For any of you really needing your Notts fix, the media team are showing entire "live" matches regularly on Facebook and YouTube. Spoiler: we tend to win! :D

The schedule is here:

It's actually a good idea IMO, I enjoyed talking to my friends as they watched the last live stream this past Saturday.

It wasn't a substitution for the real thing.

However, it did make up some of what I am missing right now. it's amazing how sport brings us together.

I might watch some, it would make more sense if they hosted classic games instead of ones seen this season.

I agree totally. I’ll watch them to keep the football in with some sort of normality, but I’d much prefer classic games.

I watched the Notts Vs Spurs at WH Lane for the FA Cup the other day. Boy that Don OR goal was sweet.
I'm cheering behind the goal like a lunatic, along with all the other Notts fans. Great day that was.

I thought about that too, but with recent games we can pretend it's live (I know that's sad). And for those of us who have been relying on radio and highlights, it's nice to see the players play an actual 90 minutes.

I'd like to see some older matches too, but there's a couple of issues there. Going back 20-30 years, it seems likely that 90-minute recordings only exist of matches that were shown live on TV, and the club won't hold the rights to those. But surely it can't be too difficult for the club to get hold of the Spurs FA Cup game, for instance.

There was a thread here a while back about "Tipsextra", a Swedish programme that showed live English football from 1967 onwards - decades before it was on British TV. Notts were on there several times, including our first ever televised match. I wonder if that footage still exists?

i only watch it briefly, it tends to get a little repetitive but i would love to see footage from previous seasons.

I'm not bothered either, my weekends off are where I relax and just sit back. No point wasting it.

I haven't got much time for Facebook, the club should stream the games live for free via their site.

I enjoyed the game Notts hosted live, it was enjoyable. It doesn't stop fans from loosely watching.

The posts are public, so you should be able to watch without actually being registered on Facebook. And I think they're on the YouTube page too.

It's not really my thing to watch full games, I would have to be super bored to sit down at a screen to watch a game I already know what happens.

Thing is, this benefits fans who couldn't make the game or live overseas which is great.

I can't see them showing games Notts loses or plays poorly in, which makes it one sided. I will watch depending on the game, it's a nice idea but I am sure they won't show the home game against Barrow.

It suites me down just fine, as I can watch this. It gives me something to do.

I have been enjoying it, classic games would be fun but doubt they have anything more than highlights.

I will look out for their YouTube coverage then, thanks.

I didn't watch on Saturday. Sometimes it's great to see football again, at other times it's a painful reminder of what we're missing. I'm up for the next one though!

Perhaps PON can share the streams on here and we can talk about the games?

The idea will soon tire out, it's a good one but like others I think classic games would have made more sense.

I would watch older games, but I see little point in watching any of the games played during this campaign.

It's getting embarrassing now, away fans would be chanting "You only sing when you're winning."

I dare Notts to choose a game where the players did okay but lost.

Posted

Would enjoy seeing some older games, if they did some of the season Nolan got Notts in the playoffs I think that would go down well.

I haven't watched any since the first, only bits and bobs since. I can't really commit to watching the same games as I've seen this season but I still think it's s good way to engage fans.
