How rude is the Navi these days?

I was standing in the beer garden with a few older relatives of mine, when this lanky smartly dressed guy demanded to see my ID. Of course, I shown him. It was actually myself who got the round in, which I did explain.

For the following half hour before we made our way to the game, I was constantly being watched by bar staff and the same lanky guy who I believe might be a manager.

I won't be drinking there again, it takes ages to be served any way and the staff are just rude.

Loads, and loads of fans are complaining to me.

They seem very unreasonable and unpleasant now, I've had a couple of issues. When I tried to help John who runs The Pie, I had a box of his fanzine thrown at me. If I left them, they wouldn't store them safely and I risked letting him down by people being able to just take a copy. I ended up taking a large box and, attempted to sell the majority. I did what I could, I did explain that it's not mine and, they just didn't care.

Recently @magpiejueΒ raised some concerns.

Earlier, I had three members of their staff looking and stirring at me. I wouldn't let them bother me, yet it did make me feel uncomfortable. I don't find the Navi to be all that professional, they've wasted my time in the past and gone against an agreement I struck with them.

I would rather drink and give my custom to the Embankment Pub - but I do like doing my rounds and speaking with people who unfortunately frequent the Navi.

I haven't had a drink in the Navi for years, mostly because it is busy. The Embankment is a much nicer place, their meals are good too.

I mostly go in the Broken Wheelbarrow to support the club.

The Navi wouldn't thrive without loyal Notts fans.

To me its never really had the impression of an inviting pub, you get stared at as soon as you walk through the door and the staff at the bar are generally rude.

I don't drink before a game but I have always felt the Navi was a pub trapped in a sardine can.

Once The Embankment re-opened I haven't been back, I don't drink much before games and I rarely go for one before the match.

If I drink, I will do it at the Embankment or Broken Wheelbarrow.

I have nothing against the Navi but its too small.

I don't pay any attention to the staff, but they do seem to throw daggers by stirring and snooping. Its the company you spend drinking with that makes it a place to be, not the price or offers.

I could write a lot about the place, but mum tells me to keep my own council, so i'll just say, recently i'veΒ  not been too happy with the place.Β

I have never had any problems, I get served fine.

its too busy for me, i dont like small busy pubs.

I only frequent the Embankment these days, the Navi has always been a difficult pub to get served in.

I don't drink obviously, I have been in the Broken Wheelbarrow and the person on the door is very friendly.

Never been in the Navigation.

I only have one, or two pints and I have never had any issues at all.

Profits might be down, but that doesn’t excuse paranoia or actual bad customer service.

I've never had an issue either, the staff don't speak as much as they once did. The Navi used to be very friendly, now it just seems like a typical business.

It could just be a sign of the time, but I don't have any issues in the Navi. I do prefer The Embankment.

Only real problem with the Navi is that the waiting times pre and post match are horrendous.Β  Although I appreciate that they can't employ too many staff for an hour or so before and after the match, they could at least train/instruct the staff to pay attention to who is to be served next on the part of the bar they are responsible for. It's a lottery going up there when it's rammed, you can come away in 5 minutes or it could be 30, depending on who the bar people deem is next.Β

Nobody goes in the beer garden when it’s cold, they had an massive umbrella that turned inside out or would come crashing down. They need something more secure, as allowing customers go out regardless of rain or wind, would reduce the jammed pub.

They need heaters outside, and proper cover.

Otherwise, I have no issue.
