Former forward Mick Vinter has sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 65.

He joined notts in 1971 and the magpies were his first professional team. Mick left Notts in 1979 but continued to live in nottingham as a coach when he retired as a player.

Mick always came across as a humble person, I am aware he had his problems but whenever I had the chance to speak to him - his eyes would light up when the conversation turned to Notts.

He would speak highly about those he played alongside and, his memories of Jimmy Sirrel would make people laugh if you heard them.

It's very saddening, I saw the news filter out last night but needed to see something official.

Rest in Peace Mick Vinter.

A field where dreams become reality.

Rest in Peace Mick Vinter.

I am sure older Notts fans will be feeling down about losing one of our own.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

Has the funeral details been shared yet?

I can't say I have seen any public information, it might be a private funeral though.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!
