Afternoon guys,
I'm focusing my research project on ticket prices in English football and to see how commercialisation of English football affects supporters in attending live football matches.
May interest you that the Premier League (95%) has a higher attendance utilisation than Germany (90%).
Please could you take 5 minutes to complete this short survey. It's multiple choice so no brain power needed.ย
Considering the impact of ticket pricing strategies on fan engagement in English football clubs.
I'm more than happy to respond to any questions about the survey or the project.ย
Cheers in advance.

Hearing Omar Bogle (forgive spelling if incorrect) being mentioned a lot around social media today. So,e even claiming that the deal is already done and we are paying a fee for him.
If, and it is always a big If in these conversations, it comes true, then well done Notts. Every time Iโve seen him play he looked a class above anyone on the field and was a serious handful in the air and on the ground. He ripped us to shreds last year at Cleethorpes! Obviously the big money move didnโt work for him, but may work to our advantage as he looks to rebuild a reputation?
I know he was on his way to us in the Jan window, but was sent out to a higher division against his will from what I heard so might still have positive vibes with Notts.

I would be very happy to see Grant sign for us on a permanent deal if one could be reached. He clearly is a talented player and has the skill to be successful and I think would be a great addition to the notts County team.

I spent all evening yesterday trying to buy an online ticket for the match on Friday without success and gave up at 11.30pm, Iย finally succeeded this morning at 6.30 am, it seems Notts fans arenโt early risers.ย
Got a great seat on the half way line near the dugout canโt wait for the match, come on you pies.ย

Being utterly optimistic...
What are peoples plans for getting to Wembley for the play off finals?
Long time since we've been and last time I'm sure I went in the back of a bloody transit van with loads of mates. Think I'm past that stage now I'm a little !!!! older now and would prefer a comfy seat! lol

From Sky Sports:
We calculated how much each club in England has improved or declined since last season by measuring the difference in points - excluding teams that were promoted or relegated last term.
Based on those metrics, Premier League-bound Wolves are the most-improved club with their 99 points being 70.7 per cent more than their 58 last season.
Skip forward a bit...
Notts County (+37.5 per cent), Newport County (+33.3 per cent), Bristol City (+24.1 per cent), Wycombe (+21.7 per cent), Charlton (+18.3 per cent) and Manchester United (+17.8 per cent) are also among the most-improved teams.
And here is the table:

Iโve been watching a few crucial relegation and promotion battles on telly and I noticed that the cameraman always focuses on people who are biting their nails nervously, so if you want to get on the telly get yer hand to yer mouth and look nervous, then as soon as the camera points at you hold up a notice saying โhello mumโ.ย

Though to be fair, it would have been incredibly brave to bet on Allardyce or Moyes still being in charge of their respective clubs next season!
Allardyce and Moyes relieved ofย duties at Everton and West Ham.

If the useless FA want to eradicate violence then those incidents last night ie the stamp on Duffy and the kick on Forte should leave both players banned for months not weeks.
Unless the punishment is severe enough then this type of behaviour will carry on regardless.
I suspect though that as always the FA will do nothing.

Hi guys, I'm an Italian Juventus fan living in Manchester and I am travelling to Nottingham to watch playoff semifinal...
Anyone here to get a pint before the match? Which is the best pub to meet supporters before Meadow Lane??
Thank you for your help!

After last Saturdays Game and the action of Coventryโs Tom Davies he should have been sent off .. but the ref did nothing about it and now the fa have stepped in and issued a ban. I think the refย should beย reprimanded as well cause he allowed it to happen and didnโt do his job properly. I think he should be given further training cause if that ref costs notts County there place at Wembley I will be very unhappy any one else.

Commiserations to my old mate @super_ramย I watched the game last night, felt sorry for the Derby fans, especially the youngsters who made the journey us oldies have seen it all before but itโs upsetting for the kids. I did think that Fulham deserved to win the game on the night though they were the better team.

Based on mean of 5
Collin 5 Again well protected, but with a few heart stopping moments, like "It's not my job guv" when remonstrating with Duffy.Still not willing to dominate his area, especially for corners.
Tootle 7.5 We look far more comfortable and balanced as a team with Toots back. Ludicrous penalty decision against him
Duffy 6 Ankle stamped on which the inept referee missed. Obligatory throwing himself to the ground and not getting anything aside, was strong when needed
Brisley 6.5 Important interventions in the first 15 minutes to keep Coventry at bay.
Jones 7.5 Powerful running in the boggy conditions... the set up for the goal was superb, a bone crunching tackle won, looked up and delivered the perfect ball in for Forte
Hewitt 6 Defensive performance but littered with over hit passes as well.
Noble 5 First half especially, always seemed second best forย the second ball.. Tightened up in the second half
Virtue 3.5 More for Liverpool's benefit... didn't have the "engine" in difficult conditions and was being carried by the team
Grant 5 A few glimpses of class but again was rather lightweight. Needs to hit the target with his shots, too many shots missing in recent games
Stead 5.5 Battled well but isnt a target man. Was well marshalled by Coventry's defence
Forte 7.5 Movement with thought, great finish but could have scored a second minutes later.

Trump has pulled out of the Iranian nuclear treaty tonight and in my book, brings the whole of the region one step closer to chaos.
USA and UK foreign policy in the Middle East has been controversial at best and terrible at worst, but at least the treaty held some sembelence of balance for the region.
If Iran decides to start its reactors again then the whole world we be regretting it and Israel will go into another unneeded war.

Would you welcome him back next season as Nolan would like to?
IMO he made a good impact in the short time he was available, but the injury issues before he signed was a problem. The latest is just a long line of them unfortunately. If he had have stayed fit, would we have been automatic by now?

Months ago I arranged a camping meet with around 40 friends, it just so happened to be this weekend which is annoying, I never thought Notts would be in the playoffs when I booked the meet but quite by chance one of my friends is a Coventry fan so we are off to the local pub together to watch the match on Sky Sports in the pub.
Should be interesting.

As the title says, what teams do you think have overachieved and underachieved this season
Overachieved - Accrington and Wycombe come to mind but they have built their teams over the last few years and this season, they both finally got there. Newport definitely with their budget. Crawley as well, as they have had a manager, a season since returning to League Two and they couldn't score goals at all in the early months of the season
Underachieved - Mansfield without doubt. One of the biggest budgets in the league and failed to make play-offs. Swindon also for the same reasons. Stevenage had one of the best strike partnerships in the league with Godden and Newton but only finished 16th. Forest Green promised a lot and only just stayed up
