  1. Later on today, I will be appearing on the BBC Radio Nottingham's football talk show 'Match Talk'.

I am very excited about returning, and although I am used to doing our very own audio based show - The PONcasts. I am sure, the experience will be different but very fun. It's likely I will be nervous, who wouldn't? I suppose if your confident and really out going, you wouldn't be but this said I am pleased that David Jackson has had me back.

My first appearance, I only became nervous once we went on air but I felt I did very well.

Back then, I wasn't keen on hearing my own voice but much has changed since then. Please do listen and show your support folks, this would mean an incredible amount to me and I hope to hear that you.

PS. Don't phone in... LOL :lol::rolleyes:

  4. A lovely bright sunny morning here.

We've got the grandkids again today, hopefully George will be better behaved as he announced yesterday that he hated coming to us because he couldn't get his own way! He later apologised and said he didn't mean it.

I'll take him swimming this morning to get rid of some of that aggression and tire him out, sometimes it seems he's more like a teenager than 6!

  5. University Of Nottingham won their first round match in University Challenge last night. They beat Swansea. There's a lad from Hucknall in their team. He's the guy on the far right below. Dennis is his name. Anyone know him?

  6. Sun is shining, but it's a bit nippy. Typical Autumn day I suppose. Looking forward to University Challenge and Only Connect tonight.

  7. His he the championship striker we are chasing?

  8. Colin Slater was saying before today's match that Notts have now withdrawn their interest in the Crawley striker after having an improved offer rejected and there is no new name in the frame.

So does this mean we are going to settle with what we've got now?

There's four weeks until the transfer window closes, time will tell.

    What do you think?

  9. VIDEO OF TODAY'S GAME:

Hello there I am a groundhopper and I record my adventures on my YouTube channel 'AwayDays' Today I was at your game against Stevenage (In with the home fans but as a neutral) Your fans were a credit to your club and were extremely loud, hopefully youc an check out the video I made including chants from the fans and highlights of the game.

    ENJOY (Hopefully)

  10. Come on lets get more members than ever involved this season. @tonyhateley & @super_ram shared the trophy last season finishing with 179 points each, but @william1984, @Dripsey3, @Dan, @GrannyPie & @PTID1862 were not far behind. Can they go one better this season, or will somebody else take the title? Let's find out.

Same rules as the last two seasons - 3 points for a correct score, 1 for a correct result. But remember this season to include your "joker". Whichever prediction you choose as your joker will count for double points!

All predictions must be submitted by 3pm on Saturday. I usually post the scores either Saturday night or Sunday, obviously depending on where I've been on the Saturday.

    So then, this Saturday's fixtures:

Charlton Athletic v Queens Park Rangers

    Hull City v Huddersfield Town

    Gillingham v Sheffield United

    Shrewsbury Town v Millwall

    Exeter City v Yeovil Town

    Leyton Orient v Barnet

    Good luck!

What stands out the most about these highlights? For me, our movement looks very impressive.

  12. Just heard that Cila Black has passed away from natural causes at her Spanish villa. From her records throughout the 60's and  later her  tv shows she has been a constant in our lives for what seems to be forever. The suddenness of her passing has come as a great shock to me.RIP Cilla.

  13. Are these two our next signings, both played Friday? Sprockel looked ok, not sure we need another left back in Audel though.

  14. Hello @Veggie pie, Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. I have to say, I like your decision to choose your nickname and the fact you have joined us here. Please do tell us a little bit about yourself...

  16. I was reading elsewhere that a father and daughter who are Notts fans were hit by a car outside the ground. Paramedics and police were quickly on the scene the daughter was thrown in the air and has head injuries the father has injured an arm. They are in separate hospitals the father is having an operation at Stevenage hospital, the daughter has been transferred to Luton where she is receiving treatment for head injuries.

I hope they both make a swift and full recovery.

  20. As the title suggests does anyone proof read anything at Notts before it is published?

According to the programme we have an Adam Smith and the report on the friendly on the official site has been rushed which has led to mistakes.

It surprises me as our media dept has been very good in recent times

  21. Hello and a warm PoN welcome @pglittlewood.I hope you soon settle in and enjoy your time with us,
