Last Tuesday non of the grey topped bins in our close were emptied.I left it Wednesday but on last Thursday I rang up to report the non collection.I was assured by the chappie at the other end of the phone that the bins would ,in fact, be emptied later that day. This morning(Monday)all the bins in our close were still waiting to be emptied, so I rang up again. This time I was told that it usually takes up to 3 working days for a missed collection to be carried out.On asking why I was promised the bins would be emptied last Thursday I just received a vague 'I don't know'. When I pressed the chap for a new collection date he told me Tuesday.I then told him that our green bins are due for collection then. His response to this was that both bins would probably be emptied at the same time. This begs the question-why bother separating items into different bins in the first place if they are being emptied together into the same collection vehicle ? Not impressed !

If I recall correctly, when we last played Doncaster they wasn't performing all that well - whereas now they've completely turned things around. I do recall comments about us being able to win them, however I think Tuesday will be much harder than the last time round (as again, if I recall right we was looking quite comfortable then).
I haven't seen how they play, so I can't really comment on that but I would imagine more pressure would be on them to win.
Yes, I know this sounds odd because we are still floating in dangerous water but they could be overturned at the top - something that just adds to the occasion. I think we should set ourselves up similar to as we did against Plymouth.
I'm not disheartened by the result, I don't think 3-1 reflects the work rate or performance of Notts.
I didn't listen to the game, I was unfortunately busy but I did keep checking the score every so often. I was pleased when I saw Notts lead 1-0, but later I noticed it was 1-2 to them and then 1-3. I read a lot of outraged comments about our disallowed goal, not even seen the highlights yet but Alan Hardy has been quick to give his two pennies worth on the decision. From all of what I have read it sounds like the officials ruined the game but no point crying over spilled milk.
Lets bounce back and focus on Sunday!
not happy about the decision to disallow a perfectly good goal but not worried.
we lost a game where notts played very well, so that gives me hope.

Rob Milsom should have taken the penalty, great left foot.
Hopefully he'll get the next one
How classy was that finish from Ameobi? Haven't seen such an assured finish from a Notts striker since Hughes was at the club.

The Hartlepool fans seemed to have us down as an easy win, "there for the taking", etc. If we were playing an opponent that had picked up 17 points in the previous 10 games I'd give them a bit more respect than that, regardless of league position.
Why should those of us who can't attend games have to keep paying for this absolute rubbish service.
When you report a problem they try all they can to blame it on you then when they realise they can't, they just ignore your emails.
All i've had today is 10 minutes of crackly interference followed by complete silence, i've tried different devices, the next door neighbours wifi all to no avail.

"It's Round and It's White" believes that, because Nottingham Forest and Notts County have been struggling in the last few years, they should just "unite".
And what name is given to this weird hybrid monstrosity?
"Nottinghamshire City FC".
If you're going to read just one ridiculous article today, make it this one.

Collin 6.5 – mainly routine saves, but commanded his area well.
Tootle 6.5 – still our best option at right back, did well.
Duffy 6 – done for pace once or twice, but generally defended well.
Hollis 7 – won nearly every challenge, cleared his lines, unlucky for the OG.
Bola 6.5 – put under pressure in the first half, but some excellent forward play.
Grant 7* - an assist and a stunning goal, gives us the creativity and goal threat we need in midfield.
Hewitt 6.5 – got stuck in and helped us just about win the midfield battle.
Milsom 6.5 – competed well, gives us shape and stability in central midfield.
Yeates 6 – stuck to his task and was generally ok.
Forte 6 – kept their defence busy but not much goal threat.
Ameobi 6.5 – has become a key player, scares defenders a bit and good to see him score after his poor penalty.
Campbell (T) 5.5 – didn’t do a lot when he came on.
Smith n/a
Campbell (A) n/a
Another good, solid team performance which just about deserved the 3 points. No-one was brilliant, but no-one was poor. Great to see a big crowd (including a good following from Hartlepool) there to see the win. Hopefully a big step towards safety, nice to see the 8 point gap restored.

