can neal ardley make do with this notts squad?
or does he need to go out and make signings to fill the gaps that nobody seems to grasp?
my personal opinion is that we could make do and rebuild at the end of the season, i think the squad is good enough. they just need confidence and to enjoy their football. winning makes a huge difference as we saw after having 3 victories in a row. i just feel signing additional players will be creating more issues long term.
Similar to @ARLukomski's but with a little more light shining on it. An article released yesterday inlcuding an interview with Neal Ardley about the January transfer window.Β

He hints at the fact were without a current fit RB with Jamie Turley being forced to play out of position. He also goes on to say we have 5/6 CB's. This makes me feel as if he will look to offload a few defenders. Elliot Ward currently on a reported 3,500 a week with David Vaughan our highest earner at 5,000.Β
For me as much as I like Elliot Ward he seems a logical choice to offload. If we need to free up wages then he is a good choice to offload.Β
I disagree with peoples views on Vaughan I think he provides class and quality. We saw in both MK Dons and Mansfield that if given the opportunity he can rise to the occasion and provide some cut through passes to kill teams.Β
Tootle is another player that I think we should let go. He's constantly in and out the team due to injury and I don't think his head is in the right frame at the moment to be even playing football. I haven't really seen him fit all year.
My Outgoings are as follows: Tootle, Ward, Duffy, Jones, Hewitt,Β
Loans: Culverwell, Osbourne, Howes, Dunn, Etete
Cover: Hawkridge, Davies, Bird
Game 21 - Stags (A)
Team: Mansfield Town
Date: 08/12/18
Where: Field Mill
What line-up should Harry Kewell opt for? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

Very disappointed we didnβt ply like we did in the first half .. the first half we had some great chances even afterΒ we conceived heads didnβt go down kisrna very disappointing result and second halfΒ
Notts bottles these games, it's such a shame but at least Notts did better than last season!
Seen the 2nd goal several times now....... Did Fitz really dive out of the way of the shot???????......... As for the first goal iam sure Jones said to Hamilton...... "go on son slot it in the net"......... Neither are funny scenarios but that's how it looked to me........Β
So November wasnβt a great month for the magpies but which player would get your vote for the player of the month.?

Carrying on from question how many points can we achieve this December Iβve had a look back at last season.Β
We achieved 6 points out of a possible 15 and we faced some good strong teams.Β
A draw with Luton to start the month 1-1Β
Another draw with Grimsby 0-0
Followed by a 3-3Β draw with CambridgeΒ
Then a 4-1 win over morcombeΒ
Ending the month with a 1-0 defeat to Swindon.Β
At this minute I would happily take 6 points from this month.

Johnny Thomsen joined Randers FC in 2012, and since then he has picked up and down the sidelines of the Kronjian Superliga club.Β In this season he has been on the pitch in all 16 matches, and it is quite impressive by a player who rounds 37 right away.
However, it was not many months ago that it looked like the end of the right back.

Last season, Ricardo Moniz was at the head of Randers FC in a short transition, and the oxygenated Dutch really shared the waters.Β Johnny Thomsen was one of those who did not swing with the streetman Moniz.
In June, Thomsen signed a contract extension with Randers FC - he would not have done if Moniz remained in the club.
Read also:Β Big Gravgaard interview: People have seen me like a breakwife
- I had not extended if Moniz was still in the club.Β I also do not think he saw any future in me, even though I had some playing time.Β If Ricardo continued, it would have ended for my person, says Johnny Thomsen to tipsbladet.dk.
He describes that everything became better when Rasmus Bertelsen took over Ricardo Moniz in the spring and the good moves are still in this season under the direction of Thomas Thomasberg.
"There is peace.Β I have nothing to say about Ricardo, and I can easily see him fit in many places, but he is also a type that does not fit in anywhere - you can also just look at his CV.Β I do not think he fit into Randers FC.Β We needed peace of mind, and at least he did not get along, "says Thomsen.
HΓΈjrebacken finds that it was hard working days with Ricardo Moniz as manager.
"For my own sake, it was difficult to work under him because he came from another country and had nothing but life in football.Β This commitment was also his great strength, but in my opinion it did not fit into a squad, how many have wife and children and thus also many things in life other than football.
"He did not understand that part, and he could easily take our day off.Β It did not make much difference for him, but it may be challenging when you have family and other things in life, says Johnny Thomsen.
Following the resignation of Randers FC, Ricardo Moniz was employed as the coach of the Slovak club AS Trencin, but here he said his job a couple of weeks ago.Β The Dutchman in connection with his resignation accused the judges of Slovakia of being corrupt.Β

I don't want this to become another thread on how long Harry Kewell has left, however I am concerned my name might be changed again and that leaves me wondering if that does happen. Will I run out of the allocated amount of username changes?
There are no players I consider to be legends to me, so KingVaughan seems just as short lived as Kewell might. ????

Whats everyone's favourite chant? Just recently I have noticed that no creative ones are being sung anymore and with Mansfield coming up I think we should bring some of the old ones back.Β
At away games all we seem to sing is 'All Notts aren't We' and 'Nottingham Nottingham Nottingham'.
Β
Think we should be more creative and start making a few up but it's hard to get them going if no one wants to join in.Β

So Iβve noticed that Ross Fitzsimmons and Jamie Turley seem to have an understanding when defending.Β
In the last match, at meadow lane ,when Carlisle pressed us, Ross and Jamie would pass back to each other, remain calm and deal with the situation calmly and effective,ly.Β
Jamie like Ross was also very vocal in arranging the defence for set pieces and so forth. They had a trust in each other that defender and goal keeper need. The team work for me is a positive sign for defence that itβs improving.Β
I know that we have concededΒ 2 late goals i the 85th minute but thatβs not theirΒ fault. I genuinely believe they are doing theirΒ best for the team and the understanding and team work with them is helping.

Time to focus on the league, it can be a blessing to be out of a cup nobody seems to take seriously.
Only 2 - 0 is a decent return considering recent form andΒ heir first one was a fluke so all in all better than I would have expected.
Happy to be out of the cups anyway , itβs all about survival now and we can concentrate 100% on that.
I am not remotely bothered about Notts having lost, however I do feel annoyed that Sunderland fielded the squad that they did because it takes the p out of the competition. Is the money really going to make a massive difference to them?
what did you think of the new assistant managers interview? How do you feel Neil Cox came across??

So hopefully by the time that we play our first league match of December Neal Ardley would have been in charge of his first game so he should hopefully getting to grips with the squad.Β
He dose have a lot to do a mountain to climb some say but Iβm hoping he can achieve a few points in December.Β
So my question is how many points do you think Notts can earn during December.?
