Notts will rise again!

At last the takeover is sorted and a new era can begin! This week I've gone from being optimistic, to utter despair and a real fear that there would be no Notts next season, to this unexpected twist. We don't know the full story of it yet, but I suspect that AH was playing a game of brinkmanship to get the highest price possible, with our club's future and people's livelihoods on the line. I don't think it's a coincidence that this "cut-price deal" came the very day after the Haydn Green estate announced they were considering forcing the club into administration...

But now we can move on. That means paying the bills and wages, signing a stack of players and hoping that Ardley and Cox can form them into a team. I don't know about you lot but I'm on a high right now and I'm hoping that the players can take that and a new sense of togetherness into the season. But if it's a bumpy ride we need to keep the faith, as this summer has hardly been ideal for preparing for a new league. As for the new owners, I hope they're patient, competent´and knowledgeable (oh, and stinking rich). They've chosen to announce the takeover through the official channel rather than giving a blow-by-blow account on Twitter, so that's a nice change already.

I'd be happy if we can stabilise on and off the pitch this season first of all. Ultimately I'm delighted that Notts County will still be taking to the Meadow Lane pitch next season after the last few months. But maybe there's more in it too. Let's pull together and see what's possible. Bring on the new season!

Hear, Hear!

I have to say I'm relieved but shocked how the announcement came out of nowhere. I think over the coming days and weeks we'll find out more about our new owners, at first it was reported the Danish Consortium was made up from 4 people, two being the Reedtz bothers so I wonder if there's others involved.

As for the Reedtz brothers themselves, they've made a living combining football and business so it'll be interesting to see how they handle the transition. To provide information for betting companies means they go really in depth into analysing football - it all sounds rather promising! In terms of scouting we've potentially just hit the jackpot, I don't know how far down the English leagues they go, maybe they'll expand into the NL for a season or two...

Here's a little video about the Reedtz brothers company Football Radar. Watching football for a living, where are those offices in England based again?!?

I'm delighted, a lot of fans have stressed over the clubs state and the lack of communication has only added to it.

I would have loved the South African consortium, as what news was released they sounded like they had a good idea of what to do. We know little about the Danish duo, however, I have stated that their main company could give Notts a bit of an edge. It's quite forward thinking, and the past two analysts the club has had have been very poor in my opinion. I think Kevin Nolan got rid of the last one, as he wasn't in favour of them and he was actually quite old fashioned in terms of management.

The fact they work in understanding how to successful gives me hope, they need to balance expectations but encourage fans to get behind the club.

I don't want to read of a 5-year-plan, yet a proper structure and foundation could be the base of any success. I suppose we just have to see how things go, hopefully there won't be any sort of honeymoon period like we had with Alan Hardy's reign.

Glad its all over and alan hardy can go and i dont think any fan wants to see him ever again after all his lies.

I cried when i heard, i was really thinking the end of our beloved Notts County was imminent. So pleased its all done. My mum and i are going to the Lane tomorrow to order our season tickets. COYP.

After all the hassle that Alan Hardy presented the club, all his floors and Twitter mistakes. He won't be forgotten for awhile and I suspect he will have to keep his head low for some time.

I am thankful the takeover has been completed.

I felt for a period it looked like the Danes would walk away from the deal, that aspect looked quite bleak. With them and the support of Juventus I feel the club can move forward. Let's make Notts great again!

hopefully we can sign the players to add the depth and quality the club needs, maybe reevaluate things in january when the transfer window re-opens. i think notts will do well under the new ownership.

they seem to have their heads screwed on and appear to be very humble.

so far they have said all the right things, i hope some fans on twitter give them time to adjust to being owners before jumping in with complaints.

We will rise again .. we have proved in the past that you can’t keep the magpies downs. Now with new owners who don’t crave the spot light it will firmly be on the players and what they do on the pitch and hopefully the path to back to league football is on the way. With not long left with the transfer window being open hopefully we can sign the right players. This season with morale lifted and love beck at Notts this should be a good season let’s hope the lads pick on it and play for us.

Focus on the squad and building of the team.

Neal Ardley has outlined the areas and weaknesses he believes the club has, I agree with him, Notts needs to be more physical.

Do we know if these chaps have any money? They obviously have enough money to keep the lights on for 2019-20, but I've seen no evidence they have real money to invest. I am so glad Notts is safe, but I doubt Football Radar has been keeping much data on National League players.

I think a change of name for the OP would not go amiss, how about DanishSausage ????

Notts will grow and improve, just need to work hard and stay dedicated to making the club a success.

The new owners can breathe some fresh life into the club, I would hope they can pick up from the good things AH introduced such as the attendances.

It would be a good idea if the club issued a few more "bring a friend" tick

They have stuck by what they said so far.

The Danish owners need to make sure Neal Ardley gets two outright strikers signed before the deadline, does the National League have a deadline?

I don't want the club to sign any Tom, Dick or Harry.

It's quality that is needed and a proven goal scorer.

It will take time, this season will be about consolidating and re-building to push for promotion next season. It won't happen in this campaign.

We may not be playing well yet but at least bills and staff are being paid.

A few wins, confidence could lift and anything is better than last season. I have the believe if we handle this season right, Notts will be a football league again in the near future. I'm not saying next season but in a few, I don't see why not.
