Talking Kevin Nolan

Notts seemed to be cursed with all the managers that have failed or have been sacked over the years. It's been awhile since the club has had someone who has a plan of action and steadily improved the league position.

I think in Kev's second full season he will prove his worth even more.

He doesn't seem to accept anything less and I hope he can secure promotion with him, I feel he's the type of manager that will always get the best out of his players. Somewhat like Eddie Howe. What do you think?

Kevin Nolan is placing solid foundations and he seems to be quite a perfectionist, not just in the way that the club operates but with the recruitment. All of his signings look capable of doing something, I know people will say that he's signed the likes of Callum Saunders but you will always have a couple who don't work out.

Look at Mansfield when they tried to claim a league status, they signed players for the fun of it and released many the following year.

Nolan is putting things in place for the club to be successful.

I was worried when he was seen at the Birmingham City game, especially when they had a vacant managerial position after sacking their manager and I think this angered some of the Notts fans on Twitter who called for him to be sacked later on [when we looked uncertain to make the playoffs].

Considering many would class him as a rookie manager, he's gaining that important experience at the club.

For once the Notts seems to be going in the right direction which is mostly down to him.

Hi  @KingKev , Yes and also let's hope people don't get on his back when things don't go our way, let's not forget he is a young manager learning his trade, he needs us as much we need him, let's hope it's for many a long years to come.

It would be nice to think Kevin Nolan may be at the club in say three years time, hopefully by which point Notts may have established themselves as a League One team. But you are right, he needs us and we need him.

He's key to restoring the fan base.

Happy days right now with Nolan and Hardy.

i think what kevin nolan has done is nothing short of amazing, hes transformed the club and given fans a team which we can be proud of. i can see him building and strengthening it further too, i just wished he was not so ego driven at times or moaned about things.

when he first enjoyed success last season he was taking game by game, focusing on the job at hand and not moaning.

hopefully he can cut it out because this starts to show his experience, as every manager is guilty of it. i just think nolan would be more unique if he refocused.

hes a very good upcoming manager and i hope hes here for many more years.

I've said it several times in the past that Notts have been unsettled by all the sackings, it's not the way to operate and just leads to instability. I never thought Alan Hardy would turn things a round so quickly, all the off-field decisions has enabled Kevin Nolan to go out his job for the most part quietly. The pair have that vibe that it can only get better, yet the way Nolan has gone from getting to best out of Sheridan's signings to bring in his own recruits is amazing.

Stability is a big part of any football club, foundations and aiming for targets ensure the clubs progress is usually improving.

Without goals or solid foundations, you have nothing to aspire to be and if you maintain an average squad - you'll end up with an average product on the field.

It's important that we hold onto Nolan, I hope we try to extend his contract again - I know he signed one last season but having him extend it would send a massive message to the squad and us fans.

Kevin's success in my eyes is largely down to the amount of time and effort he puts into the club, he's changed the clubs fortunes from looking like certain relegation candidates to promotion hopefuls. This season I do fancy him to go one better and gain automatic promotion.

Those who have praised Alan Hardy have done quite rightly too.

Big Kev's doing a fantastic job with the squad and the transformation of the club, it makes a huge change to have faith in the manager.

Not all fans trust Kevin Nolan's judgement but I am sure the majority do have faith in him,

He's done a remarkable job at the club.

It's completely different than what it looked like when he first took over, he saved Notts.

What Kevin Nolan has done with Notts in his short time as manager [or long time considering most don't make it this far], I think could be turned into a Hollywood production. I am certain he will eventually go onto bigger and better things.

I suggest we enjoy it whilst it lasts.

Nolan has done a fantastic job but credit needs to go to Alan Hardy too for enabling him to work his magic, they are a great team and I’m not sure that either would be as successful without the other, Here’s to many years of a great partnership which sees Notts attain the success we been starved of for many years.

Agreed.

He has unfinished business this season, if he reads PON is ego will be glowing from what we have all said. Kevin Nolan has done an amazing job with the players he inherited and the ones he's signed. He seems to successfully get the best out of players.

Spot on CM.

His perfection is one of the best things about him as a manager, but he has the ability to bollock people but get them re-focused again without dwelling on things.

I think most sane Notts fans will be impressed with how things have turned a round.

Meadow Lane looks fantastic, all the players, coaches and staff are working in a great environment. I think this plays the biggest part in what has happened to correct all the turmoil but no doubt Kevin Nolan is a very focused manager.
