  3. What little character he has left after the assassination of it by all corners of the media, let us see if we can totally finish the job.

He pledges his future to Aston Villa, assuring them he is going nowhere, everybody holds him up as some kind of modern paragon of virtue. Before you know it, he has changed his mind, and decided he does want to leave after all.... No messing about, straight up to Manchester and before you can say Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, he is a City player.

On the 7th of November Manchester City travel to Villa Park, now I am not normally a fan of the premier league, but this one game has suddenly become somewhat appealing.....

    your thoughts....

  4. Hi folks,

Anybody going to Wembley on the 1st August for the Women's FA Cup final? I'm unsure how to go about it. Driving, coach or train? And is the club putting up any transport for fans to get down?

  5. With all the signings, I am wondering if the squad is now seen to be complete?

Prior to Loach and Atkinson, most fans seemed to just want a striker. I am not expecting any more signings myself, but i am happy with how the team currently looks. At this stage, if anyone does come in, I think they must be strong contenders for the first team rather than anything else. What about you?

Do we need cover anywhere else?

  6. The all conquering English Premier League is now in the spotlight again for the wrong reasons... you can forget all the latest signings, we all know that the only thing supporting that league is money, from broadcasting and from sponsorship.... This latest article says that most of the premier league clubs do not cater sufficiently for disabled fans, in fact some of them behave abhorrently.

Lord Holmes is going to be writing to sponsors and broadcasters partners to try and persuade them to withdraw their support for the league and the way things are on this topic. Is this likely to succeed, we all know that big business does not like its name to be associated with all the negativity and the real bad publicity that can come.... here is the article...

Just another reason for me to dislike the Premier league... but what do you guys n gals think, will this do any good, where does your moral compass point with this....

    have your say...

  8. Right-back Wesley Atkinson has joined Notts County on a one-year deal with an option to extend…

The former West Bromwich Albion youth graduate has been on trial with the club throughout July and impressed in the friendlies to become Notts’ 15th summer signing.

The 20-year-old also scored at the weekend finishing off a flowing move against Alfreton Town where he played in a more central role.

Atkinson, who has played a majority of his games for Albion’s Under 21s side also gained experience for Cambridge United on loan last season, playing twice.

The energetic full-back also has an eye for goal having scoring twice in the Under 21s Premier League and also scored once in 13 appearances in the Premier League Reserve League.

He was released by the Baggies earlier in the summer and will be hoping to continue to impress to force his way into Manager Ricardo Moniz’s first team plans this year.

Fans can sponsor Wes’ full kit, training kit and boots and socks by contacting the club’s Commercial Team on 0115 9557 241 or e-mail: [email protected]

  9. He has not played any preseason games, have i missed something? is he still injuryed, please help me out, thanks!:D

  10. So its our toughest test yet and we will be able to see how our team fear against actual league opposition looking forward to seeing how we cope

  11. Hi guys

I've lived in Nottingham quite a while now and can't travel to my home town very often for one reason or another.

So I've got myself a season ticket for Notts and I have to say I'm buzzing for it. Sat on the kop a fair few times before so that's where I'm sitting, never tried the other stands other than the away end!

Have I picked a decent spot or should I have gone else where?

Anyway really looking forward to, got a real soft spot for Notts, a proper football club in a great city,

  12. Hello and welcome to PoN,@hot spud. Please make yourself comfortable and join in posting.Enjoy!

  13. I have looked at pictures taken in the past 3 friendlies, none of which seem to feature Moniz at all. In fact Carlton seemed to be more down to the coaching staff, Alfreton seemed to be Kevan as the man in charge.

Can anyone confirm if he was present at the friendlies? What is going on?

  14. Was spotted at the game big centre back don't know much about him but i think we could do we one more centre half and then that position is setled.
    thoughts?

  15. ok so what should we run out to this season.... here is my shout

    Mahna Mahna

Catchy....and the most hilarious part is.... I can see large sections of the Kop trying this

  16. Spotted a great article in the red rag.... http://www.nottinghampost.com/Dean-Yates-hoping-instill-community-ethos-s-Notts/story-26934200-detail/story.html

So players coming into the MLSB after games? more fans in the 1862 suite? I for one think it would be great to not only get good football back at the lane, but also the feel of the real community club that is talked about.... If Deano can make them understand what it feels like to support this club, to be forever entwined with its fortunes and failures.... to be a fan.... how fantastic would that be?

OUR Notts County, this club tugs the heart strings, Community.... Pride..... Passion....Family..... Agony.... Ecstasy

This is Notts County! This is real!

  17. Given the signings and RM's style, I reckon we'll score 100+ goals this season. I reckon we'll concede over 50. I doubt there will be many 0-0s. Should put bums on seats....

  18. Naturally I mean this for mobile devices such as your phone/tablet.

    Which do you prefer?

    Windows - Likes/Dislikes?
    IOS - Likes/Dislikes?
    Android - Likes/Dislikes?

Have you tried all three platforms? I am really curious to see opinions.

    Lets discuss it.

  19. A warm PoN welcome to @No 1 George Smith. Please make yourself comfortable and join in.

  20. FGR are looking to build a new stadium, it looks impressive providing they do not have to compromise to appease planners

    http://www.forestgreenroversfc.com/news/first-team-news/2015/new-eco-park-stadium-plans-unveiled

Mind you, the thing that gets me, how on earth did FGR manage to attract Dale Vince.... the one time anti-establishment new age traveller turned eco businessman is the one bankrolling the club.....

Could it simply be that they are the biggest team with the word "Green" in the name.....

  21. A warm PoN welcome to @Dunce.You're certainly no dunce with your decision to join our site.Enjoy.

  22. Notts are away at Grimsby tomorrow in the latest pre-season friendly. Will  RM give @MuddyPatchPie  her wish and field a more settled side that is closer to his idea of how Notts will line up when the season starts proper ? Grimsby beat the Rams 2 - 1  in our opening pre-season friendly so I'm very interested to see how this game goes.

  23. Anyone play either of these? Which do you prefer?

I am a snooker player myself.
