Did anyone warn Stoke City about our badge and the colour red? Put your war helmets on everyone, this could become nuclear!

In all seriousness, it's a great gesture. I thought about covering it as a story but without quotes it holds less substance for repeating and I forgot to share it here/on social media. I have been doing site related chores. :(

great gesture, something they did not have to do but have which is great,, i hope notts makes a donation to, instead of leaving it for us fans to donate.

It’s a great gesture by Stoke City. I think Notts should make some form of donation, but they need to cover the costs of hosting the friendly. Maybe they can put part of the gate receipts or just the money from the sales of food/drinks towards it?

Well done, Stoke City; this is a classy gesture. They probably don’t need the money, but that takes nothing away from donating. There are many ways a club can do this, and this is one of the best things. I remember teams giving their money to Notts to help fund it when we were struggling in the 00s.

It’s a good gesture by Stoke City to accredit Jason Turner. I wasn’t aware that his death was heart-related, but it’s a nice thing for them to do. This makes it all the more important for the club to do something similar, as it seems only right.

Well done to Stoke City. I hope that Notts considers doing something similar. Does anyone know if there will be a collection from the fans on the day?

I wouldn’t have guessed that Stoke City would donate all of their half of the friendly to the British Heart Foundation. It’s a nice gesture, and I hope that Notts does something similar.

Its a very nice gesture from them. It will make a difference to the charity. I also hope Notts can do something like that for a charity too.

While it's usual for us to discuss the tactics and performances of teams, it is genuinely warming to see an act of goodwill from one club to another. Stoke City's initiative has added a fresh dimension to football, illuminating the human side of the sport.

What a splendid show of sportsmanship from Stoke City! Their gesture has not only shone a beacon of hope in these uncertain times but also underscored the importance of community and sharing, even within the world of competitive sport.

Isn't it great to see moments in the sport where teams come together for a cause? Stoke City has uplifted this spirit by their act of generosity. It illuminates the very essence of sportsmanship and camaraderie, proving that football is not just a battlefield, but a platform for solidarity too.

In my eyes, this isn't only about charity; it's a signal about the sense of community engrained within the football culture, which is often overlooked. Stoke's act is a shining example of compassion and humanity, reminding us that sporting competition also has a heart.
