Micheal O’connor

So the Micheal O’Connor saga is rumbling on with O’connor originally saying no to a new deal. But Robin Chipperfield has said that Notts have approached O’connor And made him another offer. Do think this is true? Do you think he will resign ? Or has this gone on to far.?

Only quality that I think we need is his leadership, his football ability can be replaced fairly easily IMO.

I'm just fed up of people arguing on social media about him, we have released better players in the past and I just want the club to decide now when the final offer will be made. It's just very boring.

who knows but i think its likely a counter offer would have been made, i just dont think o'connor will sign personally.

its just gone on for more than it needs to do.

I would have preferred Michael O'Connor staying, yet if you offer him less and then repeatedly try to undervalue his services - there's always a chance that somebody else won't. It's a gamble, so like I have said before you really have to ensure that agreements are put in place at a time when less teams will be looking to sign players less. Why we always leave it until the end of the season is beyond me.

I have no hard feelings if O'Connor joins Lincoln City.

We just need a new leader and another ball playing midfielder, it could be a blessing in disguise really.

A field where dreams become reality.

If he's leaving there's nothing that can be done about it.

Alan Hardy tweeting about loyalty reminds me of something a child would do after falling out with their best mate. He did well here, we are improving so move on. Find someone to replace him and make sure its a quality addition.

Is there any need for knee jerk reactions?

He's a professional footballer, they move about and it's to be expected. I wished he would have signed a new deal but I respect that he hasn't. If my emplorer offered me less money for the same job, I would move on. Good luck to him!

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

I am disappointed to see him leave but I understand his reasoning's, I would just like to see a new leader like him emerge on the field because I think too many players shy away from this duty.

Players normally leave after rejecting deals so it seemed unlikely that Michael O'Connor would resign.

We also have no idea what terms have been offered or even if anything had been placed on the table, it could be that O'Connor fancied a fresh challenge himself. He's gone Lincoln City, not Mansfield. We can sign a better player and use the money more wisely.

That Alan hardy tweet is the spoof account I think.

It's got the blue tick, its him sadly.

I'm pleased we can put this to rest now, Michael O'Connor is no longer a Notts player and I will focus on my team.
