Well done Tiernan Brooks on your international call up for the Republic of Ireland U21s! You have been outstanding for Notts County when needed last season and you deserve this recognition. I’m sure you will do us proud in Austria and show everyone what you are capable of.

Well deserved.

I agree @liampie deserves more of a first team opportunity. I've said it for a while now although I do get the need to loan him out for development, which has proven beneficial for him.

Hopefully, we'll see him get more of a look in in the future.

Wishing Tiernan Brooks, all the best on his selection for the Ireland U21 squad. He has been a fantastic goalkeeper for our club and we are proud of his achievements. I wish him all the best as he represents his country on the international stage. Go Tiernan!

I have known in the past that some fans on social media, will be like: 'It's only Ireland' or 'they don't have many keepers'. In fact there's quite a pool of players for the Republic of Ireland.

I think Tiernan Brooks deserves to be given our 2nd spot, with that faith and a bit of a push he can gain the experience required to take him to that stage. There's no point having a young international that won't gain that experience. I hope we feature him a bit more, especially with the 7 subs. It might allow us to manage Sam Slocombe a little bit better with his repetitive hip injury.

Good luck to him, I hope he manages to start.

It’s really good news that Ireland sees Tiernan Brooks’ potential. It gives hope that Notts does too. Good luck to Tiernan Brooks.

It’s always nice to see a young player get called up. I think his future looks promising and if Notts can get him into the first team, all the better.

It’s great to see Tiernan Brooks named in the squad. If Notts starts playing him, he could make it to their main squad within a few years given the experience. This would be huge for both him and Notts.

Gaining experience is vital for Tiernan Brooks, but if Notts doesn’t loan him out or play him themselves, sooner or later he won’t get selected and that would be a huge waste of such promising potential. Good luck in Austria, Tiernan.

I am pleased that Notts has a young international keeper. However, some form of game time is needed. The issue I foresee is when do we give him more time? The club is pushing for League One and they don’t want to risk it. If we get into League One, what changes then? Effectively, Notts hangs back until the young players need releasing.

I am delighted and thrilled for Tiernan Brooks; considering his young age, he must be eager to participate in matches, especially since internationals are a unique opportunity that not all young goalkeepers encounter. I concur with those who believe that if he is skilled enough for Ireland's U21s, he should be prepared to see some action with Notts County.

What are your thoughts on Tiernan, @Dripsey3?

It’s always a positive sign when a young goalkeeper gets called up by an international team. I think Tiernan Brooks made a smart decision by choosing Ireland over England. Hopefully, he can prove himself as a reliable and talented number one and earn a place in the senior squad in the future. I would love to see him do that with Notts, but realistically he will probably move on to a bigger club.

Pleased for Tiernan Brooks, he deserves the call-up and hopefully he does manage to get game time. There’s one thing to loan him out, yet another to give him the time to improve.

It's great to see Tiernan playing for the U21s. I hope he gets game time in League 2 next season.

It's gratifying to witness Tiernan serving as a representative for both Ireland and Notts. As a promising young goalkeeper, he simply requires ample time on the pitch to further develop his skills. His contribution to both teams highlights the importance of nurturing and supporting emerging talent in the world of football.
