Ray has confirmed we are in talks with him, right back came threw arsenal youth ranks but played most of his career at Middlesbrough thoughts?

30 isn't a bad age at all, as a right back we should at least get 2-4 years out of him and afterwards it really depends.

Justin Hoyte is a good player, he came through the Arsenal academy when they had a tone of brilliant prospects. Literally the youth team and reserves was full of gems and most of which made the grade at Premiership or Championship level.

If we did sign him, I would be very pleased because I know what he could bring to our club.

What we need is an older player like Hoyte with a young gun pushing him for the place.

The one thing that does concern me over the recent signings is the ages seem to be creeping up again. I hope we can get a few mid 20s players to spread the experience across the squad and not rely on the older players again.

I'd love him to sign personally. It means we have a fast and solid full back who most importantly has years of experience in English football. Also this could mean that Amevor would play in the centre if defence therefore likely pushing Hollis (who far from suits moniz's requirements) out the team!

What a sign this would be if we could pull off the signing of Justin Hoyte.

He's a class above this league without a shadow of a doubt, only question is why at Millwall did his chances remain limited? I do not know if this is because of injury or whatever but I just hope its not nothing to be concerned about. He should be a great assist within league two! please sign him up.

it would keep the squad mixed and balanced in the right way, at least for me. we need people of this experience to help and i would be deligthed to see justin hoyte arrive at notts.

i just hope this does not tip off other clubs like it as happened in the past.

@Super_Danny_Allsopp I believe it is due to an injury, I seem to recall that being way he ended up released the last time. He seemed to settle with Millwall, yet it could be a case of injury and then being out of favour.

I wouldn't worry about it. I am sure he would be roaring to go within League Two and it may help him.

Exactly what @wroughty said!

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Justin Hoyte? Why are we being linked with so many interesting names now that we have been relegated to the basement division of english professional football?

The majority of rumours would have helped us avoid relegation last season. Sigh* This would be a very decent signing, usually I would say I do not see it happening but this is one of those weird seasons where anything seems likely to happen.

Sol Campbell to return?

At least he hasn't been from pillar to pillar, he has settled with clubs and done well. I would not worry remotely about why Millwall did not play him, he would still attract higher interest I am sure.

Good addition potentially IMO.

How did he play? Does anyone know? I've heard a lot of negatives about this game, especially about Lima or whatever his name is.

I wasn't overwhelmed by him but he seemed to lack fitness (explains playing 90 mins) but was involved in the goals.

I'm sure we'll see better from him though, the tougher opposition will tell if he's any good or not. Fingers crossed for this guy

You Pies!

I am hearing wicked whispers that hoyte is due to sign tomorrow, supposedly we have another signing midweek due.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

Guessing that other one could be Atkinson, then that would be the right back position sorted if these 2 are due to sign this week

Well this is the only player rumoured to be talks with Notts at the moment right?
