Notts "live" on Facebook

For any of you really needing your Notts fix, the media team are showing entire "live" matches regularly on Facebook and YouTube. Spoiler: we tend to win! :D

The schedule is here:

It's actually a good idea IMO, I enjoyed talking to my friends as they watched the last live stream this past Saturday.

It wasn't a substitution for the real thing.

However, it did make up some of what I am missing right now. it's amazing how sport brings us together.

I agree totally. I’ll watch them to keep the football in with some sort of normality, but I’d much prefer classic games.

I watched the Notts Vs Spurs at WH Lane for the FA Cup the other day. Boy that Don OR goal was sweet.
I'm cheering behind the goal like a lunatic, along with all the other Notts fans. Great day that was.

I thought about that too, but with recent games we can pretend it's live (I know that's sad). And for those of us who have been relying on radio and highlights, it's nice to see the players play an actual 90 minutes.

I'd like to see some older matches too, but there's a couple of issues there. Going back 20-30 years, it seems likely that 90-minute recordings only exist of matches that were shown live on TV, and the club won't hold the rights to those. But surely it can't be too difficult for the club to get hold of the Spurs FA Cup game, for instance.

There was a thread here a while back about "Tipsextra", a Swedish programme that showed live English football from 1967 onwards - decades before it was on British TV. Notts were on there several times, including our first ever televised match. I wonder if that footage still exists?

I'm not bothered either, my weekends off are where I relax and just sit back. No point wasting it.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

I haven't got much time for Facebook, the club should stream the games live for free via their site.

The posts are public, so you should be able to watch without actually being registered on Facebook. And I think they're on the YouTube page too.

Full games is a bit of a stretch, they should do extended highlights instead.

I'm not sure they will have footage from before 2010 without it being key moments.

"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

Thing is, this benefits fans who couldn't make the game or live overseas which is great.

I can't see them showing games Notts loses or plays poorly in, which makes it one sided. I will watch depending on the game, it's a nice idea but I am sure they won't show the home game against Barrow.

It suites me down just fine, as I can watch this. It gives me something to do.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

I will look out for their YouTube coverage then, thanks.

I didn't watch on Saturday. Sometimes it's great to see football again, at other times it's a painful reminder of what we're missing. I'm up for the next one though!

The full match replays are here to watch at a time of your choosing: https://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialNCFC

It's getting embarrassing now, away fans would be chanting "You only sing when you're winning."

I dare Notts to choose a game where the players did okay but lost.

I haven't watched any since the first, only bits and bobs since. I can't really commit to watching the same games as I've seen this season but I still think it's s good way to engage fans.
