Notts County v Leicester

Featured Replies

I'll be there with the usual gang, i.e @super_ram, @Magic magpie, @super_pie and his friend.

Notts need to approach the game better than they did against Derby, focus on defending and passing the ball must be better. I don't expect Notts to win, nor do I think they should out perform a Premier League club. I do want to see them try to cause trouble, make a considerable amount of effort and give something to the fans that have paid to see them play some form of entertainment.

We have to be much better in the centre of the park and at the back, simple.

Based on Derby, I'm going for 7-0. If Notts play like I know they can do, I will say 3-1.

A field where dreams become reality.

I shall be there. Looking forward to it, to see some Leicester talent and see how we approach the game. Its alright saying its a good run around for the lads but that is not what pre season is just about. It's about practising set pieces, tactics, learning how to exploit weaknesses quickly and adapt. Like Chris said if its anything like the Derby game I think it will end up 7-0 but if we give it some fight and most of the squad are fit then ill go 4-4 draw.

i was looking forward to it despite the derby performance, but i might not be able to make it now. think notts should take the friendly more seriously, if they dont pass or even try i think it would be sad.

You coming to the Leicester game mate be nice to catch up mate

Does anyone know why Notts have not put out any highlights? I have been hoping to see the squad.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

I think a loss should be expected but it's how Notts play is the key thing.

Another performance like they did against Notts and fans will quite rightly point it out. I think it will be 4-2 to the Foxes.

Friendlies are more about fitness and seeing what weaknesses squads have, but the Derby performance in the first half was a shambles. I'm hoping Kevin Nolan has the team set up properly and instructs them to do their best.

Everyone looked forward to the friendlies but I fear Saturday if Notts don't try.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

I don't see Notts winning for starters.

Scoring once and having a few efforts on target would be nice, there's no way the club will outplay Leicester but we should at least match 65% of their work rate.

I think Notts will perform better, I can't see Nolan allowing anything less.

I'm going for an optimistic 2-2 but only the fitness/performance matters, the score means nothing.

A much bigger performance would be nice, I'm not hoping for miracles but a few signs that we have a capable keeper. A set of players that can defend, not just one and the ability to pass would be nice.

I think the score will be 5-2 to them.

i hope the players try to have fun and stay switched on, leicester will be a good test but a full strength squad could be hard to see notts doing anything. i know its a friendly but you dont want to watch them fail to defend for 45 mins.

I see Kristian Dennis is supposed to be match fit for the Leicester game, could he make a difference?

If he plays it should give Notts some more grip up top, Stead struggled against Derby at times.

@liampie Exactly!

Fans don't want to pay to see a team give nothing, some can say it was to see how we did but why not adjust during the game? I am looking forward to the friendly but if some think we are moaning, wait until the game. It's far more vocal than this.. :(

Of course we can’t be expected to win & that’s fair enough but please let’s not get humiliated as we did in the first half last week.

Yes, we all know pre seasons are irrelevant as an indicator of possible league form but I do expect a performance. After all we don’t get in free and we don’t go to watch an opposition exhibition match.

Don't mean to be rude, but has anyone else noticed that Tootle looks a bit fat

I thought the same thing today when I saw Richard Duffy, not that it held him back.

Today's performance was much better, more passion and Notts did extremely well until Leicester equalised. After that the progress was slower, but much better all round.

notts passed the ball well at times and looked very bright, it was only a matter of time until they scored but i really dont fancy pindroch at all. i just dont think hes ready, notts would have looked much better on paper without him,

i thought everyone else played quite well, even fitzsimons did well.

Much better performance today but our defence needs sorting fast. I know one needs patience with new players blending into the team but I cannot accept the lapse marking that our established "defence" showed today.
