I hear those things are awfully loud.

They arnt loud, but very slow and take ages to get anywhere. They also break down alot.

This would make it easier on the transport on match days, the buses are a nightmare.

a lot of us from clifton do catch the tram into notts, then walk to the ground so this would make the trip home better. i hope they put a night tram on especially for sport games so that it gets people home or into town quicker.

This would be nice! The disruption and work could be painful at first tho.

This would make it easier for fans to get to and from games, but it could impact traffic in the city centre due to pre-existing changes. I guess we have to wait and see.

Sounds like a sensible idea to extend the tram network, if it goes along the embankment it would miss a lot of traffic.

Trams are great, and it would be great to have them coming straight to the ground. I've had very positive experiences of this in Germany - after the match they're all waiting outside the ground, waiting to take everyone home. They really do keep loads of cars off the road. It's incredibly expensive to build a tram network, but once it's in place you won't look back.

It makes a lot of sense to keep the city moving, but Nottingham City did best before they merged with others.

It does make sense but i also can see alot of issues with it as it currently breaks down alot creating a big backlog of trams as it is.

It's about time they expanded to areas where it would be wanted and used, Beeston folk moan about it but enjoy using the tram. As a result development has been big there and this could have a lot of benefits once finished.

It sounds a good thing but they need to improve the breakdowns and service, no doubt it will push the prices up too.

If it improves transport across the city and on match days, it would safe. Fans could choose to use a park and ride scheme instead of getting stuck in traffic.

It doesn't really interest me, I wouldn't use the service as I have no need and would prefer other means of public transport.

Like @liampie I too use the Clifton P&R... Cheaper too when using the "Arena" ticket option,  than the usual tram prices.

Certainly, extension to Racecourse P&R would make sense...with onward connection to Gedling could use the old railway line to make it cheaper to build.

One could argue the case to put a tram along the abandoned line of the Nottingham Suburban Railway

I would think about using it, but not totally convinced. I have used the tram in from Hucknall before, but to be honest it was a pain having to get off at the station and still be left with a fair walk to the ground, especially when my seat is at the opposite end.

It's still easier for me to drive in and park.

If it makes getting from Clifton to Meadow Lane, I am all for it. I have to get off near the market square and then walk to get the bus to Notts.

If the council want it to happen, nobody can change it. I don't use the trams, I drive and live near London.

It has no desire for me, but nobody wanted the tram service to go through Beeston and it went ahead.

It's only a matter of time before Nottingham has to get with on par with every major city in this country, the network extension can only be a good thing.

These types of improvements I am all for, provided it's built without costing the residents much more.

I know they claim they get some of the money from businesses but in truth, it tends to come from us because they ask for money for improvements of their own. It should come from the profit more than anything, yet I feel this will improve things.

I hope they put specials on during games and help fans to get home quicker.
