The amount of leads given away this season shows a real weakness but at this stage I would rather take the point than to lose the game. I just hope some sort of improvement can be made with the defence because it's a bigger problem than some fans realise.

I still feel quite disappointed because imagine how much of a boost the three points would have been, there's no justification for giving a 2 goal lead away and Colchester by their own admission wasn't very good.
I've spoken to fans who have said how both teams looked quite poor.
Colchester's have praised how we attacked but have been very critical of our defence, however some of our own fans feel it's perfectly fine in a relegation battle to throw a game away. I mean I would take the point and would have done at the start, it's just the way in which Notts did draw. It's disappointing, once Colchester knocked it back to just a one goal lead for us, we should have done a lot more to protect the back.
I feel its a good draw and the game was quite entertaining but I just feel disappointed too.
Neal Ardley's changes seemed too defensive minded and this impacted the squad negativity in my opinion, I hope he learns to instruct the players to attack because it became embarrassing at times seeing how deep the players was at times.
It’s no secret that since Neal Ardley arrived at Meadow Lane both players and fans have taken to him as one of our own.
Under Neal the squad has shown some fight and signs of improvement, but every time it looks like Notts are back on the right road they slip and suffer defeat.
This was the result on Saturday, after a goalless draw with Bury, tails were once again up then the defeat to Oldham lead to more frustration ,none more than the gaffer.
Since his arrival Ardley has been honest about his players in defeat and win and shown fighting talk and real passion for the club.
After the weekend defeat at Oldham he gave his post match reaction to the Notts county website showing more frustration saying the response in the Oldham defeat wasn’t good enough.
He also said it’s frustrating because he wants his squad to give the Notts fans the performance they deserve.
Below is the link to the full post match with the gaffer.

So following today’s result and the fact that Cambridge and Yeovil are three points and five points respectively ahead of us and the fact the fixture list has us facing Cambridge then Yeovil in the next two games.
my question to you guys and girls is can Notts take six points off the next two games.?

So with January here means one thing the transfer window is wide open and for Notts it can be seen as a blessing seeing Notts bottom of the league fans are wondering if Neal Ardley will make use of the window and bring players ins in.
But for this to happen the rumour is players have to depart the club and last night I saw a picture screen shot from twitter saying Terry Hawkridge could be on his way out of meadow lane to Harrowgate Town if wages could be agreed.
With fans giving there opinion on players who they think need to leave meadow lane this is one player I hadn’t heard many fans say they thought his time was done.
Terry is liked by many magpie fans the winger is always ready to help fans weather be Charity games or just stopping to speak to fans to giving fans his shirts.
Hawkridge arrived in 2017 the 28 year old has 34 appearances and 3 goals in his time so far at meadow lane.
But is Hawkridge’s time up at meadow lane.?
Would you be happy to see him go if he does leave in the window.?

To start with, this is a weird game to rate as many players were up and down during the course of the game.
Fitzsimons - 6 - came off his line a bit more than usual, not at fault for the goals.
Evina - 4 - OK but not really good enough for this level. nothing particualry good or bad
Jones as a defender - minus 10 - always out of posstion, never closed anyone down, can't be bothered to try to stop crosses.
Jones going forward - 7 scored, put in some good crosses. The move to left midafiled was a good idea but 70 minutes too late
Duffy - 5 - unlucky with their second, made a couple of good defensive headers - mosned less than usual
Barclay - 6 - a good start but got caught inposession a couple of times
Bird - 4- partly responsible for Jones' problems as he should have covered across more to his left. Didn't communitacte with his fellow defenders on the left or in midfield. Worth sticking with though.
Vaughan - 5- some good passes but was a bit of a weakness on the left hand side of MF until moved into the middle.
Kellett - 5 - ran around as usual with a few good touches, but not as good as against Bury.
Milsom - 6 - covered his fellow midfielders quite well and was the only one to try and hold the ball during the first 20 minutes of the second half.
Stead - 6 - scored, but his passing has gone downhill from last season
Dennis - 6 - scored and was his usual busy self
Turley - 5 - looked better as a full back when we went to a flat back 4
Thomas - 1 - waste of a wage. Looses the ball, hides when we are in possession.
Alessandra - not enough time to get a rating
Ardley - 5 - worked out that the wing backs weren't working and went to a FB4 but too late for me.
Stadium - 6 - looses marks for being identikit and free of atmosphere, gains marks for tea costing £1, free programme, good view and easy to park and get to and from.

The day before the Cheltenham match in November I decided to enter battle with our online ticketing system so I could beat the queue at the ticket office. I tried all three of my bank cards and failed - each time the system loaded for what felt like an eternity before issuing an error message. As a last resort I tried my dad's credit card (with his consent) with the same result. I gave up and bought my ticket at the ground instead.
Why am I telling you this? Today my dad's credit card was billed by the club for 20 pounds for a ticket I never received! I'm embarrassed to say the least. Not only was no ticket sent, I never received confirmation of any kind. I've written to the club and hopefully they'll sort it ASAP. Paying once to see that rubbish was bad enough!
If any of you have tried to use the old Medoc ticketing system but had the same problem with payment, I urge you to check that no money was withdrawn for tickets you didn't receive.

