I think it's going to be a difficult game, I don't expect Bury to try to overpower us or play that direct.

From what I have seen they'll most likely try to counter but defensively they seem woeful. Now if I was Harry Kewell I would be working out ways I can use this to my advantage, set pieces seems to make them wobble - especially corners. They just seem to nap when it matters, however they can score and I think Notts must try to score within the first half if they want to get anything from the game.

I could easily see this ending up as a draw.

not sure what to expect from bury, i do feel they are overachieving somewhat but that does not take anything anyway from their teams performance. i just hope notts can maintain their winning streak or least continue to be undefeated.

that invisible feel would help notts a lot to push further up the table.

just coming home with 3 points will be good enough for me. I'm not sure on their game play either, but we'll find out on saturday.

Bury seem to score late goals and Nicky Maynard will be a definite threat having scored 2 last week against Mansfield. Bury are doing better than I expected but I think we can take the challenge to them. We could look to build on a current away form of 2 unbeaten also getting two clean sheets away from home. I think this one will be a draw 0-0 or 1-1. I wouldn't argue with a point but as we all know we want the three and with MKD coming up swiftly after I think it's important we capitalise on Saturday. We should be looking at a win and a loss over the next two games realistically. 2 losses would be a nightmare especially after the hype were starting to build.

The away performances have to improve somewhere and I think Notts have been steadily increasing under Harry Kewell, I think Notts could come back having won 2-1. It's going to be a battle for sure, however it's one I have the utmost confidence in the team to achieve.

This is a game I was going to .. I think it will be  hard cause we have had the extra time off and because they will be a difficult team to break down they know we are coming with momentum if we can hang on to it so they will make it hard but if we settle first get the early goal I think we will be just fine. If we don’t I still think we will shake of the rust if we have any. I’m going for 1-0 county

A draw wouldn't be a bad thing, it retains the undefeated run and it gives them a chance to up their game to get the win after. Bury is beatable, they are just a decent team nothing more.

Its all down to how Harry Kewell sets the players up.

The game plan should be to keep the ball on the ground and proceed to playing it quickly down the flanks, I think the main area to slow the game down is the middle of the park. If we use the flanks to be direct, the pace Notts has can and will be a benefit to the performance.

Boldewijn and Stead can't be the only players pushing to create a scoring chance.

So this is something that must improved and it should start away at Bury, Hemmings for me is missing a few goals and if he could get on the score sheet I think he would be a massive player.

A draw wouldn't be a bad thing at all.

The main thing is to continue moving forward but there's no doubt the games winnable. I keep saying that we should fear any team in League Two, as the squads more than capable of playing well.

I’m ashamed to say I don’t take a lot of interest in the other teams in league 2 with the possible exception of Mansfailed so I don’t really know much about Bury or their players but I’m hoping for a win obviously or I’d settle for a draw.

By the way is it pronounced Boory or Berry? :huh2:

And why are they called The Shakers?

Why are Bury called the Shakers?J T Ingham - Created 'The Shakers'

It's the most asked question that the club receives, from young to old, they all want to know exactly why are Bury Football Club called 'the Shakers?'

So here it is, the definitive answer

"It was the 1892 Lancashire Cup Final on 23 April that the clubs nickname of 'The Shakers' first came into being. Mr. J T Ingham was Chairman cum team manager at the time and it is this gentleman who is alleged to have been questioned about his team's ability to beat the supposedly stronger opponents that day. It has been recorded down the years since that Mr. Ingham retorted as follows:-

'We shall shake 'em, in fact, we are the Shakers'

And that was seized upon by the press of the day and since then, the club have been known as 'The Shakers.'

Some reports suggest that Mr. Ingham may have actually uttered the phrase at the semi-final game against Everton, but what is certain, is that Bury Football Club's nickname came into existence during the famous Lancashire Senior Cup success of 1892."

So if somebosdy asks, now you know.....

I am open minded about Notts getting a good result, it would be fantastic if they could thrash Bury but I think it will be a tougher game than what some think. I agree with Sam and Chris and they make some very interesting points in the latest PONcast.

I won't predict the score just yet but I am confident the performance will be better than the Macclesfield game.

I haven't long listened to the latest PONcast but the preview sounds spot on with what @Chris and @samwatto2008 mentioned.

There's the need to start giving players game time, especially the likes of Kristian Dennis who can only come good with a fair run in the team. Bringing any player on for the last 15 minutes isn't enough for them to gave on the same wavelength as other players and I just feel Dennis might be a waste of money unless the club starts to work with him.

I would give Dennis and Hemmings the nod.

Save Stead for when the Bury legs get tired and whoever is performing the best out of Dennis and Hemmings should remain on the field.

I have no idea its why I read PON because it educates you all the time.

I think Notts just need to be composed on the ball and play smarter football, if they can dig deep and get a result like Macclesfield it will be a good thing. I do feel the away performances needs some sort of good display.

A win would really fuel the start that has been made in recent weeks, a draw would be acceptable but right now points are what is needed. Notts must play for the win and not just play defensively as a way to avoid leaking goals.

It's time to see if the defence can manage without the stabilisers on.

Attack and go for it, there's no risk of losing right now and winning well could allow things to click further.

I don't know anything about how bury play either, think if possible Harry should stick with the team that beat Macclesfield, and go out with a positive attitude. COYP.

It's a tough one to call, will the week off have given Kewell more time to work on his style and tactics for the Bury game? Or will we look a bit sluggish, will the time off have impacted that winning momentum?

I don't think we'll be able to get away with playing Brisley in CM against a team like Bury. It kind of feels like we've only got two CMs at the minute in Hewitt and Milsom as Kewell is reluctant to use any of the others so it's anyone's guess who gets the nod really.

The defence and keeper have improved and we've got players who can score and create goals in good form at the moment. I'm just worried about the middle of pitch. I think we'll miss Milsom. So I'll go right down the middle and take a draw.

1-1. Enzio for us.

cannot wait for this game I'm counting it down I've missed my fix of the magpies i have a good feeling about tomorrow

Can someone tell me what happened? I had a text from @Magic magpie saying we was losing 1-0, then the final score is 4-0. It sounds bad, I'm curious if it's the defence/keeper or a combination of several things.

It's a disappointing result.

Nothing to do with Fitz. He played fine as could be expected today. Defence was poor, bu the midfield, or lack of, was the issue. Alesso playing in a more centre mid role failed miserably.

Tootle was atrocious at rb.

As I fears then we have allowed the break to get the better of us .. @hissingdwarf Thankyou for letting us know that’s filled some blanks in 👍🏻👍🏻
