A good Notts fan has sadly passed away from cancer today

There will be fans on here who are aware of Ben, so I thought we should pay respect to him here.

Some will know that he had been diagnosed with cancer, it came as a shock when I found out and it's just very saddening to see such a great guy and a popular Notts fan pass on leaving such a lovely family behind. I am blessed to have known Ben personally and as a friend, he used to play in my football group. He will be sadly missed by many of the lads there too.

Rest in Peace Ben Hastings... :(

A field where dreams become reality.

Rest in Peace Ben. Fly high lad

I saw this on Facebook, its sad but I would like to think his family can take some form of comfort from the well wishes.

Seeing how much of a popular figure Ben Hastings was, it says a lot about him.

Rest in Peace Ben.

Very sad news, worked with Ben when in print, he was such a lovely guy always smiling loved his football, will be greatly missed thoughts go out to his family RIP mate.

Ben was a good lad, I have spoken to him at Notts a few times but I have not seen him for awhile.

Deeply saddened to read this on PON.

Rest in Peace Ben. :(

I didn’t know Ben personally but I share everyone’s sadness at this news, I especially feel for his family and friends who will be suffering great heartache at this time and for many months and years to come, I hope they find strength from all the good wishes.
