The club are giving fans an opportunity to give their thoughts on the (in my opinion) scandalous proposals for re-structuring the Football League. Β I would urge all Notts fans (whatever your views) to spend 5 minutes on this survey giving your thoughts. The Greed League don't give a **** about clubs like ours, and some of their plans are very disturbing. It's no good whining once it's happened, so let them know what you think NOW.

With England playing Malta, just wondered Β how Dan Bogdanovic career went post Notts. A little research yielded 2 other players signed by Curle at the same time, that I have forgotten.Β

"He's a young man who I think is going to have a career," Curle said.

"He has good ability, good talent, but not been given his debut at Wolves yet, probably because of the heady heights of the Premier League. "...they dont come bigger now than Walsall Wood :DΒ Seriously though, it's a shame the dream appears to haveΒ ended

Nico has done well at Brentford but injuries seem to have disrupted his time there

Hopefully this holds no impact on our form, yet I can't help but feel it is poor to go 1-0 up and then to allow the team you was beating to take the lead 2-1.

Are we out of this abysmal cup yet?

I don't think so. I don't know what the format is. I'd imagine it's 2 to go through?

As it's a group we aren't out as yet , a win away at Sunderland would see notts through , don't think personally it will have any impact on our league form , bring on Mansfield Saturday , hope we are bang up for it , I'm sure we will be , and let's hope for a better result than last season , COYPΒ

Pity to miss out on 10k win bonus that victory at Rochdale. Listening to Uncle Colin and Stall, the latter said at half time Burke was anonymous... ( how many times in Burke's Notts career have I heard that).

Campbell again cannot score despite his work rate. I would not be surprised if JF makes some tough decisions as early as January.

With Notts County's game against Morecambe yesterday being called off after 10 minutes because of torrential rain, supporters will obviously want to know what happens next.

The club have communicated this:

Notts County have confirmed ticketing arrangements following this afternoon's abandoned match against Morecambe.

The Sky Bet League Two fixture was called off after 10 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch.

Both clubs will discuss a new date for the match on Monday, the outcome of which will be communicated at the earliest opportunity.

Supporters who purchased a ticket for the game and would like to attend the rearranged fixture must retain their ticket, which will act as a voucher entitling them to entry. Season ticket holders’ cards will be valid for the rearranged match.

No refunds will be issued until a new date has been confirmed. Once a date is set, Notts supporters who require a refund should contact the Meadow Lane ticket office. Morecambe supporters who bought in advance or at the turnstiles must contact their club to arrange a refund.

Notts chief executive Jason Turner said: β€œToday’s abandonment was hugely disappointing but, after discussions with both managers and the match officials, the correct decision was reached.

β€œI would like to thank supporters for their cooperation. We will keep everyone updated of any developments.”

Hospitality guests will be contacted separately.

Lifeline results will be publicised on Monday as normal, while the 50-50 draw will be rolled over to the next home match.

Hope this helps, and we'll cascade any announcements the club makes regarding a new date.

Has things improved off the field/media wise? and more.

The club has just released this sad news. RIP to a genuine Notts legend.

As the wgs survey brought up the choice or having or not having midweek fixtures i just wondered what people thoughts are on these?

For me there a staple of what football is all about, especially midweek winter games, you can't feel your feet or hands by the time the game kicks off, shivering you sit there waiting with more than normal expectation of watching your team put on a display that will go down in time as "one of those you needed to be at", maybe its the lights, maybe its the temperature orΒ maybe the half time food and drink that when you take your first mouthfull burns but you persist as you desperatly want the warmth, who knows?

For me they epitomise what supportingΒ Β football is all about

I went last night. Great atmosphere, decent game with LCFC just edging it although and extra 10 minutes would have seen a Porto equaliser I think. The thing I notice about Leicester everytime I go is that they work incredibly hard for each other and the crowd are (at least for now) very forgiving of mistakes by their team. The Meadow Lane crowd could learn from this. I think this helps Leicester play with no fear of failure.

Well then!Β

Β

I'm quite pleased to see us in the position we're in. I know 10 games ain't much, but gives you an Idea as to where we might need to improve and general feel for the Season ahead

Have we found out new syste?Β of course it'll have to change now and again. but carry on like we are and i can see it being a fairly good Season.Β

Β

What's your thoughts after games?Β

As the title says, which league do you think Notts should be in?

League One pushing for the Championship is my answer.

As part of my dissertation, I am researching the influence football support has on a supporter's relationship with, or feeling of, place and community.Β  I attend The University of Nottingham, and spend much time in and around Nottingham, so am interested in finding out how football support has shaped the way in which local residents feel about the city.

Because of this, I've created a questionnaire, with a link below, which will take less than five minutes to complete, and is completely anonymous.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdor1GJh0ffND5NVai1aS1b0nKBJxtmqJweVRxStefgPIIgdQ/viewform

Thank you in advance; any help with this research is much appreciated.

There was a time when Notts looked to be forging connections with teams that wanted to get their own youngsters some football league experience, I recall when we signed Connor Clifford and although he didn't do a great deal (I don't believe he was pushed as much as he could have been).

I just finished reading a post by @Piethagoram and it got me thinking.

Notts seems to do well with upcoming youngsters who have the right attitude when it comes getting experience.

Callum McGregor, Jack Grealish and now Aaron Collins.

I can only think getting youngsters who have a considerable amount of potential but are getting lost with their respective clubs, could be a major benefit for us - I felt the same when we seemed to be working with out neighbours but some of those players didn't seem to have the right attitude. Yet surely, this would be a good thing for own players that coming through the academy?

I'm not suggesting we should forget about our own but the odd youngster in on loan, mixed with our own and experienced players could be a way forward for Notts.

I really don't get why we don't try to forge a relationship with Leicester City and other clubs who have promising talent. Walsall, Rotherham, Hartlepool and even Swindon have done well within this area when it comes to 'good' young loans.

...to have been at a European Cup/Champions League game at Derby, F-word and Leicester. Only Notts and Mansfield left to complete the set!!

Unless Parliament protects football in this country, Β the paymasters of the Premier League now seem to dictate to the FA and now towards the EFL, the financial screws for their own end benefit. I am fearful of the Premier League getting the full percentage foreign ownership to vote through no relegation at some point. Imperative that Notts mount a promotion challenge this season.

Pity it's taken so long since the last SLO at Notts. Whilst I commend such actions, more focus needs to be made expanding Notts support

https://www.theguardian.com/football/the-set-pieces-blog/2016/sep/29/football-manager-2017-sport-plymouth-argyle?CMP=fb_gu

This is a good article. It maybe a case asking supporters to submit their own player analysis ( sometimes as a supporter, you recognise talents in opposition teams and wonder why Notts havent signed them..like Bogle). I am still unsure whether our scouting information is good enough

Β

Our former manager seems to have been caught telling "businessmen" (in reality undercover reporters) how to circumvent rules on third-party ownership of players and using his status as England manager to enrich himself to the tune of 400k a year:

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/sep/26/sam-allardyce-fa-newspaper-sting-england-manager

Oh dear. England managers have been sacked for less.
