Winning pretty a luxury right now?

Don't come out with those comments about winning at all would be a luxury because it doesn't answer the question.

Right now I want to see Notts do whatever they have to do in order to keep clear of the relegation zone, it's alarming alone the amount of goals conceded but adding the fact we have won none and draw one. It's passed being a major concern!

I want to know how PON members feel about the performances and if you would agree that "winning pretty" is a luxury right now? Or would you say winning well is important?

If we won the next 5 games in a row 1-0 scoring in the 90th minute from a scrappy mess in the box then it would do me nicely. You're right at the moment I don't care how we win. Play route 1 or hoof ball I don't care. We can start playing 'pretty football' when we reach 50pts.

Right now Notts must fight to get points and to stop themselves from losing further games.

I would usually say that it's important to win well because it would grow confidence, but the current situation just winning from playing well or scrappy would be of benefit to the players morale. It's a hard situation to be in and until the goals stop leaking through, I fail to see how Notts could remotely play pretty football throughout the course of the 90 minutes. So, yeah... Winning pretty right now would seem to be a luxury.

Come on Notts, just graft as a team and start to pull yourselves out of this.

Until the goals stop leaking through Fitzsimons net, winning scrappy will have to do.

Performances right now should be more about organisation and not conceding, rather than the work rate and skill players put in. With the confidence being so low, I just don't see how Notts would perform well against any other struggling team. Focus must go on the basics and winning at any costs, at least until things do improve.

i have forgotten what winning feels like!

last season it was surreal to think how successful notts was in the first part of the season, now it seems the complete opposite. i dont really care how its done but notts needs to get that first win, they must start keeping clean sheets and only then do i think things will improve.

What @Chris  said , well put can’t really add to that , any ugly win don’t care just stop the defeats and get points on the board .

Points will equal confidence through out the team .. a win this Saturday or even a point will help but they will have to work for it though it won’t be easy.

I don't care how Notts win, they just have to start doing it ASAP because if the losing streak continues things will be glum.

I dont  care how Notts win. Just win please. Like has already been said, we can go pretty when we reach 50 points.

Notts just needs to win, play badly and win. Be lucky, hit a team on the break and score from the only shot on target.

I don't care how. It doesn't, performances can improve down the line.

Provided the players don't resort to cheating to win, they can do so by having one shot that comes off the opposition for all I care and then park the bus. It's the win that Notts needs and it's getting harder each game to break this issue with the defence.

The team just have to win, it's more important to just get three points than what it takes to do it. Performances would lift if the players enjoy their football and I think right now nobody is enjoying it.

Right now it's all about winning.

It doesn't matter how or what the performance is like, just slow progress and small stepping stones. The rest will grow with confidence.

Right now the first few wins will be a luxury but Notts must work harder on lifting the performances from there.

All pretty unanimous up to now, it seems we all just want points on the board and of course that’s right. My worry is, is Harry able to forgo his style of play? He has already said that he’s “a winner” so hopefully he will be able to forgo his principles and get down and dirty to secure some points and confidence throughout the team.

Then again miracles might have happened over the past week and he’s found the solution to the situation and we’ll win comfortably and play football. (Well one can dream) ???? !!! ????????

The first win will be a huge relief if it comes sooner rather than later. It doesn't matter how it happens, that can be improved on but all the effort has to go towards winning some games now.

It seems like a luxury, but notts do tend to start every season badly in the last decade. I would hope things start to pick up, but i won't hold my breath.

This...

I hope Harry Kewell gets the players to focus on the task and to defend better, there needs to be more support but right now a wins a win.

Well we must start by dropping one of the big weaknesses in the team Vaughan, then play Milsom and Hewitt in front of the defence, plus Stead must be on if only for corners and set pieces, this is surely a minimum we must do while we wait for some big freebies to come in and save us, imo

By the way i did say back in July that we was a powder puff team, Nolan lost 4 of our midfield battlers and replaced them with a midget.

I would be interested to see how dropping David Vaughan would do, for me he looks missed when he don't start but the midfield lacks that winning partnership that we had in Ryan Yates and Elliot Hewitt.
