Just based on this season so far, in 3 categories:
Starting 11: Stead and Forte
Subs: Thompson, Audel, Campbell, Richards, Loach, O'Connor, Milsom, Laing.
Never ever again (please): Hollis, Duffy, Dickinson, Hewitt, Collin, Oliver, Burke, Atkinson, Rodman...
I can't judge some players such as Aborah, as I haven't seen enough of them this season

This is really dire stuff, I hope we as fans can play our part - we need to try to do something.
Yes its on the field that matters, plus Hardy needs to pull several quality rabbits out of his hat but we can either melt (and sink) or sink fighting. There's no doubt the players are awful and lack a spine to motivate them. This result should convince enough people that we are in major trouble.

i think we've dug through the bottom of the barrel and are now 6 ft underneath it.

Could have been 6 or 7 if Morecambe had kept 11 men on the pitch. Drew the second half against 10 men. Woeful doesn't begin to describe it. This setup deserves the most defeats record. Their futility is amazing.

I'm not sure about this, but then it might only be for 1 game.

Looks like the talk about Rodders leaving was true. Rodders has been released.
On the OS now with a cursory statement: http://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/notts-county-alex-rodman-released-contract-3502654.aspx

Once the HMRC tax bills paid and the embargo lifted, can anyone name any constructive and realistic signings that we could make?
I must say, I think we will be relying on the loan market myself, but provided these players have experience or are good enough - I have no complaints but we need some re-enforcements. I'm curious if anyone here can suggest any players whom they feel could help fight the battle, if we could capture their services.
Positions for me would be GK, CB x2, Winger and ST.

Bbcrns tweeted that Lincoln City have rebuffed an approach from NCFC for there manager . Thoughts please

Hi everyone hope your all well.
New to the board so go easy please. Originally from Edinburgh (Hearts fan) but living in Cumbria for the last 16 years.
I'm not that close to Carlisle but go along when I can with my lads and watch Utd, yes I'm a glutton for punishment.
Hope to get to a few Notts games in the North in the news season and also make it down to ML.
Maybe catch up with a few of you.
Cheers

We need this man back pronto. Would love to see the faces of our players if he walked in the dressing room.
He took no prisoners the first time and he wouldn't this time.
-
I really hope we don't sack him, lets get him two big strapping centre halves and players who want to play for the club and then see where we sit.
The whole club is surrounded in apathy at the minute and we need to stick with strong personalities like John.

A very insightful article on Inside World Football about the Munto era at Notts County - just who was Russell King, aka "Voldemort"?
If you've got a spare 10-15 minutes it's really interesting, and you realise just how close he came to pulling it off (and in turn, Notts could easily have gone under).

Alan Hardy has said the lady pies are very much part of his plans, I don't watch them myself but i know some will be happy to hear they are safe

1. Should he remain as our manager?
-
Yes, he needs time.7
-
Of course, at least until the takeover is complete.4
-
Give him until the end of the January transfer window, then review his position.1
-
Honestly, I'm torn so I am sitting on the fence with this.1
-
No, he needs to go now - enough is enough.1

I am getting and seeing a lot more comments about John Sheridan's tenure as the manager of Notts.
Today's result would seem like the majority have decided enough is enough, however I must still make it clear that I believe this would be a huge mistake - yet this is just my personal opinion. I am not sure how we can replace him whilst the takeover hasn't been complete and I do feel this would make a massive difference.
As would the January transfer window, its clear Sheridan won't give some players game time - for whatever reason this may be. He might be able to shift the balance with 3-4 players in and several so-called professionals out.
Regardless, have you say, discuss and vote!

- Cambridgeshire
- Hampshire
- Cheshire
- Northumbria
- Metropolitan
- Police Scotland
- Avon and Somerset
- Essex

How long before we find out that it is very club in every police area?
Is there no end to football's degredation?
-
To go to Eastleigh. Interesting. They must have made him a good offer.
