Much is made of Notts County fans being in possession of a malfunctioning wheelbarrow.

But that was in the past. Notts are a well oiled, slick, mean machine.

And if our current status is represented by the wheelbarrow, this is what it would look like.

The BBC has released their annual Price of Football survey (here's the full list if you fancy taking a look) and although there is some good news regarding ticket prices, trends still suggest that people are being turned off going to games.

The BBC Price of Football study has found the majority of ticket prices have been frozen or have fallen for a third year - yet a poll of young adult football fans suggests the cost is still putting them off.

This year BBC Sport asked more than 200 clubs across the United Kingdom for information on ticket prices and found almost two thirds of price categories have been reduced or remained the same across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

In a separate poll, we asked 1,000 18- to 24-year-old fans living in Britain how they engage with football, and four in five (82%) said the cost of tickets was an obstacle to them going to more matches.

The annual study found 135 clubs out of 190 in England, Scotland and Wales offer reduced prices for teenagers and young adults - separate from any student concessions - but 55% of the fans we polled said they had stopped going completely or go to fewer games because it was too expensive.

Young adult fans can save, on average, £146.94 on season tickets in the English Premier League and Football League, while in the top four divisions in Scotland the average saving on a season ticket is £143.66.

According to figures from the Premier League, young adult fans bought 4% of all season tickets this year. A report in 2015 suggested the average age of an adult supporter in the Premier League was 41.

And in terms of the specifics to Notts County, here's what the Nottingham Post has written:

It found that League Two has seen the biggest rise across all four divisions as clubs try to cope with the increasing financial demands.

But Notts say they are doing their best to buck the trend having reduced the cost of their highest priced pay-on-the-day ticket from £24 to £22 this term.

Fans could net themselves a further discount of £2 making it £20 if they purchased in advance online.

Commercial director Amanda Fletcher said: "One of our key aims this summer was to improve the supporter experience and we are confident we have done that without leaving them out of pocket.

"We have reduced ticket prices in the most popular area of the ground, while other League Two clubs' prices have risen, and we have vastly improved our retail and catering offerings while remaining competitively priced.

"Our replica shirts and leisure wear range, for example, have provided supporters with quality products at, as the survey shows, very fair prices and we will continue to strive to make supporting Notts County as fairly-priced as possible for our fans."

Plans for 95 new homes near Notts County’s football grounds have been delayed until next year for the plans to be revised.

Elevate, the company which is developing the area off Meadow Lane between Trent Bridge and the football ground, has submitted alterations to the application which was granted permission two years ago.

They originally intended to begin building this year, but following this change of plans they will now not start until March next year.

Any thoughts on this? Do you think the delay is better as there won't be an impact on matchdays, or is it a shame as any regeneration of the area can only be a good thing?

Over the last 20 years, Notts County have changed managers more times than any other team in the Premier League and Football League.

Since 1997, the Magpies have had 23 different permanent bosses at the helm, two ahead of Crystal Palace who are on 19, Press Association Sport has found.

What do you make of being top of this dubious table?

What an excellent reward we got for beating Brizzle, a home tie against Oxford City.  We couldn't have hoped for a much better draw than that, not only TV potential but a great chance to be in round 3. Not counting any chickens as they did win at Colchester at the weekend and the Salford City debacle still hurts, but overall an excellent draw.

What portable music device did you enjoy way back in the day?

I used to have a tape player that I listened to all the time when I was much younger, I used to record the radio on a tape and then listen to it on my tape player. I preferred tapes over CD's due to being able to carry a couple, whereas CD's you didn't really want to bring many or any spare with you (at least as a kid/young teen). When CD's became more mainstream I still preferred tapes, though the quality of music was much better on CD - the fact they'd skip became quite annoying.

Then Sony made their infamous 'Mini Disc Player Walkman', god I loved this! The music quality was awesome, the size of the mini discs was perfect.

Then came along MP3 Players (with higher storage) and then mobile phones took over completely.

Which did you enjoy back in the day? Have you ever owned a Mini Disc Player? What did you prefer to listen on the go with?

It's something I find very fascinating, although very often quite saddening - it is strangely I find myself interested in watching. I recall watching the FBI Files as a young teen on Channel 5 with @super_ram. Things like Jack Ripper, The Menendez brothers, D.B Cooper and many others - it probably stems from enjoy things like Murder She Wrote, Sherlock Holmes, Columbo.

Just curious if anyone on here watches these types of documentaries? YouTube can be a good source for watching 'em BTW.

Fourteen men who had played for Notts County served in the First World War.

Dick Allesbrook, Ted Bassett, Teddy Emberton, Billy Flint, Horace Henshall, Albert Iremonger, Bill Jennings, Ike Waterall, Alf West, Arthur Green, and Reuben Grice fought for their country and returned home.

Arthur Clamp, James Chalmers and Andrew Mosley tragically died while fighting for their country.

Okay, this can come from any league or period within the history of football and belong to any club (so it doesn't have to be Notts related) - I just want you to name three players that you like and a further 3 more that you don't! GO......

Like:

1: Georginio Wijnaldum - Just a very good player that is humble due to his roots.
2: Tony Adams - Childhood icon for me and one of the best English defenders ever.
3: Steven Gerrard - It's hard not to like Stevie, he's great around children and is a fantastic role model to all.

Don't Like:

1: Messi - I just can't stand him, very arrogant and his public image a way from football needs some major work.
2: Roy Keane - Absolute idiot, but I respect him for being honest. I just can't stand him and I think he's both overrated and underrated at the same time.
3: Joey Barton - It's very rarely that I don't feel like slapping Joey after reading his comments, the guys just a complete tool.

All 72 EFL clubs have agreed to implement three-year bans for supporters found using smoke bombs, flares and fireworks in a bid to “put an end to the dangerous use of pyrotechnics”.

The clubs have signed up to a new Chairman's Charter looking to stop the use of any pyrotechnics within EFL stadiums amid concerns for supporter safety.

Fans could face consequences if they attempt to take a banned item into a ground or if they are found to have discharged pyrotechnics within a stadium.

Notts County have been knocked out of the EFL Trophy thanks to last night's 2-1 defeat at Lincoln.

And I'm glad. Obviously I don't like to see Notts lose any game, but being knocked out of that farcical competition is a massive relief.
