We players like Ronaldo, Messi , Neymar have big egos but other players do as well. So my question is do players care/think more of the name on the back of the shirt rather than the front .. ie the badge.

Good morning one and all. I’ll start this off today, but unlikely I’ll be able to cover it for next few days as I’m away until Thursday.

To be fair, my day today is based on tomorrow! With me and a friends driving to Liverpool for the Labour Party Conference first thing it’ll be an early start as we have tickets to the first rally tomorrow at 11 with John McDonnell, shadow ex cheq.

Need to get a travel bag down from the loft, sort out copies of all the tickets for different things, timetable of all the other day etc...

Apologies if all my posts are based around politics for the next few days, but that’s where my focus will obviously be!  They aren’t are meant to be anti any other party, just keeping with the base of this type of thread, as obviously at a political conference, politics is what I’ll be doing all day for the next week!

Also need to wipe the computer as the mail app on windows 10 is totally screwed and Microsoft have been unable to solve and it seems to have taken root as it can’t be uninstalled now either so it leave it or wipe the whole bloody thing!

Are there any decent films in the cinema.?

So then guys and girls who would your starting 11 be against Northampton if you was the gaffer.

Windows 10 is a very good OS, I know people moan about it and myself is included but it's really powerful.

Even the 'home' edition has many great features and things are generally polished. I love how the Microsoft apps are linked together now, I have spent ages trying to sort the calendar app to sync between devices and today it's finally worked.

However, it's been a real hassle and quite time consuming.

Nonetheless it's a great feature to be in-built and will naturally help me organise myself. I'm curious how many PON members make use of all the great applications in-built into their OS and if any else uses the Windows 10 calendar app?

I rely on technology to do my roles with PON and elsewhere, I have seen how much of a difference applications make - not just on Windows computers but on my mobile.

However, I am starting to get a little peeved with big companies half baking their products.

This can be extended to consoles too actually, so many games are released with major bugs in them and updates seem to take forever to resolve the issues.

It might seem harsh to get annoyed with FREE applications, yet for Microsoft to still have major issues in Windows 10 is a major joke. The calendar application for example, my productivity will now be more organised but there's so many bugs!

You pay for your computer, the people who build it - pay Microsoft for a licence so you would expect better.

I mean they are getting smarter, as previous versions of their OS have been quite dated and have suffered a lack of foresight. I just don't expect big companies like them to leave silly bugs in, if I find something on PON - I'm straight onto it. If I or any dev's I know can fix it, I ask - then I report the bug and in a few weeks they tend to be fixed.

Big companies seem to care far less about these things.

So a draw may seem not good enough but for the first time this season I see some hope.. the additions to the defence for me helped massively and the other areas finally today started paying off. At times the defence was under siege but they handeled it well I know we conceived 3 goals but we didn’t loose. Stead Husin and enzio with Hemmings I think played well.

What do you think guys and girls?

So I was thinking today about comic books as a kid i used to like my question is why was it is your favourite comic book.

So I’ve just seen tomorrow nights Europa schedule with Arsenal and Chelsea now in that competition and Liverpool and spurs in the champions league. I remember when it was Arsenal and Chelsea in the champions league no messing around now it looks like the tides changed and it spurs and Liverpool in the champions league what a difference 4 years make .

What do you think is the biggest derby?

For me it's probably Lincoln vs Grimsby

The question says it all

So tonight is the turn of the Manchester clubs in the first game of the champions league.

Manchester United v young boys

Manchester City v Lyon

also Real start there defence of the trophy against Roma.

Are watching any of the games tonight maybe get a score prediction you lovely people.

So it may only have been a 3-3 draw at the weekend against Stevenage  and sources close to the club say that Harry wasn’t happy with the result.

But I think that we started to build positives the out field players played so well .. we didn’t give up we lead three times and played there best all season.

My question is can build on the positives and the momentum that we have started to build up.

It may be only one game but for me a A great game and the Northampton game I think may just be the first win of the season and I’d we build on it and put a good shift in.

Have you ever done a random act of kindness to anyone or been on the receiving end of one?

