Don't forget to like, tag (anyone you know). Cheers!
Its good to see but it looks awkward that the club would push minor work like this but do nothing for a charity game?
Who cares? I don't.

Inspired by @super_ram I have decided to give you all a trivia question, hopefully it won't be as hard as Super's and someone will actually remember the player.
Β
Question:
Β
Which ex Notts County player started as a miner, played for Notts as a defender and then went on to be a successful country and western singer and got to No.2 in the American charts.
Β
No prizes, just for fun.

I know, not many people are interested in friendly games but it's a good chance to access the playing squad assembled. I also acknowledge the results are meaningless, as we can play poorly pre-season but ever so well in the league and visa versa we can do well but struggle to scrape together results within the league.
Personally I am excited about what could be announced.
What type of friendlies do you hope are announced?
Hopefully we are very selective about which Non League teams we decide to help out this year, I would certainly avoid Arnold Town personally.
I hope we go for League Teams, try to pull local teams like Forest, Villa, Wolves etc down to the lane.

This goes hand in hand with the butter thread!
Β
We have embraced the eating healthy revolution in our home at the moment. I must look like a salad at the moment. Oh for a KFC!
Anyway the cost of buying the food on a daily basis is astronomical!Β
I have switched from sugar to Canderal, salads instead of chips, small portions, actifry to keep fat added to 0%, George Forman Grill to help etc...
Β
Bloody expensive business this trying to be healthy.
Β
Anyone else (not @PTID1862 and his two burgers!) do this on a regular basis and if so how do you afford it?!!!

As part of the healthy eating fad at home we've switched over. Always had Flora (other spreads are available) Light and never ave it another thought.
I read the reports that came out last year about butter and it being more healthy (in moderation) for you than any spread.
Marg is really bad for you apparently and the guy that claimed that butter was a killer was found to be totally wrong. In fact one report likened the guy to Hitler in the fact that giving his medical evidence to the World that Butter was bad for you and we should all move to Margarine, he condemned millions to heart attacks around the World.
Β
Butter is soooo much better taste wise, but the cos again is daft. KerryGold (again other butters are available, but Irish is always best!) is only sold in 250g blocks and when you are used to the 2kg tubs of Flora that's a lot of money spent there.
Β
We now have a butter tray and cover in the kitchen and the butter tastes lovely, but it costs!
Β
Which do you have and why?

Spent the weekend at Mablethorpe with our grandchildren, it was where we always went for family holidays when I was a boy so it was nice to relive it.
We did consider taking them camping but they are still a bit young so I found a static at Golden Sands for ΓΒ£40 per night which was very reasonable I thought. We spent both days on the beach it was quite warm for the time of the year but a bit breezy.
Caught the sand train to Mablethorpe and had fish and chips, tried to win a minion on the grabbers but after spending a fortune I went to a shop and bought one instead.
Great weekend.

Me, we're off to Norfolk for two week in the school hols (hoping first couple of games are away so I don't mess as the first home game!)
One week in the Gt Yarmouth/Lowestoft area and one week at Petney Lakes.
Where are you heading too?

I certainly enjoyed the game yesterday, and gave out a loud yell when the Juve equalizer went in! It was made all the sweeter by the fact that Juve were seen as the weakest of the teams in the semi-finals.
Β
My heart wants Juve to win the final, but my head is saying Barca probably will destroy them. Β How do you guys/gals think the final will go down?

Jack Grealish: Aston Villa player turns down Republic call-up
There was speculation that the in-form midfielder would be called up by Republic boss Martin O'Neill but Grealish, 19, asked not to be included.
Birmingham-born Grealish can also play for England although he has already represented the Republic's Under-21s.
"Jack didn't want to make up his mind at this stage," said O'Neill.
The Republic manager said he had spoken to both Grealish and the player's father.
A "disappointed" O'Neill confirmed he had intended to include Grealish but added that he still believed "there is a good possibility" the midfielder will play for the Republic.
"I'm sure that he could in the future (choose Ireland)," said the Republic manager
"He didn't want to make a decision now. I would have liked to have had him training with us for the week ahead of England game. That's a disappointing aspect."
O'Neill's press conference to announce his squad was delayed by around 40 minutes.
Asked whether this was because he had been in conversation with Grealish's father, O'Neill replied:"Not necessarily."
O'Neill's side face England in Dublin on 7 June before the vital home Euro 2016 qualifier against Scotland at the Aviva Stadium six days later.
Grealish is believed to be on England Under-21 boss Gareth Southgate's radar although the teenager has said he plans to play for the Republic's Under-21s in their Uefa qualifier against Andorra on 8 September.
Earlier this year, Grealish suggested he wanted to delay a call-up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad until next season.
Grealish earned positive reviews for his display in Villa's FA Cup semi-final win over Liverpool last month and has continued to impress in recent games for his club.
O'Neill has given first senior call-ups to Aberdeen striker Adam Rooney and Brentford midfielder Alan Judge as he named an extended 33-man squad for the games which will be preceded by a behind-closed-doors game with Northern Ireland on 4 June.
Everton midfielder Darron Gibson (foot) and Aston Villa defender Ciaran Clark (medial ligament) are both ruled out by injury but Robbie Keane is included despite concerns over a groin problem.
Republic skipper Keane has not played for LA Galaxy for a month because of his injury.
O'Neill will reduce the squad before the players link up on 1 June.
Republic of Ireland squad
Goalkeepers: Forde (Millwall), Given (Aston Villa), Westwood (Sheffield Wednesday), Randolph (Birmingham)
Defenders: Keogh (Derby), Wilson (Stoke), Coleman (Everton), Christie (Derby), O'Shea (Sunderland), Pearce (Reading), McShane (Hull), Ward (Burnley)
Midfielders: McCarthy (Everton), Hendrick (Derby), Arter (Bournemouth), Whelan (Stoke), McGeady (Everton), McClean (Wigan), Judge (Brentford), Brady (Hull), Pilkington (Cardiff), Quinn (Hull), Meyler (Hull), Hoolahan (Norwich)
Forwards: Keane (LA Galaxy), Long (Southampton), Murphy (Ipswich), Walters (Stoke), Doyle (Colorado Rapids), Stokes (Celtic), McGoldrick (Ipswich), Rooney (Aberdeen), Cox (Reading)
My personal thoughts are that he needs to settle within the international scene, this will enable him to focus on his performances and naturally give his current manager something to think about. Yet, I feel it's a mistake to reject his call-up. I respect the decision but I feel he decided to play for Ireland, he should go down that route for me and hopefully this England talk isn't turning his head.
No doubt he would achieve more with England but I just think about 'roots'.
What about you? Right call?

You deserve some success now after these last two seasons.
