3 games 3 wins, from the bottom of the league to lower mid table. Is it time to start getting excited or should we keep our feet on the ground because they were games we should win.

what are your thoughts?

It's early days, if Notts had performed better against Macclesfield I would have said 'yes'. However, we struggled against a side bottom of the league and the game plan/performance wasn't good at all. We could argue that a lot of the players seemed tired, however this would fall onto the shoulders of Harry Kewell.

The signs are good, but my heart and mind says there will be some tests along the way.

More importantly @Magic magpie's dreams of a playoff final could be a real possibility, we just need to improve away from home and really balance this squad so that we can get the best out of it.

I would be very surprised to make the play offs, though I am more than happy to be.....

Baby steps, had some decent results, without playing particularly well, but the more we are on the right side of results, the more confidence will be instilled into the team. We are getting there, but would still like to see more before I'm convinced. But happy days, onwards and upwards

I won’t let that dream die till we can longer do it

I agree with @Chris assessment... The performance today was poor... but markedly improved are the substitutions, which were more an acknowledgment to the reality that we had nothing to fear against a bottom of the table side.

The lack of a tall experienced central midfielder for Milsom's absence there for all to see...

Thomas and Husin showed that the side more likely to "click" when players  are moving for the ball in space

A few more game maybe today wasnt perfect but Manchester Utd have done crap 1-0 wins but still out good I feel we will do the same .. the lads are looking confident and finely a goalkeeper who looks confident... I still dream of the play off because I know deep in my soul we can do it ... we can do it against the odds of a crap start we have had ....

I'm not getting carried away at all, I think we need to see what happens between now and Christmas before we get excited.

The wheelbarrow tends to break unexpectedly.

We have only just turned things around and have started to get the results needed, I don't think now is the time to get excited. I think there is still a lot of focus needed.

It's hard not to be excited but at the same time there's still further to go.

Plenty of games for Notts to slip up or continue as they are, I think sooner or later things will halt and become average. Kewell's got the squad working hard, we need more than a temporary fix right now.

no but its all good signs.

it sounds like notts was very poor and that they battled for the three points. i also agree that if they had played well and won convincingly that it would give fans more to be optimistic about. i think moving forward and keeping the result coming is the main thing.

No reason to be excited yet, we have still lost more games than we have won and this is only the beginning for Harry Kewell. Kevin Nolan came in and swept the club to safety, he had one good full season and then ended up getting sacked.

We can but we shouldn't, by now we should know that you have to take it game by game.

The 3 back to back wins is good but it always seemed like the first win would ease things, the performances need to improve and level out at an acceptable level before I can think past Bury or whatever the next league game may be.

I'm just relieved we're off the bottom of the league. Hope the start of season was our blip, and its all on the up from now on.

Yes, a wonderful turn around in form, but in the first few games we played teams that are now at the top of the table and we were hammered by most. Getting carried away now would be folly.

I think we have left ourselves far too much to do to make any realistic challenge for promotion. Of course there is a long way to go but we hardly tore Macclesfield apart !

the signs are good for a great recovery but for me, unfortunately this will be a “dead rubber” kind of season. Such a shame after such optimism. I don’t like to say  I told you so but I did predict this season would be an “after the Lord Mayor’s show” event if we didn’t capitalise on our position after last Christmas.

Notts are certainly improving and some of the players that were constistantly playing bad are now doing well, so i would say say so, but it is early days at the moment.

This is only the beginning so its hard to be excited but I see no reason why we can't be pleased or optimistic about further improving the season. It's been a very slow start but I am delighted for the club to see that Harry Kewell is turning things around.

No not excited, i think the key words here are "moving in the right direction"

Notts are playing like sharks right now, they sense a goal and press for it. Enzio must have believed he could win the ball back for Macclesfield and his attitude towards not giving up rewarded the whole squad with a deserved penalty. I think we could all tell the first win would undo the issues, the focus and balance is there now. I am excited but at the same time I am grounded.

I started feeling excited but we need to wait a bit longer .. a few more points and games and a few more up the table

It's hard to get excited with no weekend fixture, if think if the game could have gone ahead and Notts won it. I think I would be very excited because the club are only a few more wins off from completely changing the course of this season.

I think there's room to be excited now, clearly the squad is gaining confidence and a little belief and faith from us could make a huge difference to the players. If they know we have their support and see the improvement, well I think they would want to play even better than they are doing right now.

I am nowhere near excited yet but I am optimistic like others.

Being able to beat the bigger teams well and win a local derby like Mansfield would be enough to change my mind.
