What are the main key fixtures during the 2018-19 season for you?

Featured Replies

The few comments which mention the release of the fixtures seemed quite happy with the games, I'm curious to know which fixtures PON members feel are the key games for any potential promotion push this upcoming season.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

Yeah, I would say the first 10 games but also the period just after the new year can be massive. Teams usually gain form there or slip up, so Notts has a great opening run whereby they could get off to a flying start.

A field where dreams become reality.

The final 5 games have the potential to be massive games.

If Notts haven't secured an automatic position or even the league, playing Northampton, Crewe, MK Dons, Grimsby and Swindon could be games where the club will need to put on performances to ensure a good finish. I am assuming we are in a shout for promotion here, you never know but the final games looks to be tricky point.

So upset im missing two of the biggest games of the year due to work commitments. Lincoln (A) and Mansfield (H). So i will deffo be doing Mansfield (A). Fixtures im most looking forward too are Mansfield (A), MK Dons (H), MK Dons (A), Tranmere (A) and probs Macclesfield (A).

All the local derbies will be key, as will the bigger games against the likes of MK Dons, Swindon Town, Oldham Athletic etc.

Notts getting off to a flying start would be a positive thing too.

All of the games will be key for promotion but its the big games and the local derbies which Notts tend to struggle in.

Colchester and Cambridge, the first two fixtures. Get off to a good start

Then the home and away fixtures with MK, Lincoln and Mansfield

Getting off to a good start is vital, we had a brilliant start last season after the Coventry game and after we all know what happened there.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

The run at the start could push the club up and boost the camps morale, I would have thought Nolan saw Colchester as a winnable game.
