A masterstroke by Chettle sending him out when he broke down in the warm up. Not that we know if it made a difference, but could have turned a smaller injury into this nightmare, just what we need. Ardley has a mountain to climb already.

I feel gutted, he's a lively threat and he may not be perfect but Enzio can change games.

It’s a massive blow will be a big miss , need the others back ASAP to join the fight , hope enzio comes back soon and all the best to the lad

Another player injured. Hope he recovers ok.

There's a player we could have done with for the fightback. Wish him a speedy recovery.

he will come back like a new signing and i think it should give some else a chance like terry hawkridge. yesterday nathan thomas was always by the line and isolated, hawkridge gets involved and we miss lewis alessandra too.

I don't know what possessed Chettle to play Enzio when he knew he was injured even if it was only for ten minutes.

Does anyone else think that Notts have had bad luck with Kewell and Chettle playing players that needed rest but they selfishly stuck with their own ideas? I think this highlights how inept they are as managers.

Posted

Yes the same players were always played so none of them were given a break which will cause more injuries.

Some were also in the wrong positions and both kewell and chettle didn't seem to know what they were doing.

Gutted!

He will be missed because hes a big lad and fairly pacey, without him we are missing a lot and it's not just creativity or goals.

Posted

Yes he will be missed, but one man doesn’t make a team and without wanting to sound ungrateful for his contribution to the team but he hardly put a 90 minute shift in every game.

we’ll be fine without him.

This injury hits Notts worse than it does the injury of stead or hemmings, its the heart of the issue the midfield and the club have no pace out wide now.

My 2 teams seem to get more than their fair share of long term injuries though I notice there are generally more long term injuries throughout the leagues than I recall years ago.I wish Enzio well with his recovery.

Disappointing to lose him to injury just as the new manager comes in. Hope he makes a quick recovery. Don't know what Chettle was thinking playing him after getting injured in the warm up

Posted

I just hope the previously injured players are recovered enough to play at the next game.

A few games in and anyone who said we won't miss Enzio will be proven wrong. He's a big loss, we could see this against Carlisle.

Posted

A loss but Notts can improve if they choose to select the right cover and by which point Boldewijn returns. He will be able to impact the games more than he would have if he continued playing.

I'm 50/50, I think he's a great player but at times a luxury one.

I hope his injury creates the opportunity for someone else to come forward and give their utmost, having players fighting to start and get selected would show how the club has turned things around.

I’ve heard and read from various people that Enzo was injured in warm up but Steve still played him ..  if this is true I’m not impressed and not right i feel he is a big loss to the team

This is very bad news for Notts, the club needs all the power and muscle it has. The loss of Enzio seems a bigger blow than some realises as he seems the difference between losing and winning to me.
