Based on /10. Brilliant 3-1 win over a strong free scoring Crawley.
Fitzsimmons 7/10 - Good saves made and calmed the game down when Crawley were looking strong. Another convincing performance that shows he isΒ putting his old woes behind him.
Tootle 6/10 - Good runs made and covered well with their quick winger. Improved performance.
Turley 6/10 - I do like Brisely but I can't help but think that Turley has been the difference in the defence. He is not afraid to shout and command and is a real hustle and bustle type of player in the defence. Should keep his place.
Ward 6/10 - Again quality, experience showed at times and dealt with Ollie Palmer well, he was kept quiet most of the game.
Evina 5/10 - Went pretty quiet throughout the game, popped up sometimes with the odd deadly ball into the box but apart from that didn't see much of him.
Boldewjin 7/10 - Rapid pace and Crawley couldn't do anything about him. Simply couldn't defend him today. Just had no real scoring opportunity.
Milsom 3/10 - Silly red card! He played OK but the red card was deserved and can't help but think he has let himself and the team down. Left them with a lot of work to do.
Hewitt 7/10 - He has silenced the doubters especially me. Played well and he often pops up in the oppositions area without being detected which can be dangerous for them. He did well tonight and deserves a beer or two.
Alessandra 6/10 - Effort was 100% tonight, his first instinct is to pass which is good but also when he gets right in front of goal I feel sometimes he is afraid to pull the trigger. Maybe should work on his shooting a bit more to boost his confidence as I think he has a right cannon on him sometimes.
Stead 6.5/10 - I think he will struggle at Macclesfield, he looks good but the poor lad needs a rest I think, hes gone by 60 minutes. Took his goal superbly and glad he got the goal, he is a real fans favourite at the moment but give the poor lad a rest.Β
Hemmings 7/10 - Adapted to RM a few times and defended well when required. Stayed calm and didn't fluff his chance to take his goal. His is playing well and Is just the striker we need. Lost the ball a few times though which was disappointing the fact he gave it away so cheaply but I guess that is league two for you.

Let me know your ratings down below and if you agree or disagree with mine.Β
So yesterday County got there first three points of the season against Crewe at meadow lane.
But the phrase Game if two halfβs has to be said the first half wasnβt fantastic we scored in the first 10 mins (4 minutes in actually) but we slowly lost momentum but held on for half time.Β
Then the second half attacking the kop they looked like the second half side I have watched last season. As theyΒ was like a team possessed they played hard in attack they look good in defence it was like Harry had changed all 11 players at half time.Β
It was unbelievable after 3/4 attempts we found the secondΒ goal and from there we continued to attack we didnβt slow down infact we looked to find a third which unfortunately we didnβt get but we did enough to earn the 3 points.
Just recently Iβve been thinking about players and managers.. the one thing Iβve come toΒ is that players have job security in comparisonΒ to a coach or a manger.
we see it all the time if a team performs poorly itβs the gaffer than suffers by being sacked.
Β where players donβt get sacked maybe released at the end of the season .. but if they perform poor under one manager they get a second chance with the new manager.
Am i the only one who thinks this isnβt right and that why should players almost be guaranteed a job and managers are sacked.
whats your thoughts guys on this please?

Max Culverwell looks awful ????Β
notts was not totally out classed but max looks a little like fitzsimons did. he might have been nervous.
Excellent goal by Notts, it was well taken and I don't think they was outclassed all that much from the highlights.
Does some "fans" selectively support the club and certain players?
I have seen players who have been rightfully scrutinised for their performances and players who have done well, yet not quite fitted in with the previous managers tactics get harsh criticism which does seem unfair. I get that people see things differently and that some with have their favourites, I just feel that there are a minority of fans that are quite selective with their support.
This does extend to the club itself, it seems when Notts are winning everyone wants to know but they soon disappear when it's tough.

Good morning itβs a cloudy, dry, mild morning here, Iβm feeling slightly better, yesterday I had a bad day feeling really rough with this cold today Iβm hoping it will improve further.
We had the Grandsons last night and I showed them the goals from Tuesday nightβs game they were very impressed. George went to scouts and they had a trip to an observatory, he came back very excited because he saw Saturnβs rings through the telescope.
Today Iβm looking forward to my new iPhone to be delivered, my iPhone 5s model is on the way out and iPhone 6 are coming down in price so I got one from giffgaff, Β£299 it was the cheapest I could find my provider Virgin wanted over Β£400. Although the phone will be unlocked I am going to move to giffgaff who seem to have some good data packages.
Whats everyone doing today? Let us know, letβs keep the chat flowing.
So United are well truly in the Jose 3rd season glitch.
After a Carabao cup exit to Derby and the defeat to West Ham and the training ground and dressing room bust up with Paul Pogba is it time for Jose to go .? Would you sack him ?Β

