I'm hopeless with films... I drive my partner insane with my inability to spot actors, so I am in no doubt your quiz will be wasted on me.  She loves the cinema, so has to put up with it alot!

However, my favourite film is a similar question to your favourite song... the answer is 'it depends'.

Best overall film has to be Shawshank Redemption

Most moving I think is Boys N Da Hood

Most confusing Asteroid City - I came out not knowing what the hell I had just seen (but I'm told that is standard for Wes Anderson)

Funniest there are many... but the Cornetto Trilogy is good.

But, the after writing all that... Monty Python and the Holy Grail has to be my favourite as I have watched it so many times!

The Goonies is one of my all-time favourite films, Day of the Dead (original) and the animated Transformers film from the year before my birth.

There's so many more that I could add, but my favourite would be between these.

everyone who has not replied, you lot are boring! :rollonfloorlaughing:

here is your chance to do something fun and you dont comment, its disappointing. :( ????

my favourite film is 1981s time bandits.

its always been one of the films i would look forward to seeing when it was shown on tv, its a good family film that keeps you wanting to watch. when i was younger, i did not know it was directed by a member of the monty python. it does have some funny parts in it though, which i do like the life of brian and other films of montys.

I’m not really a film buff, I’m like @Ohh Tommy Johnson I can never remember actors or films I’ve seen so I don’t think I’ll do well in this quiz.

One that does stand out is The Green Mile, I found it very moving. Also at Christmas we always watch Scrooge the Musical. Whilst on holiday this week we watched Memoirs of a Geisha, we had read the book and the film was equally good.

I haven't been to the flics (Cinema to most of you) for over 40 years ,so the only films I watch are on TV.My go to channel is Talking Pictures which specialises in older films and older programmes .I do watch the more recent films on other channels but I tend to lose interest .I'll have to have a think  now.As Arnie said 'I'll be back!' later

As for films, I don’t have a particular favourite as my preferences vary depending on my mood. I’m quite fond of most Pixar and Dreamworks animations, as I tend not to enjoy some of the more serious genres like horror. While I can watch them and find some enjoyable, I generally prefer content that is more family-oriented. Star Wars could potentially be one of my favourites. Interestingly, I actually prefer the films that were released after the original trilogy.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

I wouldn’t classify myself as a film enthusiast, but I can appreciate most genres. My favourite actors are Nicholas Cage and Johnny Depp, both of whom are distinct yet excellent character actors.

Secret Window is a very interesting film, as is Memento.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