Do you like flying? I thought PON could do with some more discussions being started, so I hope other members will amuse me with their opinions.
I was just listening to the radio and this was being discussed. Supposedly its very common for people who fear heights to not mind flying, I myself dislike heights, but I do not mind flying. I would like to do some more travelling and anyone who has visited America from the UK will know just how long the flight can be.
Out of interest what airports have you used and what nations have you visited?

There's no denying that the internet is apart of my daily life, it has been ever since my brother first got a computer and since then it's just involve into a massive aspect for everyone - yet despite this there are some who remain grounded to life in the real world. I am very curious to see what others on PON consider their usage to be.
Is it a pastime for you? i.e something to do when your bored.
Is it an interest? i.e do you only use the internet to source information, news and things of this kind.
Is it apart of your daily life? i.e are you always on social media, online communities or doing something on the internet - whereby without you may end up lost?
I guess to some degree we are all each of the three but my mine one would be apart of 'daily life'. How about you?

Every season, most Premier League clubs sack their managers out of fear of going down. Yesterday I stumbled across an interesting article on how this can be solved: promote and relegate more teams.
Obviously relegating 10 teams would be excessive, but six would be possible. At the moment, struggling top flight clubs are terrified of the drop. So they sack their managers and coaching teams every season. There can't be any question of long-term planning in a climate like that, nor of developing their own young players - experienced, "complete" players from other clubs are the order of the day. Relegating more teams could help take the stigma away from relegation, while it would be easier to win promotion too. Clubs would be more willing to stick with a manager and a plan through relegation as it would no longer be the massive set-back it is today.
What do you all think? And would it be workable further down too?

With Notts County captain Michael O'Connor still suspended, Kevin Nolan could make his first start for the club as a player by lining up in midfield against Hartlepool United.
Would you like to see him don the shirt? Or should he stick to leading things from the touchline?

Alan Hardy confirmed on Tuesday that Notts County season ticket renewals would be frozen in price until April 30.
This decision has polarised supporters - some applauded Alan Hardy for keeping his word on incentives for existing ST holders, while others complained about the ensuing price increase (which he also confirmed on Twitter), or the deadline being too soon.
Let's put it out to you guys - what do you think?

Would you like to see Notts working with a parent club? Enabling us to get some better youngsters or reserve players into the club.
Hardy recently tweeted that he had challenged the academy to get some higher profile games, which they achieved but I would like to see us networking better with other clubs. Get some quality in and see if this can encourage the crop of talent we have.

- Collin - 3.5 I get really annoyed at his woeful distribution when he has the opportunity to release the ball quickly. Bola, time and time again made himself available to receive but Collin couldn't spot an opportunity to relieve the pressure. His general positioning as a keeper is still questionable. Never takes the responsibility to shout instructions when the central defenders needed helping
- Clackstone 2.5 Fell far short of what was expected. Out jumped for their first. Nolan should have taken him off a half time. What was worrying, is that Bola was taken off when ALL the problems were down Clackstone's sideBooked at 59min2
- Hewitt 5 Concentration still wanders at times.
- Hollis 6 MoTM Easy choice today. Not brilliant but did OK
- Bola 5 Not at his best but shouldn't have been subbed. Substituted for
- Thompson 5 Better 2nd half when moved into the centre. Despite his work rate, still cannot influence the game through creative passing
- Grant 4 Went missing for long periods today
- Milsom 4 Way below par for his recent performances. There was a real collective failure to compete for the second ball
- Yeates 4 Shallow compared to Mcanuff's performance for Stevenage...Why couldn't we get McAnuff last summer?Substituted fo
- Ameobi 4 denied by good save from Day. Never got any decent service. Over hit cross from Clackstone removed his one real chance 2nd half
- Stead 4 Not a good day at the office. Inability of our midfield to construct anything cohesively didn't help. Missed a good chance in the 1st half firing wide when cutting inside.

We would like to play a football match (5 vs 5) against some fans. Our age is between 35 and 43, in no good condition, some played football, some drunk too much :-)
If it 's possible on saturday 11/03/17 around 11:00. Or Sunday 12/03/17 around 16:00.
