From the Nottingham Post:

A Bulgarian multi-millionaire has been linked with a takeover of Notts County, as owner Alan Hardy continues his search to find a buyer for the club.

According to reports, Kiril Domuschiev is believed to have shown an interest in the Magpies as he looks to make a foray into English football.

He already owns Bulgarian side Ludogrets, having taken them from being an amateur club to the Champions League thanks to his financial power.

It is reported Domuschiev is now looking to take on a similar project and has been directed to the Magpies, the world’s oldest professional Football League club.

it sounds like the real munto, i hope its true because we would all love to get to where ludogrets have gotten through his support. i know it takes more than millions but just playing in the championship would be nice.

Let the takeover happen, then we can discuss the new owners. At this stage it's all speculation and rumours.

If it happens, it happens. It would be better someone in the uk owning notts county.

This would be a good outcome for Notts if it's true, the club add some proper infrastructure finally.

I think it sounds too good to be true myself. Watch this space though eh.

It happened with the Trews if people remember, the was reports of riches and multi-million pound interest and then we ended up with Alan Hardy. Hopefully the club will attract someone who has football experience, I would be against this Bulgarian owner coming in.

He understands success based on his roles so far.

The Nottingham Post is about as credible as some of the Twitter pages pretending to know what they talk about but are written by people my age with no lives outside of football.

Posted

Its easy news for them but until its announced officially its just speculation.

Posted

If true, he won't be put off by relegation like some so that is a bonus but until things are more concrete who knows?

Posted

So he's the owner of Ludogrets and not Ludogorets? Quality journalism when they don't even spell the name right...

The idea of a benevolent millionaire seeking to return us to former glories is a seductive one, but it can often go wrong too so I'm keeping an open mind. For all of Alan Hardy's faults he does genuinely care about the club and I think and hope he wouldn't sell us to someone who's in it for the wrong reasons.

It depends who he would put charge of the club if the takeover happens, he needs to hire someone with the knowledge of the English game @DangerousSausage.

I don't see him being as hands on as Hardy's been.

That might be a good thing as it will leave the club to handle the sensitive matters finally.

Overseas owners just seem to oversee the club as a financial business venture and with any sense, notts is not that.

Posted

The club needs more investment off the pitch as this would help it on the field, I think we have blown this seasons budget and hoping that some mega rich person will sweep the club offs its feet and into fairytale land.

I don't think it will happen.

Stories like this are aimed at getting fans to share but also to them think with their hearts, you have to wait and see.

Posted

Just bread crumbs for a more interesting story, until more solid news is mentioned or unearthed things like this aren't anything much. It's good to discuss but the speculation over its truth would be unknown.

Posted

I just want someone new to take over, there's nothing against Alan Hardy but it's clear the club needs a fresh direction. He's done much better than the previous regime even if we are close to falling out of the league, much of this is down to the players.

If this is true, it might be the best of both worlds.

Hopefully he would appoint a chairman and leave them to do the business side of things, Notts needs to remain a family club, however. I don't want that to change at all.

An article has said that Alan Harddy is expecting a bid from an overseas investor within the next few days, but we will see what materialises of that.

Posted

Out of the rumours, I would prefer this takeover compared to the Australian group. I would rather the club have someone who has worked in football and can sell the club through contracts if needed.

Posted

Someone who knows football would be best.

Posted

We need to find a more stable owner soon.

Posted

Let the takeover happen ASAP now, the club needs save hands and proper money. I bet the doubters of AH are pleased.

Posted

I bet they are pleased @batonncfc but if they care about Notts, they need to see past that to get the best for the club.
