      My prediction:

We will be winning 1-0, Noble will come on as sub in the second half and get sent off with ten minutes to go, Showumni will be replaced by Smith to try and preserve the lead, with our backs to the wall FG throw everything at us and we succumb to an injury time goal, two points lost, Twitter goes into meltdown, Noble becomes the new public enemy No.1 thus taking the heat off Collin for a while.

i would hate to lose this game after all they have said about us not being professional.

i cant see noble doing anything and i dont think he should be anywhere near the starting lineup, hes barely earned a place on the bench for me but he could get us moving forward if he performed on the pitch. i think it will be a 2-2 draw and i can see someone like duffy scoring an own goal.

Provided our midfield controls the game I fully expect chances to come.

I don't think the issue recently is down to the finishing, it's how we are performing and working as a team. I think Forest Green should be easier, yet it's down to us about how difficult we make it. I don't want to sound like I am underestimating them, yet I felt they would give us a better game at Meadow Lane and they was very disappointing. I really do believe if we work harder them in the centre of the park chances will come, we just need to avoid over complicating things.

If I predicted the score, I would say it would be close but very winnable.

      My prediction would be 2-1.

    Kev wouldn't would he?

  4. Alan Hardy has tweeted that he’s signed an order for a new PA system to be installed in the close season. I don’t know about anyone else but whilst not the most exciting news it proves the club is going in the right direction on and off the field. Long overdue in my opinion I can never hear a word of what’s said.

  5. Saturdays aren’t the same without a match, normally I’m either watching the game or listening on the radio so when it’s postponed i’m at a loss.

I’ll probably spend the day trying to sort out my computer, I upgraded to a new operating system and ever since I’ve had problems today would be a good day to finally sort it (or make it worse).

What will you be doing on a non match day?

  6. Forest Green L - FGR won 3 of their last 5 games. All 3 wins came at home. Notts' away form speaks for itself

Mansfield D - Typical non win in the derby

Chesterfield D - TV Cameras, away from home, local derby. Of course we won't win

Wycombe W - Don't rate Wycombe at all tbh

Accrington L - Normal against these and especially with them having about 30 penalties in their last 10 games

Coventry D - Big game, big atmosphere, be a good crowd like 2014-15 game at Meadow Lane

Colchester D - Notts away form again

Yeovil W - Yeovil awful side, if we don't beat them I'm worried

Grimsby D - Play them just at the wrong time yet again as no doubt they'll be out of trouble by late April with the Jolley Roger in charge

Luton D - Luton won't be arsed after picking up the title. We won't beat them. Not enough quality

What are you thoughts on this and what results do you think Notts will pick up from now till the end of the season?

  8. I was just reading @Joe Jones‘s article about Jorge Grant and in it he says his celebration of putting his hands to his ears was to block out the haters.

How on earth can a lad who’s scored 18 goals from midfield have haters? If KN had said at the beginning of the season that he was going to sign a midfielder who would score 18 goals before March we would have been over the moon, what is wrong with these people?

  10. Saturday's Fixtures (weather permitting...)

Aston Villa v Queens Park Rangers
    Derby County v Fulham
Milton Keynes Dons v Bristol Rovers
    Shrewsbury Town v Peterborough United
    Cambridge United v Luton Town
    Coventry City v Lincoln City

Any games that are postponed due to the bad weather will be treated as void with no points awarded. And no you won't get anything for predicting p-p ;)

  11. It's not been that long since I last watched 'The Blob' but I find myself wanting to see it again, the other week I also watched 'Slither' which is a fun film. Funnily enough, both films contain cast members from The Walking Dead.

I aim to draw up a list of monster films, I may even watch some of the classic hammer films.

So, I hope PON members can throw me some suggestions but also name movies which they have enjoyed themselves. Let get this discussion going! I think it would be fun.

  12. Over recent weeks I've doubted whether my vlogs are good enough anymore.

I feel like they are repetitive and whilst I tried to add new stuff in, in the Stevenage vlog, I don't think it made a difference

How do you guys feel about them?

  13. Are we all ready for the heavy snow and freezing conditions which is forecast for this week?

It’s snowing here at the moment, I hope we don’t get too much, snow is ok when when you are inside and cosy looking out but if you have to travel it can be a nightmare.

Anyone got any snow yet? Are you looking forward to it or dreading it?

  14. I've gone over my quota of attachments allowed but I don't know how to delete them, I can see the list of attachments in my account but as far as I can see there isn't an option to choose which to delete.

Can anyone help? @Chris ? Anyone?

  15. So we're about to head into March and any hopes of dreams of this winter finally being put to bed have been crushed with the arrival of the "Beast from the East" (curse you Ivan Drago)!

