  1. This could be a nice Father's Day gift. But am I the only one wondering where they got that shirt from?

Could all be utter nonsense of course. Bit bored waiting for news. Even Waldhof are busy signing players.

  2. If you watch the video of the notts day 2 pre season, around one minute in we see 2 keepers training? One not being carrol? Does this mean a new keeper stepping in?

  3. Who are the best players within each area in League Two?

    Goalkeeper ?

    Defender ?

    Midfielder ?

    Striker?

Have a go, even if you do not complete them all. It will be interesting to see who says what.

  5. After reading the article below it of course reminded me that I need to re-watch Breaking Bad again soon.

We are at a time where drama on television is imo, at its peak. BB sits up there, again, imo as one of the best of all time. Gritty, funny, sad, compelling all at the same time.

    Did you enjoy BB?

What is your all-time favourite drama and why?

  6. for a 4-3-3 (4-1-5)

    Carroll, Amevor, McKenzie, Bennett, Adams

Jenner (if he comes)or Hayhurst, Swerts, Snijders (if he comes)or Milsom

    Stead, Murray, Spencer

    Bench

TBC Keeper, Hollis, Noble or Wroe, Milsom or Hayhurst, De Silva (if he signs) or Daniels

    for a 4-4-2

    Carroll, Amevor, McKenzie, Bennett, Adams

Jenner or Hayhurst, Swerts, Noble or Wroe, Snijders or Milsom

    Stead, Spencer

    Bench

Keeper, Hollis, Noble or Wroe, De silva or Daniels, and if they don't play either Hayhurst or Milsom

There is a lot of ifs and maybe's in here, but from the pieces we have heard, or had rumoured... that doesn't seem too shabby a side for this league....

Depending how quick the two wide men are, I prefer the 4-3-3, and of that team, I would probably have Bennet as the Captain, but there are leaders back to front..... Carroll, Bennett, Swerts, Stead

  7. Welcome @SydneyPie, it's nice to have another Australian Magpie among our ranks and I do hope that you enjoy the Pride of Nottingham website.

Feel free to tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am sure many other members will take the time to welcome you also. You Pies!

  8. So how do you think Moniz will go about on our first pre season friendly? I know there will be quite a few trialists and it is our first chance to see the new play all be it against lesser opposition.

Let's just hope he doesn't play Spencer

  9. looking forward too the bees playing county this season i personally fancy the bees for promotion specially after some fine signings and taking chavanage best player dembele . gonna be some fine banter with my lickle county friend here in canada , player subscription is in order . but i do wish the county all the best for the season accept when they play the bees i still remember coming to county and going on a vip day lunch and beer b4 game there was a bunch of us . great day we had in the mid 90s .

  10. I can't believe its 10 years since this happened, I vividly remember watching it on the news and being really shocked at the utter chaos and feeling so sorry for those involved and their families. If it happened today our son is working there at the moment I can't imagine the anguish we would be going through.

What are your memories of the day?

Here is our new team so far for the 15-16 season! Any changes you would make?

  12. On my way home, I am actually half way between France and Plymouth at the moment, we will stay in a hotel in Plymouth before driving back to Nottingham.

I've missed you guys, although I have been having a peek when possible but hope to catch up on all the news over the weekend.

  13. pon members who brighten up the site but are missed.

we have had such a burst in newpies posting, which is fantastic and i do not mean to take anything a way from this but @tonyhateley just made me think of this from a discussion in another post.

@MuddyPatchPie, @weymouthPIE and @Pies4u are people who responses i miss.

i hope each are busy, i know they have lives outside of pon but they are good contributors to this site and i do miss seeing their thoughts on notts matters.

    what about you?

  14. I see Julian Jenner has finally put pen to paper. How quick are our wingers going to be?

Who isn't getting excited about this new season because it appears plenty of people are?

    U pies

  15. Which do you own?

Back home I have a play station but I don't very often play on it. Since I have been making frequent deliveries and living from motel to motel, I just don't get much chance to play games when I do get back home.

  16. I have noticed this already being discussed, however since the nature of the discussion originates based around a rumour from off a Twitter account and the fact Jimmy Spencer linking with Blackpool is stepping up a few notches, I felt it was worth while adding a topic on the very subject.

    Team Talk are reporting

"Notts County striker Jimmy Spencer is attracting interest from a host of League One clubs.

The 23-year-old striker is heading into the final year of his contract at Meadow Lane and Blackpool, Fleetwood and Barnsley are all keen on signing the Leeds-born player.

Spencer missed seven months of last season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in July but successfully returned to action in March.

The forward started the final eight games of the season as County were relegated to League Two.

The East Midlands club will hold out for a six-figure fee if Spencer leaves."

Could the Twitter account have merit behind the rumour? What do you make of this? Do you think we should cash in on Jimmy if we could or are you against it?

    Discuss folks...

  17. The Notts retained list has already been a subject of discussion and signings have been/will be discussed, Notts-joe has also posted

Will we see more stability this upcoming season?

I thought it would be interesting to see how members views of the coming season change as close season activity happens.

Beyond Roy Carroll I don't have any idea how Notts would line up or what formation would be used at the moment but with new faces hopefully coming in options should become clearer.

I know it's early days still but where do you see Notts at the moment ? As signings are made do you feel more or less optimistic ?

At the moment I see Notts as lower to mid table and just for the record I see my lot as about 10th.

  18. adam campbell and kyle da silva have both signed up and are now official ncfc players!

    thoughts?

  19. Where do these 2 stand? I thought they were 'in negotiations' but as we've seen with Jones, that doesn't mean anything.

I really hope we can hold onto these 2, from all accounts they do a real good job. I like the blend of Moniz, with Kevan and Yates the old guard, with Pilks and Eddy being more recent.

Eddy has been seen taking training in the videos on MP, so can assume he is staying on?

  20. A warm PoN welcome to @rigsbyvienna.I'm interested in your user name. Why not introduce yourself.Enjoy!

  21. >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puHzBEGjg9k

I need to learn to slow down just a tad bit, though you should see the madness it turns out to be when you add a little background music. LOL TURN YOUR VOLUME DOWN!

  22. For me probably Newcastle to Plymouth, of course this was to see Notts. This was many moons a go and I had been to a family wedding the night be the game.

The travel was brilliant fun, let me tell you.

    What about you?

  23. Did you think you would be pleased with the Wheeling's and dealings? Has Notts achieved your expectations or gone over them?

I did not expect the signings at all and I thought the majority would be average to honest.

So I am pleasantly surprised by them and I just hope that Moniz reaps the rewards from all the hard work involved because I was starting to think do serious changes might be required to push on from here.
