you can Rely on that because that's how the British Gutter Press work. High praise for a week or so when you win a Match and then Abuse and name calling when you lose a Match for months on end. So Why Not be in Charge for the Six Matches he's been Allocated, then Simply fade back into the Relative Obscurity of Coaching the England U 21 Side.1 point

I have a side to play Alfreton. Bass, Cundy, McDonald, Ness Gordon, Hinchy, Palmer, Tsaroulla, Austin, Reynolds, Scott Subs, Macari, Cisse, Crowley, Jatta, Abbott, Slocombe, Brown.1 point

I can't remember the last time I went to an 'Ofton' game @Fan of Big Tone.,it must be 50 years or more. My dad used to keep me up to date with results and performances but since he passed away I just check their results along with all the other results. He would have been really chuffed to be drawn against Notts.I just hope it's a good game ,free of controversies.1 point

Yeah good draw that, given the proximity Alfreton will be able to easily bring a good number of fans. We seem to usually get the better of them in friendlies, but this will be a totally different type of game, I'm looking forward to it!1 point

The last thing they need is yet another nostalgia appointment. He'd probably be tempted but should leave his legacy alone.1 point

We will be ball number 34! There are 80 teams in the round, 32 of the teams are from Non-League, 48 from the EFL so the odds will tip slightly in favour of drawing another EFL side… I’m hoping we’ll avoid a team in our league as we play them twice already. And any trip to top league 1 side will be tough. Big no’s to Wrexham and Shrewsbury for me, I’m fed up of losing to them!1 point
-
I don't really mind who we draw. I hope it will be a team that we don't have to worry much about. I know teams lift themselves for the cup, but if we draw a team where fielding some of our youngsters can give them experience and also help us make the next round, it seems like a win-win to me.1 point

I am a Clash fan; that is my favourite band to listen to. I grew up listening to them; all of my friends liked them and for the time they were the coolest act to follow. I do like Queen also. I think Freddie Mercury had one of the best voices in music, closely followed by Morrissey.1 point

I used to go to Ripley folk club late 60's to early 80's.It was run by The Ripley Wayfarers ,Mick Peat was a member and had a show on Radio Derby.Had some fantastic nights there and met and chatted with many acts who will be remembered by most people for other things.Barbara Dickson,Jasper Carrott,Mike Harding and Tony Capstick come to mind.I even got @GrannyPie to come with me a lot of times and she said it was different to what she expected and became a big fan of Gary and Vera Aspey.Happy days !!!1 point

No, I would rather pass on it. He performed well for Derby last season and can still play at a good standard. However, we don’t need him. We already have three forwards. Where would he fit in?1 point
-
I don’t want McGoldrick back at Notts. He is not the same player he was when he left us and he would not fit in our system or our philosophy. He is too old, too slow and too expensive for us. We should look for younger and cheaper players who can grow with us and help us improve. McGoldrick should retire at a higher level, not come back to Notts and drag us down.1 point
-
This would be an amazing coup for us. McGoldrick is still one of the best strikers in the country and he would be a huge asset for us. He has skill, pace, power and finishing ability that none of our current strikers have. He would create and score goals for fun and he would inspire our team to play better. He would also bring back some nostalgia and excitement to our fans who remember him from his first spell at Notts.1 point
-
I’m indifferent about this rumour. I don’t mind if McGoldrick comes back or not, as long as he performs well and helps us win games. He is a decent player with some experience and quality, but he is not a game-changer or a superstar. He would be just another option in our squad, nothing more nothing less. I trust the manager to make the right decision for the club.1 point

I listen to Peter Gabriel and I love his eclectic sound and creative videos. He is one of the most versatile artists of the 80s, with songs like Sledgehammer, Shock the Monkey, and In Your Eyes. I enjoy watching his music on YouTube Music, which offers access to music videos, live performances, interviews, documentaries, and more. YouTube Music offers a visual and interactive way to access music, as it allows me to watch and listen to my favourite artists and songs, as well as to comment and interact with other users. YouTube Music also allows me to create my own content and showcase my musical talents and opinions.1 point

I listen to Stevie Wonder and I love his soulful voice and funky rhythms. He is one of the most influential artists of the 70s, with hits like Superstition, You Are the Sunshine of My Life, and Sir Duke. I enjoy listening to his music on my Hi-Fi system, which delivers high-quality sound reproduction that is faithful to the original source. Hi-Fi systems can enhance the listening experience by creating a realistic and immersive soundstage that makes you feel like you are in the same room as the musicians.1 point

He never really got the credit he deserved over here for some reason. I have most of his albums, including the brilliant songbook which has quite a few not so well known songs. There is an album due to be released in July, already ordered:)1 point

I don’t mean to suggest that the owners must spend money, but I do want to emphasise that this season is a crucial time when such an investment could make the difference between achieving promotion or remaining in the playoffs/mid-table.1 point

Good luck to Wigan. I hope they can sort out their finances. They have had a good rise in football and I hope they don’t end up like Bolton, Portsmouth, Coventry and others who went backwards.1 point
-
Yes, they weren’t biased towards us compared to other teams and said plenty about Notts. You could say they didn’t do the same for Wrexham, who did receive some praise at times when it wasn’t truly deserved, but that’s to be expected.1 point

I really enjoyed listening to We are Notts on BBC Radio Nottingham. It was a great show that captured the highs and lows of our journey from the heartbreak of relegation to the joy of promotion. David Jackson did a fantastic job of telling the story with a lot of passion and attention to detail. He interviewed some of the key players and staff who made it happen, and also gave a voice to the loyal fans who stuck with the club through thick and thin. It was a very emotional and inspiring programme that made me proud to be a Magpie. Well done, David and BBC Radio Nottingham!1 point

Recently, I’ve been spending some time doing gardening and other tasks around the house. It’s been a great way to stay active and productive. Of course, I’ve also had some downtime where I’ve enjoyed watching TV and browsing online. Tomorrow, I’m excited to be driving to York to see some friends that I haven’t seen in years. It will be great to catch up and spend some time together.1 point

Jodi Jones possesses the talent and skill to make a significant contribution to Notts and it would be wonderful if he were to pledge his future to the club for the long term. His performances on the pitch have demonstrated his value to the team and retaining him would be a major boost for Notts.1 point

He appears to possess the skill and quality, and is young and eager. It remains to be seen if he will sign, but based on the videos shared by @liampie, I would be pleased with the signing.1 point

Sam Pearson appears to be a promising player who is on the rise. He seems capable of scoring goals and could provide depth and potentially earn a starting spot based on his form. Like Sam Austin, he could be a valuable signing if it happens.1 point

Hi, my name is Xavier. I've been a fan of Notts County since I was 4 years old. Both my mum and dad have always loved the team and they took me to my first game against Fleetwood Town in 2014.1 point

I must say, this must fuel the players to get the job done and get Notts promoted. Those players who have experienced us reaching the final and semi-final, they need to go that extra mile to get us back to the Football League. It takes hard work and determination, but I have faith in our boys. They have what it takes to get us back where we belong.1 point

I thought Notts would win, but I didn't expect them to take over the top spot in the league, with Halifax securing a victory over Wrexham.1 point

It's always saddening to learn about the passing of someone famous, especially if they had touched your life personally. Mick Vinter has touched the life of many football fans, not just Notts. He was a very good player.1 point