As a nation we're not exactly super-equipped for adverse weather and one of the ways this has manifested itself is with a spate of football games across the country being postponed.

Notts have been alright so far, none of our games have been postponed, but there have been loads called off in Scotland (including some in the Premiership) plus a couple in League One, League Two and non-league.

This has made me think - what's the toughest football winter you recall as a Notts fan?

  16. A little bird tells me it’s @super_ram‘s Birthday today, where is the old bugger? I’ve not seen him on here lately, come out, come out, where ever you are.

Seriously, hope you are well Mr. Ram and have a great day.

  17. My agent has been in negotiations with @Chrisand I have decided to re-sign for PoN on loan.

I haven't been around for a while I have changed my name some of you may remember me as Tony Hateley but it got confusing because people thought I might be the real Tony who is sadly no longer with us. So I have changed to Fan of Big Tone which is also my twitter account name. It's good to see some names on here I recognise from my previous time I hope I am welcome back.

Right, off to see what's changed on here.

  18. Birmingham City v Barnsley
    Sunderland v Middlesbrough
    Northampton Town v Oxford United
    Plymouth Argyle v Bradford City
    Chesterfield v Swindon Town
    Mansfield Town v Coventry City

  19. Alan Hardy has urged fans to "watch this space" when Notts County's season ticket packages come out in around three weeks' time.

Nottingham Forest have just released their prices, prompting Notts fans to get in touch with Hardy on Twitter for his thoughts.

Let's get your thoughts on this - should Hardy look to match or even beat Forest's season ticket deals?

  20. I used to be a cook and, I have worked as a chef (although I was more assisting the main chef in the hotel) - I did technically make and help create the food from scratch.

It's something I enjoy but due to my knees, I can't really do it as much as I'd like and my wife has to assist with things as the pain is often that overbearing that I hate to bend. Yet I do bake when I can, I also love to make pizza's - I've pretty much nailed a in-between version of Pizza Hut and Domino's.

This got me thinking, what does PON members enjoy creating food wise and do you like cooking?

    Discuss below...

  21. Collin 5 Yes, a clean sheet, a well caught cross at game's end, but all positives negated with his inability to distribute, to build attacks.

Tootle 5.5 well protected by The Hawk, defence not under real pressure

Duffy 6 winning headers to help create goal scoring situations

Hall 7 looking like a good player, hopefully we can make an offer to him come the summer. Nice knock down for Shola to score

Dicko 6 His mistake nearly cost us a goal in the early minutes, but did make some good offensive plays, following on from such in the early minutes at Newport

Hewitt 6 all the effort again but missed a great chance from The Hawk's cross

Husin 4.5 Yes, he can play some neat passes but he really needs to man-up to challenges in midfield. Too easily brushed aside

Hawkridge 6.5 Team looks better with his presence. Some good crosses but his defensive work always catches the eye

Alessandra 4 Exactly what does he bring to the table. This should have been a game to show what he can do. Game changer was his replacement by Jorge

Stead 5.5 Disappointing he chose the wrong option at start of 2nd half, a quick lay off to Shola, it could have been 1-0 on 46 minutes

Shola 7 Heavily marked but consistently won 90% or so of his headers. Great reaction to Hall's knock down

    Sub

Grant 6.5 Back to his best, an ability to hit the ball

Smith 5 weakened attack when Shola went off

Notts defended very little within the first half, we just pressed off Stevenage and a better team would have had a field day. I felt sorry for Collin for this reason, the amount of pressure being piled on and the amount of shots he saved it was a joke - he had no protection.

Yes, his distribution at times should have been quicker but every time he did it would only come back to him.

I do feel Ross Fitzsimons should now be given a go and if Ross does well, he should keep the starting place but if not - maybe some can be less harsher on him? Probably not but it seems unfair at times.

Jorge Grant made a difference, he didn't play great but he shown that little bit of class that changes games.

Once we scored we grew in confidence and we started to play better, I felt both teams overall performed very poorly and it wasn't the best match. Yet the result and three points are vital.

No it wasn't a great match but 3 points were very welcome, we need to up our performance against Mansfield though because they are in good form at the moment and will be up for it. I wish the fans wouldn't be so quick to get on Collin's back, I really don't think it will help his game to hear the criticism at the match.

I thought Jorge when he came on looked really back to something like his best, it seemed to give the whole team a lift.

We lacked pace, the defending was awful. The game was screaming out a 0-0 draw but the goal Grant scored completely changed the outcome.

More focus on creating chances and taking responsibility at the back is required. Good win mind.