Well not a bad match day 2 in the ChampionsΒ league ....Β
Manchester United continude there woeful season as they drew 0-0 with Valencia giving them 4 points at the end of match day 2.
Manchester City hadΒ to come from 1-0 downΒ against Hoffenhaim to claim a 2-1 and get there 1st win and 3 points of the champions league campaign.
A spirited fight from Spurs was not enough as they fell to a 4-2 defeat against Barcelona as Messi sparkled and left Spurs winless in there opening two games with 0 pointsΒ
Liverpool fell to a late 90th minute goal as insigne score a dramatic 90th minute brace toΒ deny Liverpool there second champions league win and leave them on 3 points
Β
Any oneΒ watch any of the games ?Β

As Milsom will now be serving a 3 match ban, that opens up a spot in our midfield and we're not exactly short of options!
Vaughan, Husin, Kellet, Crawford and Patching will all be vying to take the spot.
Personally I'd go with Vaughan, he's very skilful and whilst no longer the most energetic I think Hewitt's mobility can help offset that. I am intrigued by Crawford though, having come through at non-league level I think he could cope with the physicality of League 2 football.
So who would you like to see partner Hewitt? Or would you pick a different pairing altogether?

Notts always play better when I'm not watching. So, as I've started to suspect that I am actually to blame for our poor start to the season, I decided to go out and buy a sofa on Saturday instead of watching the match on iPlayer. Hey presto, our first win! Obviously this win was due to my failure to watch rather than things like the players, etc.
Obviously I can't do this every matchday as sofas are expensive (although I'm open to donations if anyone wishes to help). However, for those of you who are into betting, please note that I will also miss next weekend's match at Macclesfield...

Good morning PoN, Iβm feeling really rough this morning with a right stonking cold, been awake most of the night because I canβt breath through my nose and itβs streaming, Iβm also coughing, sneezingΒ and feel achey, maybe I should have has a flu jab.
I wonβt be doing much today although we are due to be looking after our two grandsons after school and tonight, I just feel like staying in bed.

Game 11 - Red Devils (H)

The difference between now and when Harry Kewell first took over is strikingly different, you wouldn't believe its the same time. It reminds me of when Kevin Nolan first came to Notts. I just hope Kewell keeps thinking but the 3-1 win was impressive.
I felt sorry for Ross Fitzsimons for conceding the goal.
Bloody fantastic match both halfβs they played with passion desire and wanting it .. so impressed with the team honestly proud of the lads they produced the game of the season so far for me.Β
It looked a brilliant display and an entertaining game by all accounts, it seems Crawley tried but couldn't the net until near the end. It's good to read comments about every area for Notts improving.
Jon Stead is proving himself to be an excellent captain.
Good morning PoN, Iβm feeling a lot better this morning my throat seems to have improved thanks to TCP. Iβm really glad I struggled to the match last night it was great and soon made me forget I felt ill.
The big news is Iβve finally reached my target weight after two years, Iβve now officially lost two stone. Whoop whoop.
Have a great day everyone.

So me and @ChrisΒ have been talking and we would really like to get a fan on board for either Episode 45 or 46 of the PONCast for an Interview or the whole podcast. We understand that people might not be comfortable with doing this or have the equipment to do so.Β
But this is an opportunity for any fan to come forward and get involved with the only fan podcast that Notts County have. Leave a comment down below if you would like to get involved within the next few weeks.Β
Don't panic ... it's completely your choice of how much you want to get involved. Be interesting to hear your feedback and feel free to message either me or Chris privately if you have any worries or queries.
You Pies!!!!!!!

Good morning PoN itβs a bit milder this morning but cloudy and grey.
Iβve got a sore throat, looks like Iβm getting a cold, I shouldnβt really complain I donβt really get colds very often, Iβve gargled with TCP βthat vomit inducing liquidβ as our American friend who came to stay called it when she had a sore throat and we gave her some. I must say I agree with her but it is good for soothing it although it tastes and smells vile.
Iβm going to see how I feel after breakfast before I decide whether to go for a run, Iβm dying to try out my new running shoes.
Hopefully Iβll be ok for the match tonight, we need another win but itβs going to be tough. COME ON YOU PIES!
After today, which was a good win, will we start to go up the league table.
There are some decent teams to play in the coming weeks but points are on offer if we play like today.Β
We look a lot more structured and solid at the back and going forward we look decent and when that is in full flow, we will look really dangerous in my opinion.Β
Crawley (H), Macclesfield (A), Oldham (H), Bury (A), MK (A), Swindon (H) is what October brings. Predictions for points from October out of 18? I'll go with 11 (DWDWLW in that order).
I know that's being optimistic and I don't want to start getting ahead of myself but I think we will kick on now.Β
