Dijkstra (50) played as a pupil for only a year at SAB. At the age of seven he took part in a test training at NAC, with Jo Jansen to be precise, and he was allowed to stay. After completing the entire youth academy, he played for six months in the second, after which he made his debut in the main power at the age of eighteen. After coach Leen Looijen did not like it, Dijkstra moved to arch rival Willem II, where he played in the Eredivisie for five seasons. Dijkstra about that period: "Beautiful, five year Eredivisie, but I would have preferred to play in NAC 1 for those years, of course I am a real NAC boy."
England
Via Willem II he ended up in England, where he played for two years in Division One for Notts County. To England, Dijkstra keeps his most cherished football memory: "There was a competition between British teams from Division One and Italian from the Serie B. The Anglo Italian Cup, we made the final on Wembley, Brescia was the opponent and I stood against none other than Gheorghe. Hagi. " His position as a pro: left back, of the unscrupulous kind, but hard to tell, sometimes about the wrote, the type Hugo Hovenkamp say. "Yes, I also picked up a ticket," laughs Dijkstra.
He gained experience in the trainer's training as an assistant to his NAC-friend Peter Remie at JEKA and Unitas '30 and until recently at Achilles Veen. At SAB, another NAC veteran is now his assistant, Ton van Eennaam. Van Dijk was instructed by SAB to maintain itself. "Anyway, I am something else," he says. "When I see that there is more to it, then of course we go for it, but I have to be honest, I do not know the power relations in the fourth class yet enough to be able to estimate where we are at the moment."
Dijkstra continues: "It is not going exactly the way it should be, but we are working on a process: when the boys learn to play their duties and carry out the assignments, things are going in the right direction. I am an 'apple-eel', can still be abracadabra for a boy who comes from the youth, for the moment I am absolutely satisfied with the group's attitude, they are eager to learn and ambitious, and you can also see that on the training attendance. "

Part of me really hopes these both come back on loan. To see a league two side with Dennis, Hemmings, Bennet and Grant in would just script promotion in my eyes and to be totally honest Grant could do a job in CM as well as LM. Bennett would be a perfect fit in a 4-3-3 or a partner for Hemmings or Dennis in a 4-4-2. Thoughts?

So akinfenwa got promoted with Wycombe but many people think he is a league 2 player. If he became free would you be happy if the beast came to Meadow Lane.

Training for half marathon Roosendaal: 'The knowledge of the body lays the foundation'
Marcel Cas was electrician, professional footballer, recovery trainer at Feyenoord and is now a personal trainer that makes people run faster in the Roversrun and Half Marathon of Roosendaal.
As a footballer at RBC, Notts County and FC Den Bosch, Marcel Cas (45) was mainly a trotter, he admits equitably. ,, I liked to walk. Also outside the field. "Cas still looks like the prototype of the fit, not to be broken athlete.
However, under his skin, the insidious danger of a hernia lurks. ,, That is also the reason that I have become interested in the human body. Mine is to hell, but I just want to continue exercising. The only way to achieve that is to train in the right way. By doing my exercises faithfully every day, I stay fit. "
Patchwork
The Cas born and raised in Breda came from school as an electrician. ,, I also worked as a electrician for a while. "In combination with the training at RBC, that is.
When the first injuries came, Cas was already interested in the lay-out work of physiotherapists and sports masseurs. ,, Because of that hernia I really started working on it. I went to study. First sports massage, taping, rehabilitation techniques, physiotherapy; until I got to work at Axis. From there I went to RKC. "
Recovery trainer
Cas stood out with Leo Beenhakker. He got him to Feyenoord, to work there as a recovery trainer. ,, They wanted someone there who knew what it was to be a professional footballer. "
Since April of this year, Cas has been working at Dynamico, which among other things monitors the fitness of the players of NAC. Last week he went to work with Chiro Ntoko. The defender turned out to be quite sensitive to injury in recent years. Typically a job for Cas to get and keep such a player fit.
Injury-free
"I do not care if I work with top athletes or recreationists," he says about his work as a personal trainer, whether he is working with ladies who want to lose weight right away, with amateur athletes or pros, are the starting point. is always the same: ,, You strive for perfection, but the most important thing is that someone remains injury-free. "
He himself claims to be the best proof of the effectiveness of his approach. "In England I trained my body so well, that I have not been injured once." He also learned that too much training can be disastrous. "In the Netherlands this happens quite often. because they play more, if you play you are more focused and the chance of injuries is smaller. "
According to him, holidaymakers should be more careful with what they do. "Improving is in people," says Cas. "The biggest mistake that is made with this is a lack of knowledge, whether it's about walking faster, wanting to walk longer, getting stronger or losing weight."
Responsible
He establishes that people increasingly use a personal trainer to ensure that this process runs responsibly.
In that respect, the work of an electrician and a personal trainer ultimately does not differ greatly: "I notice that our work has become much more accessible. People who want to achieve a goal are now prepared to pay for it. Of course they also have to be prepared to train twice a week. To be consequent. Otherwise it does not make sense. "

Being a young supporter, I have only seen a few good seasons and the best time was during the 2009/2010 campaign when Munto lead us on the amazing but disappointing dream of making it to the Premier League.
In college today, I have been assigned to write about the "history and heritage" of Nottingham.
It got me wondering about Notts, a part from the 2009/2010 season and the 150th year, Notts hardly market anything to do with our history or heritage. I mean we are the oldest professional football league club, yet there's very little highlighted about this. Does anyone else feel the club should do more about this?

I'm curious how PON members approach buying a new phone, now this can include a contract (as you do pay for the handset technically via your monthly fees).
Do you look for a bargain? Prefer specs? Does it have to be stylish or a big name?
Does the colour, size or OS play a part in your decision? I know some IOS users are now moving over to Android due to the way Apple only moderately change specs and have also fallen behind in the innovation department. Others feel like Android is becoming more like IOS, rather than adding their own new features.
Let me know below...

"I believe we can win it - anyone can. I cannot sit here and say we are not going to win it because we could do.
It is my mindset and I want to win at everything I do. The players in the team want to as well. It is worth fighting for. I am sure we have all had dreams of lifting it and it is an opportunity for us."
why has southgate made him the captain too? i hope his words match the effort on the pitch.
