So Argentina won’t be lifting the World Cup after a humbling 4-3 loss to France. Are you shocked about that or was that what you was expecting it.?
So today myself @Chris and @super_ram and @super_pie got our tickets for the friendly at Meadow Lane anybody got there tickets yet. If so maybe do a Pon meet before or after the game.
Rumoured to be signing for Lincoln in next few days. Might be a bum steer, but if he goes there, then they are looking a little more solid now! Good signing for whoever gets him.
Fee agreed with unnamed club. Just needs personal terms and medical to be completed. Would have been a good one for Notts, but can’t see it with Dennis and Hemmings as well up front.

There's plenty of players who have become icons at Notts or, have enjoyed a successful loan spell etc.
I'm curious if any other PON members keep tracks on former players? Weather they be youths, ex pros, loans etc - I would like to know who and why.

Notts County strength and conditioning coach Mike Edwards is leaving the club.
‘Eddy’ enjoyed two spells with the Magpies, racking up well over 300 appearances and forming an important part of the backroom staff in recent seasons.
And the former Magpies captain, who was part of Steve Cotterill’s side that lifted the League Two title in 2009-10 and went on to enjoy a testimonial year, paid tribute to the supporters for their backing throughout his career at Meadow Lane.
“This place will always have a special place in my heart and the supporters are one of the main reasons for that,” he said.
“I’ve got too many special memories to mention but I have absolutely loved my time at Meadow Lane.
“The time has come for me to move on but I wish the gaffer, the lads and everyone connected with the club all the best for the upcoming season.”
Notts owner and chairman Alan Hardy added: “Mike is a legendary figure in these parts and we are very sorry to see him go.
“He has represented the club with consummate professionalism both as a player and staff member and leaves with everyone’s utmost respect.
“Mike will always be welcome at the Lane and I wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.”

I missed most of this past season, I know the main just but I am keen to get some updates from fans who witnessed the campaign themselves.
If you would, I’d like you give me your quick review of last season from start to finish.
Which players stood out?
How did the three points of the season go down? (Start, middle, ending)
Are you overall pleased?
Also, how can Kevin Nolan improve this upcoming term?

Peterborough made their ninth signing yesterday adding Sirike Dembele from Grimsby to their squad. It was for an undisclosed fee but I imagine it to be around 100k. It seems like Peterborough have only been signing League Two players this window, but they have a habit of turning them into gold dust that are quickly swept up by higher clubs.
The owner also expressed his interest on twitter regarding Jorge Grant and fans have been rumouring a potential swap + cash deal for Jack Marriott.
Should we have paid more attention to players like Dembele? All I can say is thank the lord we did not pay 100k for Noble. Also does this make the winger Danny Lloyd (Lloyd McGoldrick) available with the arrival of Dembele?

We all love a good bit of Twitter beef don't we? Well, our very own Alan Hardy has locked horns with none other than legendary England striker, crisp-bothered and pitch-soiler Gary Lineker himself on Twitter.
It all started because of a naughty word said by the BBC MOTD man.
What with all the replies and follow-ons and everything, it will requite some sifting through, but it's all on here... mostly good natured luckily (or unluckily, if you fancied seeing these two having a scrap in the ML parking lot!)

Alan Hardy was asked about Mason Bennett and he did say that he still could return to thenlane for another loan spell maybe more. “Frank has not spoken to Mason since being the new manager” Alan quoted and that Darren Fletcher was a close friend to Frank Lampard and if anything could happen Alan and Darren would ensure it will.? Thoughts guys

Tonight England wrap up their Group G campaign at the 2018 World Cup with a clash against Belgium in Kaliningrad.
There was some anxiety beforehand about if England had to get a result to qualify against one of the most star-studded teams of the tournament, but with both sides having won both their group games so far, the pressure is very much off.
Indeed, there is now a very weird scenario in which the losing team will arguably benefit more, as they will end up in the easier of the two knockout routes, and with Group H being so weak, it's not like facing the winner of that group will be an especially taxing prospect.
So let's get your thoughts - how/where are you following the game? Who would you like Gareth Southgate to pick for his starting XI? Should England opt for a weakened team and perhaps even seek not to win (although that's very contentious ground and would lead to the team being pilloried by the press and potentially get in trouble with the FIFA overlords), or should victory always be sought?
