What a kind act it was for Maddisson to give Jodi his shirt. It was truly a heartwarming moment to witness.

This is brilliant, it's the type of thing you'd never expect but says a lot about the person. In the case, James Maddison.

People may also forget that Maddison played for Coventry, which is how he knows Jodi Jones. So, there is that connection but still you wouldn't have thought something like this would happen. Jodi even seems surprised and a bit taken back, even though he tries to keep his cool demeanor.

This is nice of James Maddison. It shows how much he thinks of Jodi and that he has shown an interest in his injuries. It’s a nice moment.

This is a great moment for Jodi Jones. His sly smile when he asked if he was sure about the shirt. I also forgot that Maddison played for Coventry.

It was a nice touch from Maddison. I didn’t remember that they had played together either. At first, I thought he was just being nice to Jodi because he was aware of his troubles.

I hope Jodi managed to get the shirt signed. It’s a nice souvenir for him and Maddison did a nice gesture by handing it to him.

it could be a moment in jodi jones international career that he remembers after retiring, to play against england and to be given a shirt afterwards. its something that is nice to see, i did not notice it happen until i saw it on social media.

jodi has not even posted about it. :)

It would be touching to me. Jodi seems moved by it too, but he’s also trying to play it cool. I bet it helps take his mind off the thought of defeat.

This is a lovely moment, thanks for sharing!

In the newspaper article I read, I think he says that James Maddison was his best friend at Coventry when they were young players. But this is nice all the same!

James Maddison has always come across as a very nice player, but this is something else. It’s a very kind thing to do. I hope Jodi Jones gets it framed and hung on his wall, along with his own shirt if he can.

I didn’t know that James Maddison and Jodi Jones were best mates, but it explains the comment. I had forgotten that they were both at Coventry. Jodi could easily be playing in the Premier League if it weren’t for his injuries.

It’s a nice touch by James Maddison to give Jodi Jones his match shirt. Considering it’s a friendly, it shows more than just respect. I believe it shows a high level of support and well wishes towards Jones.

Moments like this restore my faith in football, making me remember it's more than just a game, it's also about the relationships and camaraderie between the players.

The fact that Jodi Jones remains humble and doesn't boast about this act of kindness from Maddison on social media just shows what type of character he is. Well done to both players!

Knowing that Maddison and Jones were best mates at Coventry makes my heart smile. It's important for players to have support systems like this in the industry.

James Maddison has made a fine gesture. It’s a very kind thing for him to do for his former teammate and friend. Jodi must be delighted with this and the Notts lads that went to support him must be too.

I love seeing acts of sportsmanship like this. Maddison must have seen the hard work Jones has gone through with his injury and wanted to show his support since when they were team mates.

It's always great to see acts of kindness within the football world. It's too often overshadowed by controversial moments and drama.

Acts like these remind us that being a great football player isn't just about talent. It's also about having a big heart and being a great person.
