  • A great interview. Normally you can say talk is cheap but you look at the way he addresses the media. No smile, no shakyness. Pure emotion that he wants to do this job. I believe that if his actions are as good as his talk we will do exceptional.

I would be inclined to agree.

I think understands the nature of the task at hand and he seems to know what's going wrong. Part of me felt even Kevin Nolan didn't understand just how bad things had gotten.

Do you feel Harry Kewell will get the job done for Notts?

I am curious to know what fans think about the chances of Harry Kewell having success at Notts, will he safe the club from relegation? Can he push Notts up the table and give League Two a promotion challenge?

Optimistically, I just wish to read that he has installed some sort of belief within the squad whilst steering the club to safety. I would write-off promotion for this because the league survival is far more important. I just hope Harry Kewell has enough about him to improve the defence whilst getting the best out of this Notts squad. There is time to turn things around I think, its just a question of if he can.

What would your targets for Harry Kewell be? And do you think he will get the job done?

Who's idea was it to play this straight after the game against Forest Green Rovers?

It rubbed salt into the wounds from seeing another 3-1 league defeat.

So @Piethagoram tweeted central news about the new manager arriving and lo and behold they read his tweet out. Well done dude the tweet is below for all to see .. would you agree with his tweet ..

Good morning it’s Friday at last, I remember when I used to long for Fridays, the start of the weekend, now it’s just another day since retirement, mind you having said that I do like Fridays now as we always have a home made curry. Except today we aren’t because we have a big day tomorrow and we don’t want to smell of curry. More of that tomorrow.

Grandson George went to scouts for the first time last night and really enjoyed it, apparently they boiled water on a fire and played dodge ball, next week they are throwing axes! Sounds like a health and safety nightmare. :panic: I think scouts will be good for him, he’s a bit of a loner and doesn’t mix with other kids very well, hopefully scouts will bring him out a bit.

Right, as soon as all the kids are safely in school I’m off for a run, I pass two schools and it can get a bit busy so I wait till they’re all inside.

Have a good day whatever you are up to.

Come on you Kopites you know it makes sense,

From Boney M, "Daddy Cool"

He's is crazy like a fool
What about it Harry Kewell

Harry, Harry Kewell

It's fantasy land if Nolan thinks this squad is good enough? What is very apparent from the initial games, we have no height, no muscle, no guts to grind out results yet other teams are light years ahead of us. Relegation is a real possibility unless decent loan signings can be attracted, which may prove difficult in our position

I refer back to this link as to where things started going wrong. If he thought Hewitt and Duffy should have been contenders, I am sorry but I think he started losing the plot.

Hewitt looked good alongside Yates but since the latter's departure, the same Hewitt is the one that loses possession the most. The tightness of the defence for the first half of the season was down to Hewitt and Yates protecting the Centre backs.

Duffy, well this season, seems unaware of danger and lingers rather than challenging for the ball

Coaching staff in totality needs to look at themselves. Do the players know what they are supposed to be doing. After Lincoln, my answer has to be no

Well, Nolan looks a broken man and I beleive he needs replacing immediately. Gary Bowyer is available. I will leave it at that

So the new man is in charge things seems to be returning to normal structure gaffer in place etc so on Saturday we travel to Exeter in a must win league tie.

I thought it may be good to hear your thoughts and opinions about the game on Saturday. for example do you think the new gaffer will have enough time to put measures in place and get the lads thinking positively. Can harry make a impact.?

So Fifa 19 is only a few weeks away who’s gunner take on notts in the infamous career mode.?

what changes you going to make any player you want to sign.?

Good morning PoN, it’s a cloudy start and cooler here. I hope everyone is ok especially the gaffer @Chris.

I’ve got more computer work to do today so I will probably be popping on here fron time to time. There’s not much else happening here, what’s going on in your life, let PoN know.

Most of all have a great day.

Do you believe in Aliens?

There has to be more life outside of earth right? We cannot be the only living planet in the universe. A popular theory I have seen around the internet is that we live inside a simulated environment like you can see in the Matrix films. If this is true, where would this leave the belief of aliens existing? Are we the aliens living on this planet?

I thought this would be a fun and interesting discussion, nothing to take too seriously but have your say anyway.

Guys can you help me welcome our new member @Phil4nic to Pon.

Saturday's Fixtures:

Preston North End v Bolton Wanderers

West Bromwich Albion v Stoke City

Portsmouth v Plymouth Argyle

Wycombe Wanderers v Luton Town

Exeter City v Lincoln City

Stevenage v Cambridge United

On the back of the shark attack discussion I have posted, I wonder how many PON members have seen a shark alive with their own eyes?

I have seen several types of sharks out at sea, including Great Whites, Hammerheads and Bull sharks. It's scary to think how dangerous these sea creatures can be, most don't look friendly either.

This amazing tale has been resolved now with some interesting facts, the idea of a baby being abandoned in such a manner seems cruel but at least this has a somewhat happy ending. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/a-baby-was-abandoned-in-a-phone-booth-64-years-ago-now-dna-has-helped-explain-why/ar-BBMaoD8?ocid=spartanntp

What's the tallest and smallest animal you have seen with your own eyes?

Tallest:
Smallest:

I think this could be an interesting sub topic, as it will see how much exploring some fans have done.

Good morning all, I'm a bit late starting this thread today but I know you are all itching to hear what I am up to today aren't you? No? Oh well, I'll tell you anyway.

I've already been on a run, I was going to run down the canal but the fair is in town with the accompanying travellers, my normal canal run is very lonely and last time the fair was in town a runner got mugged on the canal which is close to the travellers encampment, I don't know whether the two are connected but I don't want to risk it to be honest. So I did a pavement run which takes me in an entirely different direction, I managed to do nearly 6 kilometres in 36 minutes, not my fastest pace but it is quite hilly so I'm pretty pleased with the time.

After having a rest and shower I am now settling down to do some computer work, then hopefully this afternoon I can go for a walk with Mrs. BigTone and then relax a bit.

What has everyone else got planned for today?

https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2018/august/kewell-appointed-manager/

Manager: Harry Kewell

Assistant: Warren Feeney

With Darren Fletcher standing down from the board.

Rob Milsom returns from Crawley Town on an initial loan deal.

 https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2018/august/milsom-signs/

Personally I think this is poor and I am not a fan of this move one bit. Rob is a cracking player and guy but he only left in May and now hes back. Something not right here.

Inspired by @Fan of Big Tone Daily Chat Thread I thought I would ask the PON Community simply, Indian or Chinese? Also what is your order when having one?

Good morning PoN, we have an early wake up today as we’ve got the grandchildren coming any minute. They are off school on an inset day and we are taking them to a theme park called Twin Lakes in Leicestershire, it’s a treat for George’s birthday as he was 10 on Sunday.

I won’t be around much today so I hope everyone has a great day, I’ll pop on here tonight while I’m listening to the match on the radio.

Dont forget to tell us what you’re up to today.

So next up County take on Grimsby away in the checkatrade trophy will you be going.?

Considering rejoining twitter as it seems the best social media to keep up to date with football, notts etc. But not always been a fan, wondering if it's worth signing back up to join the social media to connect? Is it worth re joining anyone else on twitter?
