What now for PON?

Featured Replies

Get the content out that we can. Continue with the player in focus series and up the content for the season in focus.

Got to stick together even if there's not much we can do about the situations on the pitch.

We'll have to fill the void somehow. Retrospective pieces, moral support?

Sooner or later, the restrictions will be eased and football will break out again somewhere in the world. If it does, maybe we can adopt a foreign team or something? I can see myself getting very bored.

This is a biggie!

As I've just said in a DM to @Chrisprivately...

Firstly, the community (us) will go very quiet over the next few months. This is no reflection on Chris or the other mods/admins. This is a good site for the Notts supporters to visit. Football will disappear down a long line of concerns over the next period of time. But, it will come back at some point. Let's hope fans pick up where they left off.

Articles etc...would be good if people have the spare time sat at home. Things like memories of Notts in a more detailed post rather than short forum posts.

But it is inevitable it will slow right down. Use the board to help each other. Health has two sides. Physical and mental. The latter being just as important over the coming months as people are stuck in their homes, wondering how they'll cope financially, when they'll be ok to resume normal life and see loved ones again. This is where the board can help. Let  people know you care. Let them know that conversations can take place here in a safe space. No one should be criticized going forward for airing their views, regardless how contrasting they are. Everyone will go through hardship over the next 12 weeks. No doubt about it. But we need to be there to support each other.

Rally call over!

I actually feel it gives me a bit more time just to find myself, I know PON is fine and I don’t press like I once did.

The past month has been a weird one, I’m fine but find things a bit difficult.

Hence why I have taken time off here, something I have never done before and, off social media.

I’m dedicated to vision of representing Notts and, keeping fans together. Honestly, I’m not concerned. This season was about consolidating on the terrible campaign before and our community has grown stronger for that reason.

I’m quite happy to take more time to find a balance in my life, PON isn’t about me, it’s about us and I know people will come back when it’s right for them.

A field where dreams become reality.

i think fans will welcome a distraction from what is happening, we will still have features and things to discuss.

it might be slow some days but i am confident not much will change, we are a positive minded group of fans who enjoy various things. if we get to know each other a little better with general discussions this could fill in the void at times.

im right behind pon, when i get back from work i will be doing whatever i can to help.

I think most Notts fans are great with sticking with things, and understand that the community will need a little more help than normal with Notts being quiet. Football as a whole needs this break, if it doesn't, then the league could be handled differently but as for PON provided people post. There won't be an issue, if it goes slow, it's to be expected.

We can do our parts when possible.

We will all need our PON fix from time to time so any news/comment no matter how trivial it may seem will keep us going.

keep it up PON we need you, especially in these lean football times.

I enjoy reading PON, I read almost daily but I don't always post due to time restraints. I think everyone has to do their part to ensure no areas of their community are affected by the lack of football.

It's good to have a site like PON, I will continue to post and start discussions on a regular basis. If not Notts related, I will try to find something others would join in with.

I have seen PON grow and flourish, I have witnessed setbacks but regardless the content is very good. I also like the website, it's easy to use and I have plenty of time for it.

PON is creative enough to handle the this, I would say big enough too. Key would be to ensure good content is posted throughout the site.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

Don McLean

The site goes on, there's stuff we can do and plenty to discuss.

If people are self isolating and not going out, I think PON could be a great place for people to invest their time a little. It's what I am doing.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!
