For years Manchester City have managed to avoid Major Injuries to their Top players, and their Arab owners have spent vast amounts of money to bring in World Class players to literally buy Trophies in English Domestic Football, making the Premier League a Joke.  I wouldn't say City were in a Crisis, but it may be a Situation Pep has never found himself in Before, Now we'll see how Good a Coach he is. But then again he should have enough of a Strong in Depth Squad to overcome his sides Injury problems. So  I still expect the Blue side of Manchester to be in the Mix for Trophies come the seasons end.

@Wheelbarrow repair man It will be a challenge for Pep, it's very unusual for City to lose a match, so just one loss has got the media in a frenzy.

I think the choice of my title was more a kin to being a little facetious regarding the situation.

If Pep can't get City out of this "mini crisis" (three defeats on the bounce) questions will start to be asked by the media on whether Pep is up for a fight or not.

The Media are good at making a drama look like a crisis. It's the click & bait age for all said & done.

Scott played well in the National League playing in an attacking midfield role and he still scored a good number of goals. I think he's still capable of playing that role for us along with playing as forward too (good luck getting in a head of Jatta and Didzy there though).

But the injury has been a massive setback, even over pre-season he didn't score and he looked like a player that hadn't played for a year. And then in his competitive return he's not looked quite on it but that is to be expected with all the football he's missed. I think he just needs a bit more playing time and with our injuries to Jodi, Grant and Edwards he's got more of chance than ever now.

I don't think it matters too much where he plays, he's played enough in the attacking midfield role he knows what to do, he's just got to take his chance when he gets it.

i think its more the club wanting to make sure he makes the first team and therefore is insisting to play him in midfield, he can do well but he needs time after his injury. i dont fault his workrate, hes always working hard. i just dont see him as a midfielder as much, i think he should be played more as a striker. there is the chance he could do a similar role to david mcgoldrick but i dont think persisting with him being a midfielder is all that beneficial to him.

the first part of last season in league two, he was brilliant.

he must feel a bit lost without macaulay langstaff, they have been a duo for awhile and being played out of position, it must add to missing his former teammate.

I think that it is becoming a cause for concern that we have eight injured players on the treatment table. 

Whether it stems from rough treatment by the opposition, training methods or modern day footballers getting tired much easily nowadays.

It is not just happening at Notts but other clubs up and down the league have the same issues.

Eight players out of the squad is a very big number & a large number such as this brings the academy players into play too.

But the fit players available now have to step up to the plate & make a play themselves for a place in the starting eleven, once these injured player's return.

I have really enjoyed watching all our new defensive recruits and Macari who seems to get a tad forgotten but he’s been playing very well this season too. We are stacked with options now and there’s no lack of competition which was really missing last season.

Beating Harrogate 1:0 was Notts's 5th clean sheet of the league season in 14 matches.

Alex Bass, Matty Platt, Lewis Macari, & Jacob Bedeau must be one of the best defensive units in the division at present, but it will be a tough job to keep Doncaster Rovers at bay this Saturday.

Can the super four continue to stay firm?

I’m delighted for Jevani, if I’m honest I didn’t rate him in the first few games I saw him play but fair do’s he certainly came good in the FA Cup game, let hope it’s not a case of “ one swallow doesn’t make a summer”.

Not sure that quote is right but you know what I mean. 

Jevani is going to be an important player for Notts leading up to the new year.

I hope that he will only get better for Notts.

I don't think they survive this season. There's a reason why I put them in the bottom 4 of my League 1 predictions. Nothing up front and other teams have got better. You needed to get recruitment right in that league this summer and they haven't. They won't make steps forward again unless Roland Wycherley sells the club

We totally dominated the 1st half at Shrewsbury. Their team looked doomed then. Notts just handed them victory after half time, including another Slocombe clanger.

Is he there to show the new Head Coach the Man Utd ropes, as in you do it this way or it's the highway.

I've heard that Van Nistelrooy is staying too. Also did you notice they appointed a Head Coach, not a Team Manager, so it really does look that the new Head Coach may be tightly controlled regarding is remit.

Of course I might be totally wrong by my assumption, but if it were me, I would expect to bring in my own people like Stuart Maynard did at Notts. But what do I know.

I read that Van Nistrelrooy  was expected to leave when the New Head Coach arrives, because he was bringing his own staff in with him. Plus there were also a couple of players he wanted to bring to United from his old club in the January Transfer Window. But current Manchester United Players wanted Ruud to stay at Old Trafford, in some sort of position.

So what exactly  is Giggs going to do? Very Odd..

@Wheelbarrow repair man l looked on Google to see what Ryan Giggs is currently doing and he is down as Director of Football at Salford City, so I'm not sure what's happening.

And he was in the Dugout for Salford City for their win the other day against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup, so It all seems a little confusing somewhat.

