why calls for kevin nolan to be sacked?

yes he picks the squad but look at the opening minutes, the football is there. if notts had scored first i think the game would have been completely different.

my only criticism of nolan is his desire to play out of form players.

its bringing the whole squad down, none of the defenders look capable of fighting for a clean sheet and ross fitzsimons has lost it. he looks lost in goal and unable to do his role properly. the players are letting kn down massively but i still dont understand why people are calling for his head after only 3 games.

After last seasons sucess people expected so much this seaon, especially with the new players signed and how much spent and the quality and  it being Kevin’s team now. People think he has got it wrong and want Kevin sacked because some times a new manager does have impact and fans want that. But that’s not the way. Kevin and the  team need time. That simple

@liampie stop reading twitter and Facebook I don’t think any sensible fan would call for KN’s sacking at this stage, it’s ridiculous.

I understand the concerns and feelings about Kevin continually picking players who are clearly out of form.

However, I think he warrants much more time and I'm not overly concerned because the signs are positive. I don't know why some aren't seeing this? The opening football by Notts was class, we looked very strong and the best I have seen for years. Hemmings, Dennis and Husin looked fired up. I just feel things are disconnected but everyone is entitled to their own opinions.

A few fans said to me yesterday Nolan needs to go, it's more upset and anger than anything else.

A field where dreams become reality.

If we haven't won 10 games in and we have lost more than drawn, maybe it would be right? Right now I don't agree.

Kevin Nolan will fix the issues.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Madness that people want Kevin Nolan out because we have conceded 7 goals but hardly any blame falls on Ross Fitzsimons, Dan Jones, Elliot Hewitt, Richard Duffy or Shaun Brisley who are THE FAULT for the loses so far.

"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

I don't want Kevin Nolan to get sacked or leave just yet, the football at times has been very good. Notts just need that first win.

I'm afraid losing ways can take hold and once the manager has lost his head, it only becomes a matter of time before the sacking happens.

Kevin Nolan is treading on thin ice at the moment.

I don't think people should be calling actively for him to be sacked but its a fair discussion to be had, if Notts don't win soon it will become harder to break and then it might be fairer to debate Nolan's future.

Instant success and utter madness, fans are fickle by nature.

Some believe their own dross that much that they feel the need to spout their opinion and be the first to want the manager out. These people have caused the unrest at the club for years, get behind the squad and help to turn things around. Be supportive and encourage the team.

There have been big improvements, other manages would have lost their heads but Notts came back stronger against Cambridge, then again the other night. There needs to be three defenders back at all times, that's part of the issue.

Nolan will resolve things and the first win will encourage the players to get on with the season.

Some will be angry, frustrated, scared or just plain stupid.

Kevin Nolan has done remarkably well at Notts and yet when there is a slight blip this happens. Last season some of these fans felt the club would miss out on the playoffs they wanted Nolan gone. Why did the players sign for Notts this summer? Then wonder what would happen if we get rid of Notts for the first time he actually stumbles.

I think calling him to be sacked is pathetic and that it’s  juvenile and the attitude of spoiled people

Well said, those that want him gone now will complain when the next manager fails that Kevin Nolan shouldn't have been sacked.

If only real life had a mute button.

Well Kevin Nolan isn't doing himself any favours at all.

He insists on sticking with the same team and this has been shown to be an area the team needs to improve on, 7 goals in two games is very poor. This said I think it's naive at this stage to consider sacking Nolan.

You would have thought fans would have learned the last time the club required support to dig themselves out of a poor situation, it's early days and already people are getting onto Kevin Nolan and hassling Alan Hardy on Twitter.

I don't understand it.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

I feel sorry for Kevin.

There's some right nasty fans making stuff up about him being an alcoholic and other stuff, these people spreading the rumours have no life.

This. The problem we have is the spiralling lack of confidence. When you look at our, quite frankly, poor form from Christmas onwards, then the result is the major dip. The superb start last season masked the second half of the season so the playoffs kept the ‘dream’ alive and fans were happy to be involved. After spending so much this summer, but crucially neglecting the keeper and the defence, then moaners will moan.

There is some validity to their point tbf. The ice is thin at the moment and we need to see some grit and determination from the players and Nolan to ditch Duffy etc...

Hopefully the loan market will be used and Alan Hardy is sensible enough to,realise his investment is going to be wasted if he doesn’t double down and rebuild the back 5.

Notmhappy with the rumours about Kev liking the sauce a little too much in West Bridgford, but I have no info one way or the other.

Last time we had that issue was Howard Kendall and look how that turned out!

As many know, Kevin Nolan was a no nonsense player and is the same as a manager. We should keep him, he got us to where we were last season and I believe he can turn it round. However, he needs to bring that no nonsense into the team and change the team round and be stricter and tell each player they are being dropped until they can perform better. If he doesn't do this then he shouldn't be safe in the job.

The thing is all these armchair managers are using that good old standby called hindsight to air their moans and groans about which players we should have bought, where we should have strengthened etc., I didn’t see or hear one dissenting voice when Nolan made the signings and Hardy opened his wallet in the summer, everyone said we were going to walk the league, now the armchair managers are coming out the woodwork and saying we should have done this or that.

As for rumours that Nolan enjoys a drink too many that probably comes from someone who once saw him in a pub with a pint on one occasion. They are just rumours of which I pay no heed.

Don't you dare change your username, @KingKev.I have my  great memories of  Derby's King Kev  from when I was  a lot younger and I want Notts to have their King Kev  to give all you young Pies  great memories when you're as old as I am.Ignore the doommongers, things WILL get better.

Precisely, we can say now we need new defenders but before the season started we needed attackers. Hardy and Nolan bought in attackers. We was happy. They wasn't to know that our defence would be as poor as they are now.