A game of goals. Poor defence from both sides resulted in a 3-3 draw away at Colchester. While most fans would have taken a point at the start of the game ... they would not in the fashion of how the game panned out.
Szmodics gave The U's the lead after just 8 minutes but then Notts went through the gears and hit 3 past the sorry home team.
But in typical Notts fashion nothing is ever easy so we concede late in the first half and then what seemingly is a dive concede a penalty which was 100% going in before the ball was even kicked.
A good away point and with some results going our way it means next weeks game against Cambridge and the following week at Yeovil is 6 points we must take.

On Tuesday, it was officially announced what everyone expected at least after dropping out of the Polish Cup with Miedzia. Tadeusz Pawłowski ceased to be a coach of Silesia. He returned to the position of the director of the academy, because such a position was guaranteed in the contract in the event of dismissal of the first team coach.
- Tadeusz Pawłowski is a living legend of Silesia and I would like it to continue to be an important part of the club. Currently, however, we found ourselves in a difficult situation. The result of each meeting will be extremely important to us. We decided that changes are necessary that will give the team a new boost - emphasizes Piotr Waśniewski, the president of Silesia.
For the time being, the team in the last two games is to be led by Paweł Barylski, but it is difficult to predict who he will give away. The situation in Silesia is so dynamic that even recently it seemed that even a temporary trainer would not be needed.
Silesia already had the "well-known" Spanish-born Dutchman Ricardo Moniz, well-known in Poland. According to our findings, it was virtually accepted by the supervisory board, but the candidacy unexpectedly fell. The reasons for canceling the case on the final straight are not entirely clear, but everything seems to have been supported by the position of people from Oporowska who did an environmental interview and realized that Moniz had recently left the Slovakian AS Trencin seriously at odds with a large part of the local environment. He was accused, among other things, that he should focus more on his team than on fighting with the judges, he accused the league of being completely corrupt. In comparison with the circumstances in which he parted in 2014 with Lechia, it did not bode for harmonious cooperation. Silesia would be the sixth club in its CV in just four years. In Gdansk, despite promising results, Moniz could not find a common language with the decision-makers. He complained that he had no influence on the team he was trying to mount behind his back. At the end, he gave up work in Lechia for the benefit of TSV Munich in a way that in Gdansk was taken away as an escape, although it must be handed over to him that the clause about the possibility of leaving guaranteed him a contract.
Slovak direction
If not Moniz, who? Silesia is determined to seek a coach abroad. It has many possibilities, but very strong quotations of other foreigners will be very strong. He is a 41-year-old Serb Ivan Vukomanović, a former defender of, among others Bordeaux and Belgian clubs KSC Lokeren and Royal Antwerp. In 2014-15, a large part of the Vukomanović season was run by Standard Liege. Previously as the assistant coach Guy Luzon won with the Standard vice-championship of Belgium, but failed to break off the gates to the Champions League (Walloons have passed in qualifying Panathinaikos, but dropped out of Zenit and played only in the group stage LE). Behind Serb speaks great knowledge of working in an international environment and probably a great ease in mastering the Polish language, because he has already encountered the Slovak language. It has been free since about a year after splitting with Slovan Bratislava, where he worked for over 12 months. He won with him the vice-championship of Slovakia in the 2016/17 season, when Žilina was unrivaled. After the first season, the Slovaks were delighted with it. The owner of the club offered Vukomanovici a 3-year contract, which Serb signed exactly on the 40th birthday. Then, after a series of weaker results, the future candidate for training Silesia was farewell by Slovan.
Interestingly, last year's English Daily Mail tied him with the Birmingham City English Championship. He was supposed to be a man to replace Gianfranco Zola, a poorly performing at St Andrew's Stadium, today a manager of Chelsea, although the British called Serb a "shocking candidate".

According to Rijnmond TV from South Holland , Cláudio Braga , head coach of Marítimo, formerly leading the Portuguese, takes over the Dutch second-class FC Dordrecht after the winter break after the team has defeated 1-0 on Oss. As professional coach so far, led by Scott Calderwood - 5 wins in 1 game, 2 defeats, 2 draws.
- We are facing great challenges. We hope your performance will improve and we will improve. I trust the guys that we will be able to improve together. Apparently, the team is in trouble with goal scoring, and the right decisions are not always in the forefront of the attack - Braga told Rijnmond TV.
In addition to Braga, Ricardo Moniz , a Dutchman who controlled Ferencváros between 2012 and 2013 , and Jan Wouters were nominated for the position.
" We had a narrow list, and finally we decided to go with Braga, " Hans de Zeeuw began as club manager, and then he regretted the entry into force of the contract for the Portuguese specialist on January 1. " We just wanted to sign a contract on January 2 to save costs, but we couldn't find a better solution."
Dordrecht scored 11 points in the championship in 19 rounds, and is 19th in the Eerste Divise table, one point behind the last Jong AZ. Moniz was last led by the leading edge AS Trencín in Slovakia, but after five months, he resigned from his post on the next day of Ružomberok (Rose Hill) (0-1) .

So the new year hasn’t started great for Notts or us fans a 2-0 loss to Oldham leaves us bottom of league two at the start of the year.
Notts today suffered a double blow today not only did we not win but with Cambridge being demolished 6-0 by promotion chasing mk dons and Macclesfield being held to a 1-1 draw by Tranmere Notts miss the chance to close the gap from three points to one. With Yeovil loosing to Cheltenham 4-1 who sit in twenty first another chance lost.