But he does have huge ties to Man Utd, so anything happening there will surely interest him.

Personally I think this is a result of a very poor decision by the FA to abolish replays from the FA Cup 1st Round onwards.They didn't abolish replays in the qualifying rounds.

When teams in the lower leagues are struggling for revenue non league teams & even lower league teams could earn hundreds of thousands of pounds from TV revenue for a replay against a top side.

The first two rounds of the FA Cup don't even involve Premier League Cubs so why stop replays for the first two rounds?

It is a very poor show by the powers that be, who have decided that PL sides participation in Europe comes first over the most famous football tournament in the World.

The reality is the PL are the paymasters...the FA seemingly just follow their instructions

Well @Wheelbarrow repair man  we have a list of seven clubs so far, that have missed out on a lucrative replay, that could have earned them up to £100K in TV money. 

This list will only grow bigger as each round is played, & the money lost by an unfortunate club, will get much more as each round is completed.

Did you know that the town of Bawtry was in Nottinghamshire before it was placed just inside Yorkshire before the Norman conquest?

Bawtry was originally a Roman settlement on Ermine Street, located between Doncaster & Lincoln.  

A small settlement developed around a wharf, & evidence suggests that St Nicholas' Church was first erected during this period. 

Around 1200, a new town was developed next to the old village.Bawtry grew as a river port & commercial center, exporting wool & other items overseas by the mid-14th century.  

Bawtry town center has been designated a Conservation Area to protect its historic and architectural features.

Just watched the highlights this morning and it looked like a bit of stroll in the end. Having watched a bit of the Tamworth game last night it’s easy to see how good teams can get knocked out in a one-off game. So that was very good night's work for us!

Brown has really settled into the team now, he’s taken his chance and has looked very good in his last few appearances. I’ll be interested to see how others thought Ness, Hinchy and Martin did against what seemed to be a physical team. Any signs of improvement/promise?

I’d like another home draw too but I think avoiding any team with a plastic pitch would be a good outcome!

It was a good result for Notts against a plucky Alfreton who's tactics worked in the first half very well.

Stuart changed the Notts shape in the 2nd half & Notts took control of the game.

Jatta is proving to be a fantastic signing for Notts, & he has clearly shown that he is a class player at this level.

I think that the Notts defensive unit did well once again, & I'm particularly pleased with how Martin & particularly Brown are both improving in every game they play.

Those two are going to be important to Notts especially while the injury list is so long. Hopefully, some of those injured players will have recovered for the match against Doncaster.

Sick of getting teams we played in pre-season ????????. We're going to end up getting Duisburg in the 3rd round

It's a winnerable game if we play our strongest side. It should be a good attendance with a few thousand Notts fans going to the match.

I’d guess Deliveroo, Just Eat & Uber Eats all operate in the same way. They will all take a percentage of their sale, no idea how much, but I guess in theory it is to cover this. But equally they could still hike the prices and make even more money because not many will double check the prices.

They kind of have to be on these apps now, it’s the new way, not many young people will go onto a restaurant's website anymore. And the concept of picking up the phone to order a takeaway... What is this 2008?! When I get a curry from our local restaurant my partner finds it strange that that I walk down to the restaurant and order it in there… But it means I get to have a nice walk, a little chat and most importantly a beer whilst I wait. So I know who the real winner is!

Clocks go back in the United States this weekend, and they are also having a conversation about abolishing putting the clocks back.

This gets discussed every year but it never happens.

What a throw he has, blimey! It was also good to see Haydn Hollis in there doing his bit to put the goalie and defenders off. 

It’s a really impressive throw and I don't want to be a killjoy, but I'm going to be... Is it just me seeing a foul on the keeper? The striker throws his hand into the keeper’s head? That’s a foul. There's another angle that's missing that shows it more clearly and it's missing from that clip, I guess they are trying to not spoil the feel-good moment everyone wants.

Huddersfield still should’ve been able to come back from it though, they only needed one goal and if you can’t score one against a team two divisions lower than you I guess you don’t really deserve to go through.

A the end of the day the goal was given. I think whether it was given or not doesn't detract from the chaos that a long throw like that can do to defences.

Most defences just don't know how to deal with it because the trajectory of the ball from a throw in is different to a normal cross by kicking the ball. 

So Man Utd have their man. He was the only candidate that they interviewed. 

I wish him luck in his new position. He will definitely need it. Utd will have huge expectations that he can forge success for them.

It is also an eye opener that he hasn't been appointed Team Manager but First Team Coach.

Caretaker Head Coach, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, will now revert back to an assistant Coach.

So the continental style will continue to be practised at Man U. Probably a 3-4-2-1 that Notts also predominantly use.

The big six clubs in the land will all continue to have foreign coaches who they have all preferred in recent years.

There was a possibility that Gareth Southgate could have took the job but he wasn't approached.
