I've just been called by a very bubbly young lady who was definitely English and very friendly, she knew my name and address and said that the insurance on our washing machine is due to run out, I said we hadn't got insurance on our washing machine as it was at least 20 years old, it was obviously some kind of scam so I hung up immediately.

On looking on line this scam is doing the rounds and catching some people out and they are giving their bank details and being fleeced.

How does that girl sleep at night? Has she got elderly parents/grandparents? She obviously knows that she is taking money from people by deception, how can she do it? The people who fall for this will be the elderly and vulnerable it makes my blood boil. 

Please be aware and make your elderly relatives and neighbours aware.

Picture the scene we were camping on the banks of the Thames, I was fishing in a secluded little bay with reeds and foliage all around, quietly sitting there I suddenly heard a rustling in the undergrowth, to my amazement an otter suddenly appeared at the side of me, I couldn’t believe my eyes, stupidly, instead of sitting perfectly still, I said “hello” and it took one look at me and scooted off back from where it came never to be seen again. I don’t know what I was thinking it was hardly going to engage in conversation and say “hello how are you isn’t it a lovely day”. 

Thats my story anyone else got one?

I read the book for A Level many moons ago and the first season used up most of the available written story, so applause for the writing team to move forwards on their own with new scripts (Even if Margaret Atwood did chip in and help!)
