The Rams players (or at least most of them) report back for pre-season training today.When do/did Notts players start pre-season ?

Ok so I get back off holiday and it seems things have been happening.

Gill Swerts (or something like that) a Danish international has signed, Fword have reneged on a promise to have a friendly, we are playing Mansfield for our first match which was to be a Saturday but is now a Friday, we are rumoured to be signing a Championship striker similar to Hughesy, we've got a new match analyser (or whatever his job title is).

Have I missed anything else?

I would just like to know where you think Ronan Murray stands at Notts?

Do you think he should leave? espicially with Adam Campbell being loomed around in the air.

Do you think the attendances at Meadow Lane will improve over this coming season?

If the result come, along with good displays and goals I can see it lifting again. The question is, if this does happen but the gates are still low, what will Notts do?

i am trying to purchase my Season ticket but i cannot find the link at all on the website ( other than the bench ) any help please?

Whilst away on a break I had a text from my daughter in law to say that Grandson George had brought a letter from school asking if he wanted to attend an event at the donkey sanctuary to be presented with a shirt and a ticket to a match. Daughter in law asked if he should go or was it against his religion

I replied that it would have to be George's decision but I wouldn't be taking him to any Fword matches free ticket or no free ticket. George has decided to go but says that he doesn't have to like them just because he's going, he wants to go because all his class mates are going.

Why can't Notts do something like this? I just hope peer pressure doesn't make him want to turn r*d.

He's got a season ticket for Notts so hopefully the Fword shirt will be consigned to the back of the wardrobe never to be seen again.

Coal deliveries?

This is one for @super_ram, @GrannyPie and maybe one or two others.

We had an outside coal house and my mum used to stand on the back doorstep of our "two up two down" terraced house while the coal men brought the coal off the lorry on their shoulders up the entry round the backs of all the houses to get to ours to dump it in the coal house and then fetch another. I think each sack was 1 cwt and we had around 20 which she stood and counted to make sure we weren't "diddled"

The fixtures are out today! Do we get our late summer trip to York, or maybe we'll celebrate promotion there?? When can Mansfield fans look forward to their trip to the big city?

Would new owners be able to drive Notts forward? Is it time for the Trews to sell up if this season doesn't measure well in terms if success?

The more I read, the more I feel we need a fresh direction and a board without a split fan base. I appreciate what the Trews have done but I don't see how they will move us forward. If we don't see success on the field, I do feel they should weigh this up themselves because they are likely unable to make back what they have put in.

Time for a frank and serious discussion about the current owners. Discuss people!

With the men's team in the basement division and the ladies team seemingly doing very well coupled with cheaper admission to watch them, I wouldn't be surprised to see the ladies getting more attend some of their matches than the men get in some of theirs.

Thoughts?

With all the new signings I decided to have a look at the current odds for us to win the league or get promoted. 

I got 23-1 for champions and 6-1 for promotion.

Worth a quick tenner and may come in handy if we win the league!

Who would you name as your favourite player from the last five years?

I would name Alan Judge.

He was a great signing for Notts and a player we should have made money from. In the updates I used to check, his name always stood out and we just can't get that type of quality now.

I read on PONs FB page that Notts are now top, what do you make of this?

It's good to see Notts fans encouraging support, if fans are buying merchandise even better and credit must go to all involved in promoting and pushing it.

What an evening it's been - already England Women reached the second round of the World Cup, and they've only gone one better by beating Norway and making the quarter-finals!

Now, England have technically reached the quarters before, but in the past the competition was smaller and the second round was effectively the last eight. 

So, they've made history today, by beating a pretty good and highly-fancied Norway side 2-1 - and how good was Lucy Bronze's goal?! Absolute thunderbolt that will certainly be shown on the various social media channels in a few hours!

Could this be the best England Women side we've ever had?

The Flying Dutchman will sign today according to Radio Nottingham. And 4 other players may sign before the weekend.
