At yesterday's game it sounded like a lot of Notts fans was green in envy with the purposed plans for the redevelopment of the City Ground.

I was surprised to see that a discussion hadn't been created on PON too.

What is the general census of "the neighbours" plans to further expand their stadium?

I am glad to see the plans have retained the traditional style of ground, it would have been very easy to bump the capacity up by including corner areas throughout each stand. In comparison to other stadium re-builds, I can't help but feel impressed even though this is Forest. The ground looks English, it looks better than most Premier League re-builds. The increase may be a small amount but surely it will be good for the city of Nottingham???

Really wanted him to return to Notts. A gem missed

So county are away at Cheltenham this Saturday who’s making the trip to cheer on the lads.?

Is anyone watching the game on BT Sports 2? Or following the coverage online.

It's not a classic so far.

Saturday's Fixtures:

Ipswich Town v Reading
Doncaster Rovers v Charlton Athletic
Shrewsbury Town v AFC Wimbledon
Forest Green Rovers v Lincoln City
Swindon Town v Colchester United

Mine
Brentford 2-0 QPR (Joker)
Ipswich Town 2-1 Reading
Doncaster Rovers 2-0 Charlton
Shrewsbury Town 1-0 AFC Wimbledon
Forest Green Rovers 1-2 Lincoln City
Swindon Town 1-1 Colchester

So I needed a laugh and decided to watch what ever happened to the likely lads.

English comedy with Rodney Bewes and James Bolam set in the 70s this is the spin of the likely lads in the 60s.

just one of the more older comedy’s  I love to watch makes me laugh puts a smile on my face.

Definitely shows how times has changed from then and now.

Any one else watched this or heard of the program.?

I have decided to do a three question mini quiz, however rather than it being for fun! I have decided to give this hand signed Jon Stead photo away.(frame not included)

For a chance to win, simply answer the following 3 questions.

The mini quiz closes on Friday at 6pm and the winner will be revealed later on the same day simply leave your answers below to be in with a chance.

So this morning Alan Hardy delivered his Christmas message to the fans of the magpies. Where he offered discounted tickets to the Cambridge both in the stands and hospitality. He also spoke of his desire to see meadow lane .

So on the 12th February 2019 at the at the Nottingham racecourse in association with the the pie (John Semak). A night with Charlie Palmer and mark Draper is shaping up to be a great night with storys from the two legends about there careers. Tickets  just £10 from John Semak (the pie) or from Pon.

A chance to hear story’s from both Notts county legends maybe a quick picture with them (time permitting).

Is anyone attending this event.?

An interesting game that members can play.

One member adds a music artist/band and the next member adds three songs they know or like from artist/band and also adds another musical artist for the next member to reply to.

Lets see how many musical artists we all know/like.

I will start with:

Nirvana

I am only 20 and can see how times have changed in the sport of football.

Manchester City went on to win the EFL Cup after beating Chelsea 5-3 on penalties.

Briefly before the shootout, it seemed as though Kepa (Chelsea's GK) refused to be subbed by manager Sarri as both Sarri & Caballero stood on in shock. Sarri was rightly fuming ...

I don't think this is a case of he's lost the dressing room but young players getting too big for their boots. He seemed injured throughout the second half, so he's obviously faked an injury for time wasting purposes for it then to backfire on him. What would you do? I can only imagine if someone like Brian Clough was still around and see how he would've dealt with the situation. Personally, I would fine him a weeks wages and drop him to the reserves, if he refused to play in those games then sack him under a breach of contract.

Game 35 - The Valiants (H)

Team: Port Vale

Date: 02/03/19

Where: Meadow Lane

What line-up should Neal Ardley opt for? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

  • I would take the draw but Cheltenham is now a must win game.

IF the effort is to rely on draws we are doomed as a club because Ardley needs to go for the points, instead of setting a team to park the bus.

On 02/03/2019 at 22:23, Chris said:

The fault today is the in-game tactics and midfield.

If there was more effort and smarter play from the midfield, Notts would have controlled the game. Port Vale looked useless in midfield, however they took  control and looked better as a result of that.

If Notts kept the ball down, passes it around and made good runs - it would have completely been a different game.

There was little to no service for the strikers.

Jon Stead should have been the first off, we needed pace and although Virgil Gomis was very poor. He did force the play, issue again was the fact that too many players played below average. Ryan Schpfield did well, most of his kicking was fine. Very few times did anyone other than CMS or Stead try to get it down.

    I agree