A friend recently went to a wedding and had to stay in a nearby hotel she went into the restaurant to have a meal and was a bit sad because she was dining out alone for the first time since her husband died. However she enjoyed a nice meal and asked for the bill, the waiter told her that her bill had been paid by a Canadian couple who had left the restaurant, apparently in Canada it’s an old tradition that if you see a women dining alone you pay the bill for her.

What a great story my friend was gobsmacked and couldn’t thank the couple because they had left but she is determined to pay their kindness on when she gets chance.

Saturday's Fixtures:

Millwall v Leeds United

Sheffield Wednesday v Stoke City

Fleetwood Town v Accrington Stanley

Peterborough United v Portsmouth

Carlisle United v Tranmere Rovers

Mansfield Town v Exeter City

So again this may have been asked im just wondering what match away day travel donyou use is it the official club mini bus or train maybe going with friends or maybe a another way.

I would like all PON members to wish @ARLukomski many happy returns! I personally hope he has a great birthday.

Have you done anything nice mate?

I really hope you enjoy the day and feel the warmth from those that know you. I am sure @Megs_a_million has something planned, well who's for some PON cake? ???? :birthday: ????

I’ll start this off today!

Today it’s back to work in the other job, childminding. My wife has two extra children today so I’m needed at the house to keep the basics running smoothly!

Don't mind this really, but I draw the line at changing nappies!

This afternoon another round of visiting residents. The area I am aiming to represent, Coxmoor in Kirkby in Ashfield, has hit the headlines recently due to a few certain characters and their causing Anti Social issues. One was given a keep away order by the courts on Sunday and was promptly seen back in the estate within hours. Fortunately the residents have kept reporting this to the police and he has been hit with a heavy fine on his rearrested. My part is to encourage the residents to keep reporting and to tread a fine line discussing the need to report and ensuring people know the police are doing their bit and the courts need to step up and do there’s rather than expecting someone to suddenly behave.

Please try to keep this constructive, as I can see the possible negativity from discussing Dan Jones but if people can refrain from being fair on Ross Fitzsimons surely the same can be done for Jones?

I prefer Cedric Evina as a defender, he looks solid and at the back and good going forward.

I feel his debut was acceptable, the first half would have had him in contention for me as the man of the match. He just slowed down and became a little out of it in the second half. I do think he will improve but I wonder how consistent he can be?

Does this leave Jones as the back up for the left back?

Would he suit best in a squad rotation role?

Or does his future seem destined to be moved into midfield or a centre back role? He's fast and has the height, he can win and defend. His weaknesses for me comes from the lack of cover and committing to attack.

Good morning PoN, it’s been a wild windy night here in the south west, what with the wind and the stomach ache I had it wasn’t a brilliant night for sleeping. I nearly always get stomach ache when I’ve had fish and chips the day before, when will I ever learn? They were lovely though.

Well today we are packing up the van once more and moving to another site in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire we are looking forward to looking round it’s somewhere we’ve never been but I’ve promised myself no fish and chips.

Have a great day everyone let us know what you’re up to.

Ok so call me insane I’m used to it but I feel the playoffs are not gone yet a few wins a bit of confidence and I think we could be back in the hunt. I know right now that’s bleak very bleak but while the games and points are there I believe...!! COYP

Time to confess, who's been fired from their job in the past here?

What was you fired for? Be brave and come forward if you have been made to walk the plank at work.

I know it is a bit early and @Magic magpie normally takes the lead on this.

However I am attending my first away game of the season at Sixfields so it would be interesting to know who will also be making the trip down south.

If so maybe a few of us can meet up for a beer. Ill be getting there about 1:30pm So I will have plenty of time.

Good morning PoN it’s cloudy here at the moment and it’s been a very mild night, I had to throw the covers off while sleeping in the campervan.

Today we are planning a walk town the beach to Burnham it’s about 3 miles so 6 round trip, hopefully we’ll find a nice pub for some lunch.

How is everyone today ? What are your plans?

he seems a development sort of player, so maybe karl henry could still be on the cards?

romario is 20 years old, hes been with leeds but has yet to make his debut for any club professionally. he was born bissau, guinea-bissau. what do you think about this?
