Morning all, I hope we aren't too down this morning, I know that yesterday's result spoilt my day, I felt really down in the dumps.

A cloudy day here but not the rain that had been forecast, that's coming tomorrow apparently.

We are nipping to ToysRus later to get a present for our Grandsons birthday, we've got some bits and bobs but need a main present.

Might do a bit of fishing today too I've got some maggots that need using before they turn to flies.

What's on your agenda today.

If anyone hasn't heard, yesterday Jack gave his boots a way to a young Notts fan. He also saluted coaching staff and the Notts fans for making their way down, it's good to see.

For a young player to pay so much respect to a lower tier club, it's pretty unusual.

Well done Jack!

The early sun here in Cumbria has been chased away by the incoming clouds... unsure how the day is going to pan out... but it is match day and I am going. Yippee

The last time we played Morecambe, Sol Campbell had made his first and only appearance for the club.

Can you name one player, staff or personal connected?

I'll start with Nicky Fenton.

What did you make of his début?

He did very well with Jon Stead, its early but both can shoot and they are totally different players, which means they'll keep defenders busy with good service. It was good to see two strikers keen to attack and have cracks at goal.

What did you think???

Off work today. Woke up early anyway. Cats fed. Back to bed. Have to do some outside cleaning today.

Hello @TheAssessor, welcome to PON. I hope you join in and become apart of the community here.

Hi All,

I have been reading a different site for a few years, never logged in or signed up but today I decided to take advice, which is to leave that site and to join PON. I am a huge Notts fan. I travel when possible to games, both home and away.

I actually follow PON on FB, until now I did not realise it had a site but to my defence I just read the page.

That may change now.

This site is very impressive, good style and useful.

I work most days, so night is when I am commonly free and this explains my early post. See you all around!

If anyone that isn't travelling tomorrow, if you are looking for something to do maybe pop down to watch Radford FC. They are playing Shepshed in the FA cup qualifiers. £5 for adults and I think it's £2.50 for kids and concessions.

McLeod should make his debut in this game. I'd imagine Villa will field a weakened side, hopefully we get to see Jack Grealish. RM might go with his strongest side, Noble will be suspended so at least one change.

Our defence is poor but Villa are not exactly prolific. 2-1. McLeod to open his account.

The Nottingham Post has been banned for not removing quotes regarding the internal matters at Meadow Lane. This now means that Leigh Curtis cannot attend match days!

Thoughts?

I can't create a poll folks but please do add a comment below, I will total 'em tomorrow and from our social pages and then name the motm as voted by the fans.

Who was your Man of the Match v Villa?

Good morning everyone. How is everyone today, what are we all doing?

Its another nice morning here just outside York, sadly our holiday has come to an end and we are heading home this morning, tonight we will be going to a SOBS support group meeting to support and chat to other people who have been bereaved through suicide, we lost our son 3 years ago and go to the meetings to support others who are newly bereaved and to get support ourselves.

Have a good day everyone.

Many thanks to Keith @shakeyproductions.

The heavens opened during the night. The thunder rolled. The dog hates thunder and around 1am I felt the wet nose nudging me, I could have got up but I just told her to jump in, she didn't need a second invitation! Thunder Buddies for life.....

I was going to post this after the last round:

Then last night, we had this:

Celtic are a great club with a fantastic tradition. Incidents like the above sully the good name of the club. Leigh Griffiths is a fine player but because he's top dog in Scotland, he seems to think he's Messi or someone!

Scott Brown is a fine midfielder but his actions let him down. Arrogance has crept into the Celtic players since the demise of Rangers. There's no one to really challenge their dominance.

A lovely sunny morning here, today is moving day for us on our camping holiday, we are moving to our last stop which is just outside York with a nice walk down the river bank into the town centre.

Have a good day everyone.

Will he be up for tonight? Former player returning so soon after being releases, will this encourage the best out of him. Also, after Saturday he may want to score again and his confidence could be useful.

This is not the same interview from the PONcast folks, this is another unique and exclusive interview (totally a different set of questions).

Have a watch please folks.

First port of call, I will throw one obvious and that being Jack Grealish. Yet, I can name a further 6 players/coaches.

I won't,

Instead I will by adding Martin O'Neil.

Hey folks,

I recently read Notts County: On This Day, a comprehensive account of our beloved club’s history archived into entries for each day of the year.

I was incredibly impressed with not only how well researched this book is, but also how informative and entertaining it is to read. I'd go as far to say that all Notts fans need this book in their library.

I've posted a review of this book, and I must say I can't sing its praises highly enough. Tim Evershed, the Nottingham-based writer, has done a fantastic job researching all the information and compiling it into an easy to read, entertaining and thoroughly informative tome.

Here's the link to the review, please check it out and, if you like the look of the book, have a look on http://www.pitchpublishing.co.uk for further information.
