Featured Replies

It seems that Notts county are in line to receive a parachute payment Of £500,000 after relegation and another £250,000 next summer.

That should hopefully help us surly.?

I'm surprised there is a parachute payment.

There was a person on Twitter who mentioned this, he compared it to a Premier League players weekly wage. It's quite silly, no wonder the modern game is all messed up. The Football League tries to ruin it for fans, clubs are biased and have favourites. It's all messed up.

A field where dreams become reality.

The parachute payment is only because EFL television monies share will not be available. Net cost to Notts about 500k I believe

Its a decent payout, one I did not expect.

I hope the money comes as the season kicks off and to new owners.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

I am extremely disheartened with the failure to understand the financial consequences. This is not "new" money, Notts received £1m as part of the TV deal monies as part of being a member of the EFL. That money is immediately LOST, in its place, just for one season, is a parachute payment of 500k.... so Notts have LOST net £500k income... I would imagine the parachute payment is paid monthly in instalments.

It's £250,000 for two years @Piethagoram, that makes up the £500,000.

The club will get a lower amount for the Vanarama National League coverage, so some will come back but if we go based solely on the EFL it's £750,000 loss and another if Notts fails to gain promotion thereafter.

We can feel disappointed about being relegated, there was time to turn things around and the loss of income stems down to the lack of application.

This £500,000 split over two years seems more than generous.

Better with it than without.

No need to complain about it, it is what it is.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
